  • This World War II footage follows reinforcements landing on Attu Island and "Flying Tigers" preparing for combat missions in the Pacific, as large crowds pray for the troops in Chicago. As paratroopers make a practice jump on Panama, Brazilian president Vargas reviews the military and winter settles on New York City with an ice sculpture in Rockefeller Center. Troops aboard transport ships cross the equator and prepare for war.

In part 3, paratroops make a practice jump over the jungles of Panama. Part 4 shows an ice carnival in Rockefeller Center, New York City. In part 5, troops board transport ships. It shows ceremonies as a ship crosses the equator and gunnery practice. In part 6, President Vargas reviews a military parade in Rio de Janeiro. U.S. troops honor Brazil in a Washington, D.C. parade.
