Just pure rage and aggression turned into music. Whether you consider The Haunted thrash or melodeath, they are one of the most violent sounding bands in history.
@@theleftherian6031 A Thrashy feel this track may have, but Death Metal was born out of Thrash (and first wave Black Metal), so it is only natural that certain bands with a tinge of old-school influence will sometimes be confused for a Thrash act for using that classic Thrash/Punk style beat. It is unfortunate that Peter's insane vocal performance on this album more or less doomed it to only be able to happen on this album. In terms of brutal yet completely intelligible vocal performance I view this as on par with Phil Anselmo on Vulgar Display of Power head and shoulders above everything else in the genre.

With Death Metal being rooted in Thrash originally, that connection has you SEVERELY confused, but make no mistake, this is DM through and through, and you don't need cookie monster growls to qualify.

I saw the Haunted support Naplam Death in Glasgow about 1999 and this song wiped the floor with everyone. Absolutely awesome. Still holds up
