  • Chupi is located at Purbasthali block of East Burdwan district of West Bengal. A large number of migratory birds from different countries gather at this place in the winter season i.e. from the month from November to February. A large waterbody has been created by the river Bhagirathi. Different kinds of migratory birds like Red crested pochards, Cotton pigmy goose, Common teal, Common kingfisher, white throated kingfisher, Pied kingfisher, Bronze winked jakana, Black headed ibis, Glossy ibis, Purple Swamphen, Red wattled lapwing, Grey headed lapwing, Purple Heron ,Grey Heron etc are seen here. Visitors can watch the birds by boat.
