Abegi! Many of us were subjected to the same (and even worse) in boarding schools in that same country. And this was over 25 years ago!. People acting like this surprises them are hypocrites.

Some of the retired Police Chiefs in Nigeria are among the richest group of individuals. We are not serious in Nigeria. When Nigerians are serious, the world will know. We are still busy attacking each other over who started the civil war and who committed genocide. Yet on a daily basis, the country continues to slide into perdition. The people who brought this rot (from all ethnic groups) continue to walk the streets. Taking chieftaincy titles everywhere. Nigeria - the modern day hell.

what is great about Nigeria? A great nation will never treat his citizens like this. I would only employ these guys to demand for their money from people on the street with a bit of respect and gentlemanliness. We should all be giving them money each time we see them. I am really sympathetic with them.

Thank you! Why the surprise? It's not like public boarding schools are that much better

Some sane countries will feed that one fish (without the head) to one pupil for publicly funded school meal. Parents were invite to taste school meal in my kids school so we have an idea what they’re fed. Choice of juice, yogurt or small can of milk on top oh. Now, be sure the education commissioner does not boast of more money in the bank than me.

Right from when they start their training to when they become “officer”, this is their reality. You wonder why take money from drivers on the road or arrest a “rich person” on some stupid charges just to extort money from them.

haha. forgive my laughter. guys my only surprise here is that some Nigerians act surprise seeing this on media. If you had been to the NYSC at least you would have had your own fare share of this humiliation and shame i call MADE IN NIGERIA.
SO I SAY STOP PRETENDING, either BEAT it or keep living IT.

My NYSC food was bad but this is badder bad (excuse my good English) but you have a point. I only drank coloured water and tasteless Maiduguri flies infested bread for breakfast because the camp commercial restaurants were not opened early. I bought my lunch and dinner for 3 weeks of the camp. I had some money having done internship before service. Many corpers did not have my options.
