In this storyline, Thorne takes "klcking someone while they're down" to a whole new level. If this scene is bad, it's nothing compared to when he corners drunk Macy with divorce papers _in front of Brooke at Brooke's house,_ the day after she's had a death in the family.
Line of the episode was definitely from Ridge: “God, how *stupid* could I be?” I can’t be the only one who cackled out loud and thought, “do you really want us to answer that?” Taylor, girl, I love you but you really should have turned in your psychiatrist’s license after this. She sounded so dumb, it was cringeworthy to watch. Stephanie, as per usual, puts all these fools into the shade.
I also cackled at that line. 😂 This is the first Steph has heard of this crazy story and already she is totally spot on. It must be really difficult for Steph to be the smartest person in the room, every time.
Taylor was just desperate to have a female friend besides Stephanie and that's why I think that she refused to see Morgan for who she was. What I never understood is why the writers never had Macy and Taylor become friends because after all they were sister-in-laws.
Even though I was never a big Macy fan, she doesn't deserve this. Her and Taylor always deserved better than the Forrester brothers! But Thorne's karma will come and I can't wait!
Yes, he spends the rest of his life chasing Ridge's discarded women when he could have had one completely devoted to him. Macy never dated, wanted or got involved with Ridge, unlike Brooke and Taylor.

(And Thorne replies that "Becky is stable", but how would he know? Macy, not Thorne, is the one who just came from visiting Becky in the hospital.)
Excellent point, and Bobbie Eakes did this subtle tone change, almost a softening, of her voice. It was very poignant. A sad connection between Becky and her as well, since soon both will be off the canvas.
@@FayeIL yes! I think Bobbie Eakes did a great job in these episodes, especially the way she keeps subtly modulating her tone of voice and facial expressions. Her acting is really what carries this whole storyline.
Shouldn't Thorne at least wait until a moment when Macy isn't _drunk_ before asking her for a divorce? And maybe make sure that someone is there with her, like her AA counselor? Is she even able to process what he's saying in her current condition? Will she remember it in the morning? On a side note, I didn't realize until watching this storyline again just how sudden Thorne's asking for a divorce really was, from Macy's perspective. Yes, the signs were all there, but Thorne has kept gaslighting Macy and talking about her "insecurities" as if there was no reason for her to feel insecure, while he keeps sharing a home _and a bed_ with her. And now he basically goes "just kidding, I have been wanting to leave you all along."
Macy being slapped in the face so many times, she is really strong character. And I can' wait for that loser to hear that Brooke still loves Ridge and for Brooke to lay in the mud in front of Big Bear house😂.
Thorne doesn't know she's drunk here since she conveniently forgot to tell him where she was and what she was doing prior to this interaction. And just like the hospital scene a few episodes back where she smuggles vodka in her purse, she has also been lying (by omission) to her husband about the extent of her drinking. And while criticism of Thorne is well deserved, this is deeply troubling behaviour coming from Macy IMO.
@@tropposteve4878 he is well aware of it because _Brooke_ called him and told him exactly where Macy was and what she was doing prior to this interaction. I can understand why she was clinging onto the marriage. It's called the Sunk Cost Fallacy. They had been together for many years, overcoming every setback and obstacle that got in their way. Macy wasn't going to go down without a fight this time. Problem is, the relationship was never that healthy to begin with. How many times did Thorne walk out on her over some perceived misunderstanding? They had been married three times by this point, and between each of those weddings it had been an uphill battle to get there. I blame Thorne mostly for it, but some of it was Macy not wanting to divest from a toxic relationship (and her mother who kept pushing her to pursue a relationship with a Forrester man if you remember). I'm glad she finally woke up to herself and got away from him.
There's another aspect too. Macy is in her mid 30s. Her biological clock has started ticking really loud. She wants a family and she doesn't actually have a lot of time to find someone and start over.
I think it's the lighting in the scene that makes the colors look strange. It makes no sense that she would be having blue contacts in this scene, but I thought it looked that way too.
