but seriously tho, you could knock him into a huge lava pool in the nether, if he didn't have blocks, that'd slow him down quite a bit. early obby trap with water and lava buckets maybe? like build an obby prison, trap him to fall into it, button it up so he can't quickly build out, then lava bucket and water the top completing the obby prison? if you set it up early enough, best pick he could have would be iron, which is only 40 seconds, but that's still something.
actually? I bet an ender pearl stasis chamber would be INSANE in this challenge. only problem is getting soul sand for the bubble column. if there was a waterless design you could use before the nether or in the nether that'd be insane though
Another part of the rules of the original prompt is that the snail always knows where you are. Perhaps the speedrunner should have infinite glowing as well? I know it wasn’t too much of a problem in the video but maybe just a small thing to make it a bit easier for the snail to find their target?

I really like this, I think the absence of overbearing music telling me how to feel was a nice change. Plus, felt less like a buncha tryhards doing a challenge for views and more like a couple friends trying a fun challenge.
Eh music is nice to give context like “hey, here’s what to expect.” hence why movies have it. No music works fine here tho but if there was music it wouldn’t detract
This is honestly one of the funniest MC videos I've seen in a while. I absolutely love the more chill, laid back energy and editing style. It really feels like two friends just goofing around rather than a video engineered for views.
This is also a very creative spin on the whole manhunt gimmick, I was surprised at how TERRIFYING the snail ended up being.
Kudos to you, you managed to bring a unique spin to a very over-done genre :D

People seem to forget that the Immortal Snail deal also makes the victim immortal, you should redo this challenge but the Speedrunner has max resistance and health regeneration. How much would the dynamic between Hunter and Runner change?
maybe not max resist so the snail can still kill the speedrunner in one hit
there's also the thing about both the snail and you having a million dollars so maybe the player and the snail can have an inventory of emeralds/gold/ a mix of both

lmao I thought the no music was a stylistic choice then I realised how tiny of a channel it was.

(btw the bastion trick only works if entity culling is off and the entity distance of both you and the server is high enough, you could see how you only had like 50 total entities loaded on the E count)

@@Zethrona forgot to mention it in the rules but we ended up having a gentlemans agreement for the snail to only jump to go on blocks.

This makes me wonder how much could change with different potion effects.
Like if the Runner has Speed 2, but the Hunter still has 255 Strength and Resistance does it change anything?
What if the Runner has permanent Resistance, so the "Hunter" has to gear up with a few minutes head start to stop them from killing the Ender Dragon?
It'd be cool if he actually a small little snail instead of a camouflage skin lol

In the future you should use the /attribute command to change the size, reach, and base speed of the snail (and maybe give them some knockback resistance) I do believe that changing the scale doesn’t change jump height but I might be wrong so you might need to change that too
