A cheap idea for Christmas presents. I have three brothers in law that all like cast iron. I searched for the BSR 8 wedge corn bread pan. I could find them uncleaned for $20ish. I restored them and includer the history of the pan in the package. This made them considerably more valuable yet I spent $20ish. We all know Christmas isn't a competition but we won! lol They were appreciative and you can't find one just anywhere. Smooth cast iron makes great gifts. It doesn't need to be extremely old just smooth. One of the estate sale guys that I restore for has a son that needed a gift for his girlfriend's mother. Jeff handed him an early 3 notch Lodge that I had restored. At first he didn't think so being in his early 20s but he gave it to her. She loved it but you can't get one at Walmart. You almost have to be connected with someone.
God to see a new video from you and I just this past weekend made my first cornbread in my Wagner juniors doing the double method I got from your channel, they came out great thank you so much for helping us learn new things about cast iron and sharing the Word
My favorite is the E Bread Stick Wagner Ware cast iron. It does not have the image of the corn stick imprint, but is just plain bottom of the cast iron.
Hello Steven.. I have been subscribed for about 2 years or so ( don't quote me on the actual 2 years ,,but close )I like every video you put out ,BUT. I have one problem with your videos that is there AIN'T ENOUGH of them... Thank you Frank from montana...
Because of your videos I learned what a BSR Red Mountain series corn bread pan is and I ran across one on eBay for not very much money (8 bucks) so I bought it it is 7C with the D thank you for the valuable information
I have a 6 stick pan with the standard BSR handles. The sticks look like (pg version) one scoop ice cream cones with sprinkles on top. They alternate left right. No need to level. There are no markings on it. The iron is good smooth quality. I’m reasonably sure it has to be BSR. Spotted D might be a good way to describe it.
Lodge made a California Acorn pan that is highly collectible and also highly controversial because of the shape. I've seen them sale from $300 to $500 each.
@@highball818 You will see some other similarities with Lodge because they now own most of the old BSR patents due to the settlement with Lodge when BSR when out of business.
What a great collection, I hope you can help me identify the I have? It is 6" wide and 13" long outside the handles. It has an "made in the usa and a V " stamped on the bottom thank you God bless
Thank you for all your info on cast iron. I just found a 7 stick corn bread pan with the BSR handles and 27S 26 on the bottom of the center stick. Also one of the end sticks has a thinner wall on the tip then the other end has. It's in very good shape. Is this truly a BSR? Any info on this pan would be appreciated.... Thank you for your time and your words from God.
I have two corn stick pans they have the M handle and seven alternating molds. Looks identical to the BSR, but they don’t have any markings on them. Any ideas what I have?
I'm curious about how do you go about seasoning those pans. With all the little nooks, what do you do to prevent too much oil from accumulating? I have a Lodge Grill skillet and find it a pain to get the seasoning.? God Bless.
Thank you for this info. Just purchased a cornstick pan and was wondering how to Season it. God Bless you for sharing the Word with us at the end of your videos
The 7S is the most common corn stick Pan in the Birmingham stove and range lineup. The 7 is to designate the amount of sticks in the peace and the S is probably just a mold mark. It can quite possibly stand for 7 Stick.
My collection is pretty much marked for my children to inherit. I have set a booth at the Emporium South in Boaz Al. I will post pictures on our Cast Iron Cookware Trader Group on Facebook for inquiries. Here is a link the the group. facebook.com/groups/779831619269933/

So, Lodge got rights to BSR designs…then we have these options… 1. BSR designed and produced the pan 2. BSR designed and never produced the pan 3. Lodge produced a BSR pan 4. Lodge designed a pan and used BSR handles
Steve, I have a question, on many of your videos you refer to “hand scribed”. Do they hand scribe the original pattern? Or the cast piece itself? It cannot be the sand mold is hand scribed, that would make the final casting have raised letters, thanks for any info you can share. Yours truly, cast iron collector competition

Love that you read scripture as you supply us with such good information. Thank you.

Very nice collection, Stephen! Thanks for sharing this with us, my friend!
I gave you a like because of the scripture. My Pastor has been preaching on that exact scripture for a couple weeks!

Thank you. I am working toward freeing up the time to make more.
Just wanted to say I love that you end your videos with a scripture verse.
Just picked up a 7A last week at my local thriftshop - great quality for modest $$
That's amazing work from companies. I am interested in all these. Would a good starter pot be a Lodge 3.2qt with lid
You can start pretty much anywhere. It's a collector's prerogative. Lol
I've been looking for an L sized Red Mountain corn stick pan, but haven't been lucky enough to find one yet. Nice score!
I have been looking for a second one for quite a while washout success. I hope that you have better luck a find one soon.
Congrats on the set completion!
God bless you sir. Love your informative videos!!
Very nice set, I cant wait to get my hands on one of these. Will be interesting to restore as well.
They are a real headache to restore but so worth it.

I didn’t know any other makers used a BSR type handle. I could see it if they copied the entire pan. Do you know of others?

Very good info. I have a corn stick pan, 7stick. It has a E on bottom of flange. What does that mean?
What a great collection, I hope you can help me identify the I have? It is 6" wide and 13" long outside the handles. It has an "made in the usa and a V " stamped on the bottom thank you

You are welcome to send pictures to my email and I will do my best to help identify it. lovemyci@charter.net
Great collection Stephen! 👍🏻
I just recently got my first cornbread skillet which turned out to be an unmarked Wagner. 😉🇨🇦😁
Thank you for all your info on cast iron.

I've seen quite a few without any any markings on the bottom. They may still be BSR.
Today I picked up one that looks just like your 7A, but doesn't have any markings... Any ideas what that one could be?
Thank You, God Bless You🙏🏻
How to clean the groves in the cornbread pan?
I found a 7 stick cornbread cast iron one and it has E 1 on it. What brand is it and how old?
Hard to say without pictures. You're welcome send pictures to my email. lovemyci@charter.net
I did not know they made that really small cornstick pan. I guess I have another one to look for.
Kind of recent knowledge to me as well.
Thank you!

Press paper towel and/or use one of those cloth towels in your house you’re gonna throw away soon. It’ll get into the holes and get the oil out.
Very interesting
Hey i just found one but the bread shape is in a 🌵 cactus??? How do i get it clean..its completely rusty...i may sell it
I'm not an expert. But alot of collectors like to clean them themselves. Saves you the headache.
Anyone Tel me what 7. . S corn stick pan is? I'm new and dumb.

How to clean the small holes?
Lye tank will get it done. I’ve used a dental pick or a good stiff brush
You didn't have the 7B mini corn stick pan red mountain
I have a cornstick pan with 9 spaces. All in same direction and nipples on the bottom. No markings.
My understanding is that's a Lodge piece.
@@castironchaos thank you. Very much
Just got one and the only marks are 1. H

Do you know if a Birmingham corn stick pan has 3 indentation on the bottom of the handle
I've not seen that on BSR.
