Syarif Alsaf12 we are offended because Al-Quran is not suppose to be used in Entertainment purpose.. We are not saying that CL is totally at fault, CL probably didnt know about it when she was recording it.. Nevertheless the person who put the Quran verse in there should Apologize..We are just asking the person who is responsible for this to apologize.. If you are a Muslim , You should actually feel something.. Even people who is not a Muslim is on our side. We are trying to defend Islam, so that no one will use Al-Quran for Entertaiment purposes again..
Syarif Alsaf12 if you're a real Muslim u should feel like us moreover u should not say some words like "fuck" cuz our Islam don't give us the right to say this words. ❌🚫 So, we are Muslims, we love Islam, and we are jealous on our Islam.
Well the video itself says that it was the MUSIC PRODUCER at fault for using the Quran, not CL... So I don't think it's right for blaming CL... She even apologized despite the whole issue not being her fault.
personally, as a Muslim Kpop fan who loves kpop and also TEDDY as a producer, seeing the Qur'an being used like this makes me so sad. I really hope nothing like this happens again.
CL ONLY wrote the Lyrics, TEDDY made everything else. She tried to convince him multiple Times but he didn’t do it in the beginning but afterwards he changed it! CL apologised for TEDDYS shit. I myself am a Muslim, but else then reporting, blame it on Teddy and Not on CL.
@@queenlin i'm not blaming it on CL, i guess it does sound like that , though . i'll edit the message , thanks ! when did she try to convince TEDDY though ?
Allah said about that thing: وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلْعَبُ قُلْ أَبِاللَّهِ وَءَايَاتِهِ وَرَسُولِهِ كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَهْزِئُونَ simply, I will not comment what she done,, in judgment day allah will judge who did this terrible thing :/
+Soo Hee First off it's not like she wrote the music, she only rapped to the background. Most artists have nothing to do with digitizing music - it's complicated and, quite frankly, it's someone else's job, not theirs. Second, even if it sounds similar to scripture reading (which I don't deny it does) it doesn't make it intentional, meant to be disrespectful, or used for any other reason then it sounds pretty cool. All these arguments saying that CL is rude and disrespectful (among all the other worse comments) are jumping to conclusions, following the crowd blindly, or stirring up drama for no reason. Just stop.
We don't need to be Muslims to understand that this is wrong .. I understand that CL might not have meant to do that . BUT still please respect the REAL Muslims who have been supporting You PEACEFULLY . I mean no harm to CL , I rlly love her but I love being a Muslim too . N this is the least thing I could do for Islam .
Ant Idk wut has gotten into you , but I hope u feel OKAY SOON! And plz learn proper English cuz the things I said were very clear and PEACEFUL! N plz don't ruin Islam's image by your racism and illogical mentality... I wasn't trying to teach anybody anything. I was trying to defend my own religion . P.S. I'm a MUSLIM
actually, it's the opposite. She told her new engineer to play the new version, but instead, he played the old version. While it played, she peacefully stood there and stopped performing, bowed (a polite Korean gesture) and also sent out a twitter apology. She never intended to offend anyone. Please stop hating on her.
Saja Mhamed isn't the bible or everybody not just you? arent we supposed to get along and I pretty sure you have heard of our bible and im not offened plus why aren't you offened by aladin and Hollywood?
she already apologized people! first of all, she didn't even know that the mixed song is quran, second, she's not the one who editd it, third, she already told her engineer to delete it forever .. please stop the hates
kaiser anitpodes I'm a Muslim and I find that there is a lot of people in the social media that make fun of Jesus in different way, like wearing costumes, memes in Twitter and everything and I have always found that disrespectful toward the religion, but I barely see someon defending its religion
brand started from S and in red but it doesn't really matter what matters is that we respect all the religions and we believe in them and we will never let the racists destroy us :)
That is not true bruh. The reason others are not respectful towards your religion is because majority of your people are not respectful towards other religions especially East and South Asian religions.
This is really difficult for me to make any comments about. But I would like to voice my opinion. As far as my understanding goes, Muslim is a very peaceful religion. I myself am Christian, so it's hard for me to speak from your point of view. I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't be but it's something I just feel sorry for. This song IS NOT the only song to use a Verse from the holy book. However it is a very vivid use. After a long time of research I've come to understand that this book is very important! Not only is it important but it's sacred. It's crazy to see how other people bash the Muslim religion for wanting to protect their sacred holy book. There are so many things I've seen, especially the, "Don't throw your religion in everyone else's face!" Well, I've got news for those people.. Religion is the world. And you wouldn't want other people selling the word of your sacred texts! It may have been a misunderstanding...but it's not like their asking to run CL down or even YG for that matter. It's true that now that it's up, it can never be taken down, but it's not to late for another version that the Muslim K-pop fan base can enjoy.... The response of non-Muslim fans just really makes the rest of us understanding ones look bad. I support your wanting this down, but I will admit it'll be difficult to completely remove it and put out a new one. I apologize, ahead for anything I've said that could offended anyone. Hwaiting!
I'm so happy to find some one who researched and understood how much Qur'an is important to us , not like others who talk to defend the song without considering how it's really painful for muslims to hear Qur'an in a song , THANK YOU so much for your understanding ❤️️❤️️❤️️
I felt a little of the same way. I am also Christian and I find it disheartening when people use the Bible in disrespectful ways in media. Even people have used Hebrew and Babylonian in disrespectful ways, which is the language of many importance during the writing of Judaism and Christianic faith. It also happens with sacred Hindu texts that people use in indie songs about drugs/sex. I think the world just needs to respect one another's private life of their beliefs/religion/philosophy so we can better understand each other. I am glad they changed that part, and it still sounds awesome because i love the song, but was a little uncomfortable with the original.
