I think the bird is named dromeosaur but the actual bird is microraptor because there will be more dromeosaur variations and microraptor is one of dromeosaur types

Misspelling mistake, it's not a bird that's called a dromaesaur, there's a dinosaur called a dromaesaur but not a bird

I kinda don't like that it's called dromaeosaur, because it's literally different dinosaur. It was confusing. After the update I thought it's not microraptor, but dromaeosaur, because of the name. But then I looked at the game page and noticed "Microraptor" in the brackets.
Although I think, ShinyGriffin might have done that, because deinonychus will be added as skin, instead standalone "bird". So You pay 3000 and got both. I'm not sure if that's the case, but why else would she made Dromaeosaur (Microraptor), instead of just Microraptor?

Maybe it means Shinygriffin gonna add a another skin for the raptor

@@DroneorTheriAnimates The thing is, it says "dromaeosaur" as the group of dinosaurs microraptor is from. So instead of skin, it'd be most likely a last dinosaur, which is also a dromaeosaurid - deinonychus. I can't think of any other logic than that. If she called microraptor "dromaeosaur" and she is going to add second dromaeosaurid, then that's the most logical thing. It would be weird if deinonychus had separate "bird", while being dromaeosaurid as well.

If it is the case I hope it isn't only ever 2 variants of dromeosaurs because Shiny is starting to add dinosaurs into the game so hopefully in the future summer fossils we can see more dromeosaur species into the game

@@ZanTheGold 99% sure there won't be any more non-bird dinosaurs in the game. At least they are not planned. Microraptor was added, because of popular demand and deinonychus will be added, because of importance and significance of the discovery, linking dinosaurs to birds.
Also don't get Your hopes up. ShinyGriffin was considering *not* doing summer of fossils this year. She said though, that if she is going to do it, she considers adding microraptor and deinonychus. That's why I knew that they will be added, before the event was even announced. Most likely, she won't do more summer of fossils or if she does, it would be much rarer and/or smaller. Like, just look what we've got this year? In the past we were getting some cool birds like jeholornis, archeopteryx, pelagornis or hesperornis for example. Now we got some kauai oo, which is hardly an interesting bird (just a dead species and that's all). Elephant bird might have the biggest egg, but that's not much difference than moa. Sapeornis is quite unique, though. And auk was nice too. But if not for the dinos, the event probably wouldn't be made.
Also no dinosaur outside dromaeosaurids family will be added for sure. Unless she changes her mind. But other than microraptor and deinonychus, we could get velociraptor or droameosaur, which wouldn't be that much different than what we are already getting with deinonychus, that's why it would be redundant. If it was game about dinosaurs, they yeah, that would make sense, but dinos are bonus more than anything. She only added them, because of how close they are to birds and how important deinonychus was as a discovery.

Heres my theory of what the next fossil bird be:In the video the professor says something about a Sickle Claw and i was curious so i looked it up and i found out the next bird could be Falcatakely which is a Cretaceous Bird with Sickle Like Claws so ye thats my theory
