Rosemary is a professional magician from Toronto, Canada. She is an accomplished magician, playing card collector, writer, authority on and advocate of women in magic.
Rosemary has created a line of playing cards with diverse female imagery to change the conversation around the card table. The SISTERHOOD deck is designed to empower and support women in magic with artwork that has NEVER been seen on playing cards before.
Hosts Sid and Dina are joined by Toronto's favourite magician Rosemary Reid,
who is the first female magician to appear on the show.
During the pandemic Rosemary reached out to 561 female magicians around the globe and asked them to participate in a survey. 230 women participated and that data was formulated into statistics by BBC's data analyst Yen Mac. Thanks to Rosemary for the first time ever there is statistical data documenting the experiences of women in magic in 2022.