wowww, your words made me in tears. I'd never thought there would be such a great non-muslim that could understand how Muslim feels. people don't understand how great The Holy Qur'an is & how we respect the sacred book so much. we even need to put it on a high place & cannot be put on the lowest. that's how important & precious the Qur'an is. it's the God's book & can never be used for anything disrespectful. we Muslims do recite The Holy Qur'an & we do sing it but in an Islamic way. it's like singing but it's not called singing. it's reciting. I don't know how to explain it. let's just say like how the boy in there recites the Qur'an. it might sound not a big deal for the non-muslims. but it is a really big deal for us. because the Qur'an cannot be used for something inappropriate. the Qur'an itself called the 'Holy'. so everything in the Qur'an is about true things, great things, peace & everything. it's like an imaginary heaven if you read the book. no matter if you don't know the meanings of the words, you still find it sounds so pretty because that's the natural beauty of it. 'Holy' explains everything. and in the lyrics they cursed, they say bad things & that's how we meant by how disrespectful it is to put it in a song and offend us. just to make a slight comparison (not to make a bad impression), it's like you sing the bible in a disrespectful way. you put a rap music or rock music or etc and you curse about something else but there's a sentence about the bible eventhough the lyrics doesn't make sense. it may matches the melody/song. but still, it doesn't please to anyone's hearings. even more, it includes Jesus's name too which is totally inappropriate. I just hope everything's going to be alright for CL. CL and YG couldn't be blamed for either for this huge mistake. however, they still owe an apology to Muslim people.
That's why they put it in the song! Imagine people wholly distracted by worldly life, their souls thirsty for spirituality, in a need of the word of God that soothes the heart and brings peace of mind, so let us blend Quran with it making them more consumed in this with increased satisfaction from hearing it and of course it becomes more popular and addictive. Such demonic way of thinking.
#cl_stop_using_our_quran
I'm Muslim myself. And the Quran is meant to be read in a melodic voice. This does not mean that everyone in the world reads every section of it in the same melody. That short instrumental part that coincidentally matched the boy's voice is just that: a coincidence. It's not CL's fault, it's not the producer's fault, and it's not an insult to the religion, in my opinion. Who ever said that these particular notes in this particular order can't be used anywhere else but when someone is reading the Quran?
Please comment this on 2ne1s youtube page there is so much hate against her with mindless fools/ "fans" jumping on the hate bus. We need more open views from you and you are Muslim as well so help people understand.
Aiden Achovy I don't think she should use the Quran either, but I don't think she used the Quran in the first place. If she did, then it would be kind of an insult. But I highly doubt she did. When I listenened to it, it sounded like someone was going "nananana~~~" or something. It didn't sound like a person reciting the Quran. But I personally don't think people should use the Quran in any songs--even Islamic ones.
Skye Lockwood I've honestly searched this topic in and out, and seriously hear no Quran verses or words. I saw the video with the little boy singing and that's it. It just sounds like another Arabic tune to me. So keep fighting Skye! I know it's hard to oppose the hateful things that are being commented and support something that is supposedly "controversy" and it hurts to see such hate towards an amazingly talented and loved group 2ne1 and member CL. If you're outnumbered, lemme know me and Ill be more than happy to have your back.
her apology wasn't even sincere, just blaming it on the sound engineer and making excuses like "i didn't know" when she had played that ver for multiple live shows. lmao btw she also has rehearses she could've taken it out then and not used it at all from there if she really did have respect for Islam
she already apologized people! first of all, she didn't even know that the mixed song is quran, second, she's not the one who editd it, third, she already told her engineer to delete it forever .. stop all hates..
I'm not sure if this affects anything but, I've been listening to it over and over again and the only difference I can hear is that the boy's tone and vocals are a bit different and I can't actually hear the words in the song. YG could've used the boy's voice, shifted the tone and used an effect to filter the words out in the instrumental or it could just be a coincidence or YG did hear this boy reciting the surah, and tried to accomplish a similar tone and melody. All in all, I'm on the fence here.
I do see the similarities. It's impossible to know if it's a coincidence because it's a pretty small part. I think the best thing would be if YG, Teddy, or CL released a statement addressing this issue. But I don't think CL made this part of the song. She just wrote some lyrics so I think it was Teddy who made this part. Since people have taken offense at it then it might be wise to change that part, but we'll see if anything happens.
teany kim but to many do, that's the problem here and they are not nice like others. And i'm not sure, if they are muslims or just fake, trying to be muslims to blame it on CL and destroy her.
Bicho Taki shut the fuck up, this is history. They changed it a long time ago, all are happy now, so just shut up and go away. Your people just don't know when to stop, right? And muslims really ask WHY the most people dislikes them? And i'm not a muslim, thank god, but i know that MUSLIMS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HATE AND SWEAR, it is a sin. And i also know, that Allah is (that is what you people say) forgiving, well i was really thinking HE TEACHED THAT TO YOU TOO. PLUS you people say, your religion is the religion of PEACE? Well all lies, aren't they? And now go and don't even talk to me. And learn some english, seriously. You are nothing but a hypocrite, you bash on someone (she didn't even make the song) who don't know about quran, but YOU know about it and you give a shit about the "rules" of being a muslim. HYPOCRITE!!!
For someone who is not muslim, they may not notice it. But ,as a muslim and someone who listens to quran recitation, I can clearly notice it. This is just disrespectful
The producer of CL's song "MTBD" is Teddy Park. She apologized and erased that version of the song. Teddy Park produced the song and didn't even apologized. CL did
@@scopolamin1 if I sued you're religion you're not gonna be happy Quran is holy and it's really bad because they used it in music that is not a good behaviour it's not cl fault it's the producers and company that I am blaming
@@mehdihouoiry7560 I am not happy because your people are torturing, raping and killing innocent people all around the world. You don't care about human lifes, but you are crying about a song, hypocrite.
