This is a great way to teach vocabulary! I find when people learn English, the last thing they learn is vocabulary, so in theory, they are fluent, but they find themselves searching for words. Great
Thanks so much for the kind words Pat. We think vocabulary is really important too and there's nothing like stories and conversations for making it come to life. :-)
im pretty sure that this is the most wholesome channel in all of youtube. the amount of fun the two of you are having is palpable, and will only make this channel thrive! thanks a lot for helping those that are learning english as a second (or third, or fourth....) language!
MĕŘıȚă ŅA, so many of our viewers have asked if we could be their grandparents, that I'm afraid you'll have to stand in line (or join the queue as they say in British English.). We're very happy you like our channel. Thanks for letting us know.
You two are the sweetest, loveliest, and most wholesome people!! I love this. I also like knowing why Arthur Weasley wears a crown in a Christmas scene that always baffled me.
My boyfriend is British and we’re gonna make Christmas dinner together this year. He mentioned Christmas crackers but it’s not a thing in Korea so I decided to make one for my boyfriend. Your video was so delightful :) thank you !
Well... In Poland we haven't any meat, except fish. If someone would like to eat turkey, other people will be surprised! We've 12 dishes and after Christmas dinner we can open our presents. One of the dishes is pierogi (dumplings) with a coin inside! The person who hits the coin, will be rich the following year. We sing christmas songs, we make wishes. Beautiful tradition...
I wish i was polish, love verry much eating fish!!!! Here in Argentina we eat asado (argentine bbQ) and salads or vittel thone (meat boiled in vegi broth and then cut verry thin with an anchoe tuna and mayonese sauce ) salads like ensalada rusa and then we eat desert and after that at 00:00 o 'clock we eat panetonne with mantecol (a buttery paste made with penuts and other things that it usually melts because it's summer and you can find it all year but we conaume a lot in christmas. You love it or you hate it) and candied nuts, also we eat a lot of candys like bonobon (a chocolate bonbon filled with a nutpaste )
Hi xGrool. This sounds like a wonderful and very filling meal and great evening. We love pirogis and we'd never heard of the coin story before, though we do put coins in a British Christmas pudding. Thanks for sharing.

Really good video. Well, i'm from Greece and we actually don't have anything like christmas cracker but we have something different. We have a cake that has a coin inside and the person who gets the coin will be lucky the rest of the year. We also like singing songs at Christmas, playing cards and we usually organise a celebration with our friends and family to have fun together. I love Christmas here... By the way really good channel. Thank you so much for writing and sharing this Katerina. A Greek Christmas sounds lovely. We have a similar tradition with a coins in a British Christmas Pudding. Perhaps we can make a video about that next year.
