    The Wraith quickly adapt to the Asgard transporter and use jamming fields to interdict them. McKay later realizes that the reason they adapted so quickly is because the Vanir (a less moral offshoot of the Asgard) used the same trick with them, so the solution was already in place

It's OP as hell, a god-tier ship that could easily wipe put a fleet of Hatak ships by the end of the series, yet it's all earned, built up slowly over 10 series, all the technology it has and uses, all the alterations and improvements on previous designs. Easily the Daedelus class is the best ship in all of sci-fi.

      @@ICU1337 you say that, but technically, Daedalus class ships are essentially the human version of Asgard ships at this point. But with other tech they gathered plus earth tech. It would go to to toe with an O’neill class ship. The only real difference being the size and maybe what it’s made out of. Which they could technically replicate because the Asgard left them literally everything. That’s not hyperbole. They left them all their knowledge

    • @ICU1337
      @ICU1337 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@yoboyrob201 the Asgards had all of the knowledge of the Ancients. They still didnt even scratch the surface of Ancient technology though.
      For a more relatable example. I could give you a nuke, the instructions and manuals and knowledge to make a nuke, and you still wouldnt be able to make a nuke if say, you were a caveman.
      I feel like Star Trek/Wars use so much plot armor in their space fights that its impossible to say. ST makes "science and exploratory" ships yet there they are whooping the Borgs, Klingons, Romulans, and Dominions ass 🤷🏽‍♂️ SW how the Empire loses fights with their ISD I and II's is beyond me. Big ole ISD gets taken out by accidental kamikaze 🤷🏽‍♂️
      But while I dont think they're THE most powerful spaceship in all of SciFi, I certainly do agree they make it into that top 10 list discussion and at the very least, if not, an honorable mention!

    Star Trek is actually referenced a lot within Stargate lore. The Asgard transporters they call "Beaming", in the first episode of SG1 one of the soldiers who goes back to Abydos salutes Daniel with a Vulcan salute, Jack wanted the Prometheus to be called the Enterprise, and when accidentally sent to the past and Jack was being interrogated he said he was "Captain James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise." So you may not be off, they actually could have a copy of the series onboard XD
    There's also a Star Wars reference that cracks me up. Jack and Teal'c visits Carter, and Teal'c (wearing a cowboy outfit XD!) with a happy smile confirms that he'd watched the movies 9 times and really likes them. Sam then asks Jack if he never watched Star Wars, and he just shrugs and says "Well you know me and scifi".

      Daedalos class would use their plasma beam weapons, which are superheatet plasma formed in narrow beam, designed for overloading even the most durable shields and then imediattely burn through hull. And thats their basic state. If ZPM is conected to the ship systems, all its energy output is litterarly tremendously multiplied. ZPM is energy source and is the most powerfull energy source known to exist there. It can be used for opening intergalactic wormhole. So the power output is absolutelly immense.

      In a hypothetical Milky-Way vs Milky Way fight, at first, yes. But the Federation is very adaptable, and far from beyond stealing tech in times of war. They also have 1/4 of the galaxy's resources at hand, and a much larger, educated, technologically advance population from which to not only pool resources, but to innovate solutions.
      The SGU is barley branching out beyond earth, most humans exist in pre-tech civilizations, and they are still recovering from several galaxy wide events that ended in the destruction of, and/or limiting of off world allies and resources from which to draw.
      While your ten selected ships could launch a devastating attack on one or two locations, the Federation's weaker, but vastly larger number of ships could attack a hundred(or more) targets at once, only coming to together for select raids, and splitting up as soon as the mission failed.
      There is no way your 10 ships could keep up with, or hunt down the thousands of Federation ships. They would be relegated to protecting maybe 3 key systems, and some limited supply convoys.
      As soon as the Federation figured out the tech used, and adapted it to their own ships, and built new ships with that tech at the core, the SGU would be toast.