Okay so this topic have become very popular in just few days. I saw the video and I heard the voice well. This topic started small in instgram where some Arabic fans confronted CL about it nicely in an understanding manner and just few minutes from that, she blocked and deleted them. From that, the problem become worst and it went wild in twitter. It made a lot of fans angry, upset and disappointed especially her own Arabic fans. If only she responded well to it, none of this would have happened and gave her so much hate like this. And what they have asked of her is that she would delete this part or remake it, they didn't insult her or anything. YJ should take responsibility of this and be more careful in the future. Hopefully this won't get any bigger than it already did. No one has the right to disrespect any religious and use it in a discrasful manner. The right thing to do is for her and the company apologise to the fans and the Arabic world.
People have to consider that they live Korea.A lot of old people over there haven't even seen a black person before for example. I'm sure they didn't know that they put a verse in there, people took this out of proportions when they stared insulting her, telling her to go to hell,to die. It just makes me sax because they should consider other people too, i mean they didn't do it on purpose I'm sure. When someone does something wrong you usually correct them. But to straight away just hate like that ...and I hate that people are discussing this on social media sites and not with the company itself making this bigger than it is supposed to be.
Agreed. Living in Japan, I have the same view as most of the Korean people who didn't even notice this part of the song. But even then, doing an immature thing such as telling CL that she deserves the hell only is just unacceptable. If Teddy was disrespectful by breaking the Quran's words that are sacred for Muslims, some fans are being totally disrespectful by breaking any holy book's words by offending someone (instead of just criticising the errors, correcting their mistakes and accepting their flaws). Childish fans need to learn that "Hating someone will get you nowhere". We should all correct each other's mistakes and create an harmony.
leba minott I was a muslim but i didn't knew anything about the quran, a i'm know not a muslim anymore for like 3 years but even people i know that are muslim says that is doesn't sound familliar.
probably you find muslim who are same with you.Muslim who did not nothing 'bout quran so how you guys can prove that the verse is Quran ..yet you guys know nothing 'bout it ?hey please open your eyes, eventho imma not muslim but i know the verse is from quran.😠
After watching this clip over and over and reading almost all the comments here... I literally have no comments for both sides. What I realized though, how some people have so much HATE in their hearts. Like Martin Luther Kind said: "I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." Now if u excuse me, I will enjoy my chicken here... #chickenismystyle & #freehugsforeveryone PEACE!
Wait I'm muslim it's not cl's fault but the one who listened to taha's voice (the little kid) and decided to put it in the song he/she is the one who is rude and mean Cuzz it's not allowed and it's really a sensitive issue to put something that has relation with religion in ur song that's mean to be honest I'm muslim too and I'm cl's fan and multifandom ..if people respect our religion we will for sure respect them ...
You don't know arabic i assume , and i'm arabian , obviously i know arabic words when i hear them , and i know a verse of Qur'an when i hear one , i can hear it clearly , this means a lot to us and it offends us since it's so sacred that we can't put it in a song , and please don't compare it to bible if you're christian , because they are two different books from two different religions
I wasn't comparing religions, just stating what I heard. Either way it's now been removed, so there's no need for anyone to fuss. I'm no one meant to intentionally meant to offend Islam when the song was created.
Amina Lucilia Jamal I am a Muslim Arab and the use of the quran in the song very angered .. and the meaning of verse is the gardens and vines .. a description of Paradise .. which will enter Muslims in the afterlife ..
okay it's disrespectful for Muslims so we gotta respect that Quran MUSTN'T be used in songs that's why Muslim people r angry about this line in the songs so we have to respect them , that's what i wanted to say
You do realize that you played the music while the kid was reading Quraan ? That's what exactly happened in CL's song and I know it wasn't on purpose and it's not CL's fault. All we want is an apology and edit the song.
Guys we know its was Very rude but please remember that she apologized for what she did and she didn’t have a clue it’s was a Quran am moslim too and I’m okay with it since she apologized
This made my heart sink...i couldnt hear it before this video but now I can hear it very clearly. Im pretty disapointed. Not in CL, she did nothing wrong, but in Teddy. I still enjoy this song, however. I don't think it will ever feel the same though. (I am a christian, by the way)
I just realized.. it's rude of her to do that but, she apologized, and we have to forgive. We (Muslims) learned to forgive people. Let's not disappoint god, let's be real Muslims.
The logic is very simple: Is CL a Muslim? No. Is Teddy a Muslim? No. Is YG a Muslim? Again, No. Then how will they know that the song was similar in that Holy Book? Are people expect them to search it one by one just to avoid the similarities? I mean come one, they aren't that diligent to even search for Islamic words, phrases, tunes just to create a 3 minutes music and to be played for a matter of seconds. There's no malicious intent in this situation and people around started to implicit hatred towards the singer who's just doing her job. DEATH THREATS, BULLYING, CURSING...I mean, all of those three are bad in whatever religions we have. At the end of the day, only God can judge, forgive or give punishments.
it's not that it's "similar" its a straight out copy word for word from the quran. that's one strange coincidence if it was just "similar" . they had to know it was from the quran other wise how would they know about these verses? i think the intention behind this was to get publicity!
Publicity? How could you expect them to get publicity out of hatred from the land they are bound to do concerts and perform in front of thousands of Muslims??? Yes, I agree that they should know that the phrase was almost (or let's just say, 100%) similar to that of Q'uran, but the point is, that was unintentional. 2ne1 has so many fans in Malaysia and Indonesia so they wouldn't so anything that will hurt their image on that region. How would they copy words for words from something they don't understand? The writing as well as the language was very far from that of english and hangul. I get it that some were insulted and needed a clarification but they DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO SENTENCE SOMEONE TO DEATH!
