The Eminem Show is my favorite Eminem album and THIS version of Em is my favorite version of Em. A slow flow jam packed him intricate internals and externals, THAT ICONIC EMINEM CADENCE and some of the greatest storytelling and messages of all time. No complex doubles or triples. No crazy punchlines or bars. Just cadence, flows, rhyme schemes and storytelling.

The transition from this to Headlights and the transition from the Kim songs to 'Bad Husband' shows real growth in his character, and takes us on a real raw emotional ride. What an artist to be able to showcase the private side of him so well.

That's one of those things I love about Eminem. He's not afraid to talk about personal and vulnerable things. He also makes them clear in the story. There is so much rap that's about bitch**, dope rides and $$$ but he goes so far beyond that. I'm a casual fan so I didn't know some of that info from his personal life. I appreciated you filling me in as it makes the lyrics more understandable.

Weirdly enough, if it wasn't for Em, no one would be able to enter hip hop period. He gave us a way to belong even with the history of where hip hop came from. Genre's of all kinds had many hands touch music, this was one of those moments and now many are within the genre and we should never forget where it came from or forget music is for all at the end of the day. Eventually a genre will go towards all kinds of people. Can't gatekeep all the time. Times will change

I was a senior in high school with TES dropped. It was a huge splash in my school. People were burning the CD and passing it around the school and just diving into the rage and beauty and uplifting songs that Em transcribed. I remember this song so vividly cause we actually discussed it in my Writing and Literature class. It was my first time understand what Münchausen syndrome was all about. I understand why he will no longer play this song as it has some raw emotions and how his mother would soon later become stricken with addiction and to her own devices. But, to me, it was a strong ‘FU’ as a growing teen towards others and let me know that I wasn’t alone. Great breakdown dude.

I have so much more of an appreciation for Eminem now with your videos. He was always in my top 5 of all time but after realizing what he does with his rhyme schemes, his flows and how just like tech n9ne he rides the beat and the beat will dictate how he flows is awesome and takes a GOAT level rapper to pull off. He’s always been my favourite rapper but recently his newer music has stained his career and I’ll always appreciate everything he’s done but he’s made some bad decisions musically

It's not the same context. But I feel the same about my dad. He's an evil person. And he will NEVER meet my kids. He's never seen them and they won't be at his funeral.
