That’s the thing I hate about asian parents, I’m not saying that other race parents aren’t like this either but I can guarantee you that over 3/4 of asian parents are like this. They say what they’re doing is best for their child when in reality they’re just doing what’s best for them. Asian children grow up being taught that they can’t raise their voice to their parents since they provide food and a home for them, resulting in the child not being able to share how they truly feel until they explode. It’s also so sad to see and hear that a person doesn’t have control in their own life and that they feel scared to express their feelings.

We are so on wrong track when we take the emotional abuse and Gaslighting part as normal or realise about its true nature after a good old decade is past and we're full with our injury and trauma.