MinamiTV here we go with the "stop sending death threats" just to distract people of what Cl (or her producers ) did. i get it i get it, i don't agree with any of of those silly people who are being vocally aggressive about it but lets focus on what caused it. yes it was intentional. u cant say it was 100% similar and not be intentional because it cannot be a coincidence. not only does the voices match (of the little boy) but the words match to the Quran. so how would they know about it unless they searched for it or found it online , and by doing that they had to have known it was a Quran recitation. you don't just stumble upon a quran recitation or hear it out of the blue in coffee shop or anything like that! so this had to be intentional. maybe they wanted to get attention out of this song after seeing how much controversy katy perry's Dark Horse song got! maybe they wanna go mainstream.. i don't know, all i know is that this was done on purpose,it cannot be a coincidence.
xraid8 Done on purpose? Okay, I get it too. You just judge someone base on a blurry speculations. And Q'uran to be search just to create a controversy? I doubt it. It was out for almost a week and people started to react after the release of the live performance...?_? Wow. Where's the fun in that? It didn't actually make sense that a person tends to hurt a religion just to get fame. RELIGION of the people where that person receives so much LOVE. I dislike the fact that behind this controversy are the coveted intention of the people who only wants someone's disruption. Forgive me, but base on how I see it, I got what are you really defending. And it's not your holy religion.
May I just say that speaking as a Wiccan I have heard many songs "abusing" things that are sacred to me, but I don't raise a fuss about it. Sane with Christianity. Shows like family guy openly make a mockery of Jesus and God, but the show still airs. If this really is a sacred verse then let it go. It's not being mocked, nor is it in an song that isn't tasteful. This is all just being blown out of proportion because one person kicked up a fuss when they noticed and people just jumped on the bandwagon. If you really find this offensive to your beliefs then don't tell an innocent party to go kill themselves (because really, who wakes up and says, 'you know what? I think I want to hurt my career and offend people with religion'. No one). The better thing to do is to move past it, because a song that uses a sacred verse as background music really isn't worth tearing someone's career apart, nor is it worth the time to hate. Just accept it as ignorance and move on, because if I dwelled on everything that spat on my religion I wouldn't have a life left to live.
I'm sorry but its not the same. It is a major sin in Islam to mock God and the Quran our holy book. It strictly mentions in the Quran that those and even Muslims who take part in the mockery will be punished.
Different religions have different levels as to what they consider as disrespectful. In Islam's case, us muslims are more closely tied with our religion, as we incorporate it in life, not as a separate thing. Every muslim has to read the quran every single day, doesnt have to be out of the book, but can be from their memorization. This is because we have to pray 5 times a day, the only exceptions being women on their period. My point is, that the quran is very closely related to our lives, so we would be more sensitive towards it than other religions. ^^
Are you saying I'm not closely tied to mine? Right now, everyone who has replied to this is speaking as though all other religions are less and that their beliefs are not as important. That is far from true. If this song wounds you then get tougher skin like the rest of us have had to. I have seen my religion debased and mocked on countless occasions and I have had to learn that there is nothing that can be done about it. Fighting it is only throwing more fuel onto the fire of hatred. I repeat, JUST LET IT GO. Say whatever you want in response to this post, but I will no longer reply or even read the responses. Why? Because I'm letting it go. I have said all I felt needed to be said and now it is no longer my concern.
Religion issue is very sensitive issue... And i don't think YG even care about this.... So i won't say anything about them... But what surprised me is the muslims who said that they were not offended by this issue and said it is just a vocal or sound or whatever... What happened to the muslims.. Don't you afraid?? When i first hear this, i just thought how could this happened.. but judging by some of the muslims reactions, i just thought we should reflected to ourself first... how could us made ignorant statements just to protect our favourite artist rather than to protect your own religion...
Im a muslim and im dissapointed in KPOP industry a while ago. They do not respect muslims by using Quran as a background music? I cant believe this. I hope theres no such thing like these in the world again. Quran is not a thing you can play with. Islam is not a religion you can mess with.
I don't agree about this sound mixing....but thank to 2NE1, so I can know this Arabian kid ! He has very beautiful voice, maybe he could be the next Maher Zain ? hehehe :p
Gotseven Jackson its words, BTW a friend heard me talking Arabic and said its like music i cant hear a word = meaning if u arenot arabic u cant define the words mr! :) its 2 words from the quran (u can never say it in a casual arabic talk.. )
yah...ok im already over this. YG has already resolved this by editing the song and CL was not really affected by the change...shes still earning good money and srry if i offended anyone?...
Make it simple "nobody's perfect in the worlds" if people who judge CL too much i think u must think about your self and for sure God is Good God love people so much even when people bad, so why people judge and hate too much? just let CL and YG ent go, it just their problem, before u know this situation i know u will enjoy this song, so know once again just CL and YG ent go, lets be a better person who love peace :)
you still dont get it.. no one care who fault is this we just want that part to be removed we dont want anyting else no apologize nothing people still twerk to that part for god sake please understand us
maybe it just YG ent bussiness with God and yea im agree with you but i dont want to blame YG ent or CL too much, cause im ashamed to God cause i have mistake so much and my opinion its "just let cl and yg go" :)
