STA-2 was my 2nd premium tank. It was the first tank I ever 2 marked. Still love this tank to death, great shell velocity on its standard round, 275 HEAT pen, sub 6 second reload and great gun handling. It will definitely teach you to play paper mediums

I like that you have normal equipment on the tank. It shows us how the tank really plays (like we , the players, would have it setup).
I love the STA-2. It’s nostalgic since it’s one of my first premiums after the Mutz. They’re both honest versatile fun medium tanks.
Love this tank and STA-1, love the challenge, not a east tank to play like the AMX 65T I used to enjoy immensely before the last nerf. Thanks skill for giving this tank some love ❤️

I got this tank recently. Honestly, I love the thing. I don't play it too often, since I'm grinding XP for other tanks, but I love it every time I use it. Vents, bounty coated optics, and a camo net are what I use. Most tanks can't even see me until they are within 50 meters.

STA-2 is my most played tank
I use:Vents, CVS, Vert Stabs.
In my humble opinion, its super consitant tank to play with I play at controlled range, bushes are my biggest friend and I do play it as a scout when needed, it feels like a small Leopard 1 and I think people really missing out on this tank, but from other side I like it that I don't meet a lot of STA-2 so I feel unique, tho why people don't really play it, that its hard to master, but for that opinion its best and my favorite tank in the game, its not like BZ where u just go at everyone like an idiot and slap someone for 800dmg, I see no fun in that, the most fun tanks are like STA-2 where when u master it u feel on top of the world and it feels like u deserve good games now it cuz you worked for it hard.
Got this tank from referal cause i was 100% sure this would be way better than people say it is just by looking at it's stats on gg. And im glad i was right. Highlights being it's gunhandling, viewrange and shell velocity.
I sell sta2 after getting Progetto46. It's not a bad tank, but I feel it's just kind of inferior to p46 in almost every aspect.
If only sta 2 got a auto reloader then yes 😂

I enjoyed STA-1 so much that I waited for discount and bought STA-2, not so many battles yet but I enjoy it 3 times more than Schwarzpanzer 58
I do find it odd that none of the Japanese mediums leading up to the STB-1 have anywhere near the armor capabilities of its Tier X

I’m always ready for my daily dose of Skill! I traded my Patriot in for this tank on your recommendation. On paper it looks meh! Would never call it powerful but it is fun and effective. The combination of agility, gun handling and flexibility make it really fun.

i miss when the STA-2 had a better reload and worst standard pen. i think 185?, but .5sec better reload is .5 sec reload. when they "buffed" the tank to have better pen and worst reload i feel it took away the one thing that made the tank stand out. plus it still had the 275 heat pen.

You need love Skill....choose paper tank,going trollo to openn feild and lose half of Hp:)
Last game is the rather common frustrating experience when you are in a +1/+2 match and your top tiers are brainde*d. That said medium tanks usually tend to have an easier time when in those matches. As armor doesn't really exist for the most part against +1/+2 enemy. Speed, agility, camo however still matter, both of which heavies don't have on average.

skill can you do obj 430u next? im trying to grind out the obj 430 but i only do like 800 to 1200 dmg nearly every game because i dont think i know how to play a heavy-medium. try to support or snipe and fire gold, gun is ass. try to use armor, gun deppression and dpm is ass. use alpha to trade, i cannot trade with tier 9 or 10 heavies and i am taking one for the team. i liked obj 140, t54 and t44, but Obj 430 tier 9 is weird for me. im like 20 games in, but i need guidance, sir skill. I really have fun with strong alpha gun like t34-3, but i cannot get this tank to work.

Strange, but i consider STA-1 to be better tank that STA-2. I like to use big strengths of the vehicles and STA-1 has amazing DPM (reloading on base 1s quicker than STA-2) and better cammo. I feel better playing STA-1 with CvS, Optics and Vents. STA-2 has every parameter mediocre or slightly above average. Mobility is very nice, but it is still much slower than Progetto 46 or Bourrasque - which are the most in battles. Gun is average - good gun-handling, but still i prefer much more to snipe from the big distances with Panther II; but DPM - DPM is stinker/lackluster - with 240 alpha, no armour, 2k base DPM is really bad, worse than Progetto 46 which has 3 shells in magazine.
Besides, it is often extremely hard to make a good result with it, when everybody play hull-down or in other case - smarter Bourrasque will simply outspot you and give 2 shells for free (or for 240 dmg).
Consider all of that, i rated STA-2 (2moe) 2/5 (no really big strengths) and STA-1 (3moe) 3/5 (really nice DPM).

@@SuperDinomagic I'm not sure, hellcat is nimble and can have crazy camo and view range. Also tier 4 tier hellcat has way more alpha and penetration, with bit of support can deal with some tricky situations in terms of brawl.
But yes, overall played as a non risk hellcat should work very good :)

this gun is one of the most unrelieble guns in the game , if it counts shots going all over the place but not at the target , even form 10 meter fully aimed in 3 of 5 shots would easy miss 1400+ m/s ?? my ass ... the 970 m/s form the shrek are way faster ...

in the bad side of europe 1 of 1000 is a good player, in the first world where i live West Europe 1 of 27 is good.. That says it all about the Balkan and other trash that "belongs" to Europe.. Altho they are more russian/middle east in personallity... they are just not good enough
