My definition of the video: Alex is in a therapy session with all these different “people” which are actually different parts of him (that is the disaster mix-liar, cynic, sinner, saint..) where they all learn to cooperate with each other and he learns how to accept them as a part of himself. The message is that we all have parts of ourselves that we like or dislike, but to function better we have to learn how to communicate and understand each part and accept that that is who we are while learning how to love ourselves, be it by going to therapy or having friends around or simply going through the process alone. The rest of the guys being there might have some kind of meaning (like being there and showing support for Alex) or they could be there because they are a part of the band and it makes no sense to make a music video with just Alex in it.. That’s all folks! *edit: Just so we don't have any misunderstandings- the boys could be there as a support system and they could be an already built-in part of Alex that he goes to for support whenever he is dealing with each part of himself. If you watch when they start doing the dance thing those are the exact moves in the show The OA. Like unmistakably the exact dimension dance at 3:23 the show is based around. So I would not put it past them to reference more pop culture.

I still feel this song. All time low is such an awesome group. Their songs are always both uplifting in their tempo and so self reflective. I love them all. They have helped me so much to see my own faults and to rise above them.
I’ve always known who ATL was but never really got into them til earlier this year. I deep dived every single album and ep and fell in love with them. When this song came out I listened to it before I listened to Last Young Renegade and I felt it was solid but now that I’ve listened to LYR in depth I really appreciate this music video and the lyrics. LYR was about struggling with change and growing up and finding yourself through all the change and this song and the rest of Wake Up Sunshine is about finally finding yourself and being that best version of yourself. This entire album is a perfect way of viewing life, you’re always gonna have to do soul searching, always gonna have to deal with moving on from things in life (whether it’d be people or jobs or etc.), always gonna feel up beat and feel incredible, and always in the end have someone love you, and of course always have life experiences like Basement Noise where you have a dream like these guys did and they didn’t think they’d ever get anywhere with it.
I love how inspirational and motivational your music is. Theres something to be taken away from it especially the ones you write. I loved this band since middle school and still listen to them as an adult. Its been with me for a long time and I appreciate all the work you guys have done.
I LOVE this. What an amazing sounds with a great melody, the classic relatability of ATL, and a new reved up bass and guitar line to bring some awesome punk energy.

My mom passed away a year ago from COPD. She was the fire that lit my life on fire. She inspired me beyond what I could imagine. This song kept ringing in my head recently because I feel it. I still feel this song. All time low is such an awesome group. Their songs are always both uplifting in their tempo and so self reflective. I love them all. They have helped me so much to see my own faults and to rise above them.
I’ve always known who ATL was but never really got into them til earlier this year. I deep dived every single album and ep and fell in love with them. When this song came out I listened to it before I listened to Last Young Renegade and I felt it was solid but now that I’ve listened to LYR in depth I really appreciate this music video and the lyrics. LYR was about struggling with change and growing up and finding yourself through all the change and this song and the rest of Wake Up Sunshine is about finally finding yourself and being that best version of yourself. This entire album is a perfect way of viewing life, you’re always gonna have to do soul searching, always gonna have to deal with moving on from things in life (whether it’d be people or jobs or etc.), always gonna feel up beat and feel incredible, and always in the end have someone love you, and of course always have life experiences like Basement Noise where you have a dream like these guys did and they didn’t think they’d ever get anywhere with it.