This is very late, but a point I’d like to clarify to non-Muslims who think Muslims are being overly sensitive and are overreacting that Quran is holy to Muslims and music in a way is a bit on the edge and there are many opinions on it in the Islamic community about it being Haram (forbidden) also to dress and to dance provocatively while having Quran is very disrespectful especially when it is haram to play music while Quran is playing. It’s like someone disrespecting a Buddha statue or disrespecting a cross. Please be tolerant of other religions, and rather than bashing them try to understand why they’re upset and what Quran actually means to them. Whether you don’t believe in a religion or you believe in any sort of other religion, just like how you want people to respect your beliefs and concepts you too should respect them. No one should try to convert anyone, and don’t hate on anyone else because there is no point in hate. Lastly to Muslims, please stop condemning people to hell because that isn’t for you to decide, and in Islam you get punished for doing so (just a reminder of your own religion). Stop being toxic, belittling and volatile, and instead, please love each other, respect each other, try to understand each other, and treat others how you wish to be treated.
مشاعل محمد uhmm..she already apologized people! first of all, she didn't even know that the mixed song is quran, second, she's not the one who editd it, third, she already told her engineer to delete it forever
Waffle Choco yeah, but the verse she used in 2014 and 2016 is different tho, so how can knew that there was a quran in her song if she can't understand it?
To anyone I have offended I sincerely apologize for my mistake,” wrote CL. “What happened was my engineer sent the old version of 'MTBD' for this tour. I take responsibility for not realizing this sooner. My intention was never to use this version.” The original version of “MTBD” was switched out for CL’s performance in Dallas on Sunday (Nov. 6) and the upcoming shows in Atlanta, Chicago, and Toronto will also feature the updated track
I think its merely an inflection in the tone of the song and it wavers. Thats it. How would they have been able to find this and say "hey lets copy some of it." I highly doubt they would of. First, they wouldnt plagiarize somebody else and 2nd, I doubt they had access to it. The 5 second inflextion in the voice/tone I believe was coincidental and people are reading WAY too much into it. Although heck, im christian and I would think id start laughing if they started rapping some Christian bible verse and be like 'wtf how did that get in there?'
Uhhhhh ok im just saying from a Christian stand point, if they used any hymns or bible verses we'd all laugh and think its funny. But Im assuming from all the commotion that religion is an enormous deal to other religions. Although then again there are christians like my step uncle who wont let you where the peace sign because its a manipulation of the cross. But he also hates homosexuals....sigh....since im assuming your muslim, ill ask why religion is a much more sensitive topic than in other religions. No hate whatsoever seriously, im just curious I swear. Oh and I have a muslim friend who listened to it because she reads the quran and everything and she doesnt know why people think theres something wrong with it.
***** i think now there a lot of thing that all show what that part from and it didn't come from muslim it maybe hear like the same but if u really see the video when she dance she also act like an Indian people and a muslim act so please and please be understand.Thins not cuz a don't like muslim or not but i don't won't international see what muslim be. thank so much if u understand and also if u can be one that can explain that ti muslim^^
CL has taken pictures from photoshoots wearing similar clothing and doing a pose meant to mimic famous artworks of Jesus. I have not heard one Christian say anything about that, even though as an ex-Christian I know that it is definitely considered disrespectful. I understand standing up for your faith, but reacting violently and telling someone things such as "burn in hell" does nothing but make your religion bad-natured. You react so viciously and threatening towards people at anything you come across that seems it is not respecting your religion. But what about respecting other people too? I do not know what Islam teaches but Christianity teaches to treat people the way you want to be treated and to be loving. It would be wrong as a Christian to brutally attack CL the way Muslims are attacking her now. Muslims always say Islam is a peaceful religion. I do not know the religion well so I give them the benefit of the doubt and believe this. But when Muslims react in such an awful manner to anything concerning their religion, it actually makes THEM come off as violent, intolerant, and oppressive! I hope you all just realize what impression you're giving us of your faith by your actions.
maybe cuz u christians dont care about it ? There we see how much you all love bible . And i didnt know that . ps that is actually to us rude too . She is not apologizing just because we are not Korean.. if she was disrespectful about Korean she would have apologized so quickly. so I guess she doesn't care about other fans who supported her from other countries. sad.
Katrina Jong she wasnt even sincere about ther past mistake and said sorry about it. now shes doing it again. well i guess its not wrong to call her fake and to blame the whole company for this, thanks for the good ride YG. from now on youll lose so many of ur fans, ur money and ur fame
Kiki Lala lol. if shes brave enough to play a concert and to release it with her own voice in it, why dont she use her voice to say sorry instead of twitter? shameless
Now, what I'm curious about -- as someone who speaks neither Arabic or Korean -- is what the meaning of CL's song, and the meaning of the divine reading mean. I don't know much about Korean-Muslim relations, so I can't really comment on this fact, but I'm wondering if the two meanings share some commonality? Though, I agree with ShouHiro, in getting a sort of bollywood-esque type of sound. At least, what I interpret to be a bollywood-sounding audio bit.
"CL is blocking any one trying to talk with her about the song?" u gotta be kidding the world, child. she is receiving hate and death threats for the past few days which I KNOW you were stalking her through the social network. Don't act innocent and get lost from youtube and elsewhere. YOU ARE NOT WELCOME.
disclaimer: I am not religous in any form so I may not fully understand the issue. Most likely, YG/Teddy didn't know this was a religious piece of audio. They probably thought it fit really well with the track they were producing. I would think it to be flattering that they would use my "religion" in a song that was produced for the mainstream. It did not seem like they were making fun or bashing the Quran at all. Yes, I get that it is forbidden to use the Quran in music, but do you expect others to know the intricacies of each religion? bottom line: they thought it sounded good. they used it in a song. I find it really cool that the world is getting smaller and language/religion/race/color/gender etc is becoming more universal. Of course there should be mutual respect. We learn from mistakes. It was a mistake to use a verse from the Quran. Now the whole KPOP community knows about it. It has spread knowledge of another religion to a huge group of people. I'm sure, because of this incident, OTHER artists and producers will be more respectful because NOW THEY KNOW.

