Now I more fully understand the cancer I had 2 years ago. At the age of 72, I stood up and suddenly dropped several ping pong sized clots down my legs. Biopsy and imaging was followed by the surgery described in this video. Fortunately, chemo was not necessary. I realized that my "new normal" included changes in how my remaining abdominal organs work. Now and again, it does feel OK to complain...on the other hand, I am still here to greet the dawn of each day! Thank you for this most informative video...much appreciated!!

The speaker was very good at explaining the process. I think anyone can understand his explanation.
What a fine job he did!

This video is amazingly clear. Doesn’t mince his words. Doesn’t give much hope that vaginal bleeding can be anything else. Would’ve wanted him to also discuss polyps in this context.

Thank you so much for clearly explaining how endometrial cancer can develop. Unfortunately, I gained a lot of weight over the years and at 61 was diagnosed with this type of cancer. However, I was fortunate that it was caught very early and no chemo or radiation was required after a full hysterectomy. I agree, obesity is a major health issue and it has so many unhealthy repercussions. This is just one of them. Thank you doctor for a superb presentation!

while type 1 endometrial cancer is the most common form of endometrial cancer... I wish you also at least acknowledged type 2, which comprise of far more aggressive and lesser known forms

I understand what he is saying. It makes sense. However if you have post menopausal bleeding and your dr wants to do a biopsy cancer is missed about 16 percent of the time. Because if the sampling of cells is taken from other places than where the cancer is the biopsy will be negative. It happened to me

I agree, my gyno wanted to do the biopsy so I referred myself to a gynecologist oncologist and he suggested a hysteroscopy as well as D&C. This was successful in my diagnosis.

Endometrial Serous Carcinoma? Why don’t you talk about this diagnosis? Not all endometrial cancers are under the umbrella spoken of in this video, in fact, the most dangerous isn’t included.

What if a woman who had diagnosed hyperplasia & was then given a endometrial ablation? Is there any risk of developing cancer?
After a ablation I was told it’s very difficult to do another DNC because of scar tissue, however, this person has had severe abdominal pain since & is well past the surgical pain.

Im still in the productive years. (37) Ive been having abnormal bleeding in between periods for about 2 years. I pass huge painful blood clots around day 4 of the regular period. Should I push my doctor to get my endometrial biopsied?