mtbd instrumental part is pure synths, yes its similar to the vocals of the boy but no sentences or words were used from what i can hear, and i have a good ear since i play songs on the piano by ear, it's at least my opinion and i hope Papa YG will release an official statement regarding this.
Nohayla Ajmi and latifa m i asked a couple of friends of mine who are muslim about their opinion of this song they heard it 5 times and each and everyone said that the elongation of the vowels used through the chorus synths are similar to what is shown on this video but not exact and i even took out CL's vocals and i heard synths, However as i've stated on other videos everyone has their own opinion and religion which i respect wholeheartedly, but it doesn't give anyone the right to threaten or put down others over them either. Every single human in this world isn't perfect even those who claim they are, are not, and they deserve to fix the mistake, IF there is one, any way they see fit. CL is Korean she wanted to implement Arabic music in her new song as a special surprise for her fans, TEDDY was the one who ARRANGED the song NOT HER and even if she was somehow involved in the arrangement, how on earth was she and teddy supposed to know that the sample synths he used sounded so similar to a verse in the Quran and the implications behind it? If they would've known they would not have used it and Papa YG would not have approved of it, trust me he always wants the groups to give their all and strive for perfection, and of course he wants the fans to be happy. In the end there is only one last thing to say on my behalf and that is that if you want respect and people to listen to you the best way to achieve it is to simply talk RESPECTFULLY to others please remember that next time you comment.
***** i'm not arabian but I'm practicing very well and this verse of qur'an is one that i read the most so i agree with u there's sound of kid recited qur'an in this song
Samantha Gongora OKAY! Of course the producers should be blamed and I'm pretty sure they didn't play it on purpose maybe it was just a mistake (I hope that is true) but yeah the staff and CL herself should be carful next time coz we, Muslims, really don't like a phrase from our holy book being used in a song and then people dancing to it 😞. I really hope this is the last time they'll make this kind of mistake. And thank you for replying and telling me!! :)
i think YG should make a statement about it. it is really important for everyone. anyways support cl and YG Entertainment,LOYAL BLACKJACKS&V.I.P.s. :) #bestrongCL #weloveyouYG
Everyone in this world is cruel and everyone does disrespectful things. It's best to just let it go. Besides, people are always offending someone, so just learn to forgive. Why would you take the time to over-analyze something. It's just a song. It wasn't intended to offend or hurt anyone. It's just for entertainment purposes. At the end of the day, we should all love each other and learn to forgive and forget. We shouldn't give hate and instead should love, but these are just my thoughts.
I agree most people in this world are cruel :( I guess that's why many people will end up in a bad place after death :( "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it."
Don't worry If anything is done in ignorance, it is forgivable. But if someone is going on after knowing it, that is a guilt, disrespectful and disliked. This is the right rule. And any muslim can't blame someone because he did something even bad agaisnt his religion or other thing in his *ignorance.* God is the all knowing and Omnipotent ! And All Praise be To the Absolute God ! And using musics in preaching wisdom is permissible in Islam. For more questions about what you want please met me know and i will help you by the power and will of God !
i am sorry but now you are wrong, because islam say we cant lesson to the music, so what about music in our book?! even if: (using musics in preaching wisdom is permissible in Islam). thank you for your word.
+Esther Mombrun I agree with you, I think that they didn't notice it until spoken. But even though Qu'ran is apart of Muslims holy book, it still isn't right to be sending death threats to YG, Teddy And CL. I really understand what they mean, ( the way I can kinda see it being offended is by looking at the meaning of the song, and YG and teddy put a little bit of Qu'ran in it) I am NOT Muslim, I am catholic and I am not creating war, I am just saying my thought.
Isa Antur Thank you. (: i still dont understand why they wanna send death threats... -.- We all make mistakes and maybe CL doesnt have intentions to insult Muslim. (:

No need for Thanking ^^ I appriciate your peaceful requests. I've become a better person, and now understand more about the muslim religion.
HThumbs up *

Why does it matter if she uses it, people use the bible all the time

That's why they put it in the song! Imagine people wholly distracted by worldly life, their souls thirsty for spirituality, in a need of the word of God that soothes the heart and brings peace of mind, so let us blend Quran with it making them more consumed in this with increased satisfaction from hearing it and of course it becomes more popular and addictive. Such demonic way of thinking.

Syarif Alsaf12 No we are sure that it was quran!!
I'm sure it was qur'an too,
I'm Muslim myself.

Micah Sili Thank you for understanding! I actually have posted this on 2NE1's video and there seems to be a lot of support. Thank you, as well :)
It give me chills when I hear the Quran sound
Me too
I'm not sure if this affects anything but, I've been listening to it over and over again and the only difference I can hear is that the boy's tone and vocals are a bit different and I can't actually hear the words in the song.
Since people have taken offense at it then it might be wise to change that part, but we'll see if anything happens.
a lote of us don't blame CL
so we only wants them to delete that part and apologize to us

shut the fuck up, this is history.
CL did
Teddy Park, who is known for producing hits for 2NE1, BLACKPINK, Big Bang,Ikon, treasure, somi song..
Teddy park is the one who uses quranic verses in this song..

Thanks, Iguana, for highlighting this matter. The next we can do to stop it is start reporting all the songs/remix available online ON .

*started *sucks

¡¡Excelente vídeo!!
The tunes sound similar, but the reading sounds like words while in CL's song it sounds like synth to me. *shrugs*
I'm sure*
Ghadeer alhasan what is the meaning of the verse?
Huh
It was HALAL MUSIC not HARAM and the kid wasn't DANCING or SWAYING. Shut tf, nerd.
(I am a christian, by the way)
الاسلام دين الأخلاق .. ارتفوا ب الفاظكم .. دافعوا عن الاسلام بطريقه أرقى و بالاخلاق.. لا تشوهوا الاسلام بألفاظكم
MinamiTV
i billion muslims send death threat to her?!
Just because you think its ok it doesn't make it ok!
My christian friend used to get really offended and I never understood until now!!!
and it is not verse it is Ayat ...thats is soo different :(
I'm sorry but its not the same.
I have said all I felt needed to be said and now it is no longer my concern.
it wasnt singing. Its called reciting ^^ (im not being mean, but im correcting)
Religion issue is very sensitive issue... And i don't think YG even care about this.... So i won't say anything about them... But what surprised me is the muslims who said that they were not offended by this issue and said it is just a vocal or sound or whatever... What happened to the muslims.. Don't you afraid?? When i first hear this, i just thought how could this happened.. but judging by some of the muslims reactions, i just thought we should reflected to ourself first... how could us made ignorant statements just to protect our favourite artist rather than to protect your own religion...
i didn't even realised it was from Quran, i thought it was indian or something.

Stop being toxic, belittling and volatile, and instead, please love each other, respect each other, try to understand each other, and treat others how you wish to be treated.

shut up, You're just stupid, shit.
Oh and I have a muslim friend who listened to it because she reads the quran and everything and she doesnt know why people think theres something wrong with it.

lacey, is it fun to here biblical verse to be rapped? are you sure about it? its like making fun of the word of your lord S*****
Should i tell you why ? cuz Jesus is one of our prophets too . So he is a holy person too us too . So thats really rude too . More reasons to not like her. so I guess she doesn't care about other fans who supported her from other countries.

At least, what I interpret to be a bollywood-sounding audio bit.
bruh non muslim or muslim they would know that this is a quran ayat as they do research before just uploading a song
I agree with you, but why YG doesn't make an official apologize to Muslims?
OR why CL is blocking any one trying to talk with her about the song?
"CL is blocking any one trying to talk with her about the song?"
u gotta be kidding the world, child. she is receiving hate and death threats for the past few days which I KNOW you were stalking her through the social network.

Very rude...
mtbd instrumental part is pure synths, yes its similar to the vocals of the boy but no sentences or words were used from what i can hear, and i have a good ear since i play songs on the piano by ear, it's at least my opinion and i hope Papa YG will release an official statement regarding this.
. I can hear the words clearly (Hada-iqa waaAAnaba) which mean Gardens and grapevines.
Nohayla Ajmi but its not CL's fault.
In the end there is only one last thing to say on my behalf and that is that if you want respect and people to listen to you the best way to achieve it is to simply talk RESPECTFULLY to others please remember that next time you comment.

i'm not arabian but I'm practicing very well and this verse of qur'an is one that i read the most so i agree with u there's sound of kid recited qur'an in this song
MischieBunny 5 years ago..
I didn't expect that from CL😥 and people here saying that it's not first time she did that?? I don't get?? What did she do before??
seoulbeats.com/2014/03/cls-mtbd-quran-run/
Samantha Gongora OKAY! Of course the producers should be blamed and I'm pretty sure they didn't play it on purpose maybe it was just a mistake (I hope that is true) but yeah the staff and CL herself should be carful next time coz we, Muslims, really don't like a phrase from our holy book being used in a song and then people dancing to it 😞. I really hope this is the last time they'll make this kind of mistake. And thank you for replying and telling me!! :)
+Samantha Gongora why should we watch Exos and bts' song ?
+kuroneko :3 lol mate, its the persons username XD like the person who started the comment
kuroneko :3 your comment wins. LOL
i think YG should make a statement about it. it is really important for everyone. anyways support cl and YG Entertainment,LOYAL BLACKJACKS&V.I.P.s. :)

I agree most people in this world are cruel :(
I guess that's why many people will end up in a bad place after death :(
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it."
She used it like backup vocalist wtf 😂
I think he's right. Its not 100% CL's fault. Because she is just sing the song.
Don't worry If anything is done in ignorance, it is forgivable.
But if someone is going on after knowing it, that is a guilt, disrespectful and disliked.
This is the right rule.
And any muslim can't blame someone because he did something even bad agaisnt his religion or other thing in his *ignorance.*
God is the all knowing and Omnipotent !
I really understand what they mean, ( the way I can kinda see it being offended is by looking at the meaning of the song, and YG and teddy put a little bit of Qu'ran in it) I am NOT Muslim, I am catholic and I am not creating war, I am just saying my thought.
i sure who sent that bad words most of them teen ages they don't know what a right way to defence..
Isa Antur Thank you. (:
i still dont understand why they wanna send death threats... -.-
We all make mistakes and maybe CL doesnt have intentions to insult Muslim. (:

@@canadianaviator okey Whatever Bitch I Just Don’t Like About That’s Video Coz This Is Unrespact For My Lovely Religion If You Don’t Care Whatever Up To You Coz You Stupid About Respect I Know That’s Don’t Worry

@@mirific5211 astaghfirullah

@@mirific5211 it's reading not singing, you are so disrespectful and you support a bad person. Ya even tho you are gonna say it's YG fault.
this is how we value and respect our RELIGION! we don't allow anybody to disrespect our sacred QUR'AN (holy book of Muslims).. Don't blame Muslims why we have Jihad (Jihad is a group which fighting for our religion and other religion name it TERRORIST but its not).. IF YOU CAN'T FIGHT FOR UR RELIGION OR YOU DONT EVEN CARE, WE MUSLIM CARE AND WE ARE WILLING TO FIGHT FOR IT NO MATTER WHAT!
go fuck yourself
OMFG LMFAOOOO x"D
if this part really is copying the Holy Qur'an then can u tell me what ayat he was reading? Dont get me wrong im a muslim as well n i respect my religion but this is just a sound with different notes but if u still want to say its an ayat from the Qur'an then which surah is it from? which ayat is it?? what it means in arabic because he didnt say a word in arabic
excuse me sister its Arabic cuz its my first language i can tell he was reading Surah Al-Naba (ان للمتقينا مفازا حدائق و اعنبأ) i guess u don't know Arabic sister i m 100% sure ^^ lets stop listening to music anyway its forbidden ^^
Ouji San i live in saudi arabia n i think i know what im saying
n im talking about cls song not the boy reading the holy Qur'an n im muslim as well
im pretty sure she didn't use it on purpose. she loves all her fans and i really don't think she wound purposely try to hurt her fans considering it's obvious that she would lose her amazing fans and respect. it was wrong for her to do this but maybe it was the producer. i'm pretty sure now she knows so please you should stop the hate. the disrespect was immense but im seeing on social media its putting muslims in a bad light.
Hina Kim she did, I believe she said she knew after she performed in 2014 and now she performed again in 2016 so that's why people are judging her :/
than why she is using it again at her tour i really hate her noww
Hina Kim I was thinking that maybe Scooter Braun didn't know about this controversy & chose the wrong version .. still wrong
me rn blood sweat and tears bts maybe her producers chose the wrong version like lola said :( we should wait until cl publicly announces something but im 99% sure it wasn't intentional. cl and her company aren't that dumb.
Hina Kim She never even apologized the first time. I doubt this time it'll be addressed either.
That's sad.. that's just sad :'(
stop making fun of religion !
Sparrow stfu, she apologized.
but religions are funny]
I like your video. Because u point out things without any offense to others. Good Job sis. :)
Guys just let her talk about this with God
You said what i wanted to say thank youu.
I love Chaelin but she really really fucked up this time ://
TaehyungIsMyBae I love queen too,ofc
there's a thing called rehearsal.A tour where a well known korean singer is performing,of course there will be a rehearsal to avoid any problems from occuring. she should've realized it sooner tho
Or maybe they used the clean ver while rehearsing then when the show started, the sound system crew accidentally used the orig ver lol
i don't understand a fuck what did she do? can anyone explain to me everything?
As far as im concern , she used one of her song which includes the al-Quran version as the background. She used the version during one of her concert. Obviously being a muslim myself, i felt insulted since it is our holy book. Then CL tweeted the other day saying sorry and explained that she didn't know and it was the staff?? Idk much but you may check it yourself on Twitter.there's a thing called if you want to know something then put some effort into it ;)
الله يجعلها للمرض الي ماله شفاء الا بالقران
If you hate or muslims or not that doesnt give u a permission to do this with our religion just care about feeling..we always support u we always listen to k-pop and at the end we get a hurt and in what in our religion..just damn..i really had a bad idea about korean and un korean peoplle who accepeted this even from another religion the thing that u hate happen to u u must hate to happen to others it is just what u had growth with..And just forgive the allah all who had accepeted this and fo this with us..thanks for that cl..
rema abozeid she already apologized! first of all, she didn't even know that the mixed song is quran, second, she's not the one who edit it, third, she already told her engineer to delete it forever .. shes not a bad person as toh thought
Something here: your video showed that the long syllable was the same, nothing else. I don't know Arabic and I can make that sound easily. Please show something a bit more substantial.
