Im from India and i have the same RCD330G unit in my VW. But when i activate mirrorlink after connecting my phone to the unit using the cable, only apps like Sygic and Rockscout show up in the menu. My phone is the Samsung S6 Edge +. How does your interface show google maps? Thanks
I use a Sony Xperia 3 compact. Google maps comes with the mirror link immediately after connecting. Navigation Sygic I installed later , but the navigation program is I did not like. I have radio version 6RD 035 187. What do you have?
Not sure of the radio version, im not near my car right now, but do you think that you see Gmaps because its a sony phone? Have you tried mirrorlink with any other phone and have been able to get google maps on the rcd330?
I have not tried other phones, so as not to have them. Version important as 6RD Google maps off as soon as you start the movement , in the version 6RF there is a channel in the adaptation unit 56 which removes this restriction. You can run just Googl in mirroring mode with screen RCD or phone if an application shortcut does not appear on the RCD

You seem to get icons that ive never seen when i start mirror link. So either its your phone or some different version of firmware in the RCS unit due to which you get Google maps. Ive seen another video where a guy using a sony xperia can mirror his phone screen completely.. Sadly its not working for me :(

Hello everyone! I've tried with samsung phone but not working. Samsung has an app called Car Mode that only appear through Sygic or RockScout and it can't mirror apps that not allowed in CCC/Mirrorlink consortium. I'm thinking in change my cell phone for another android it looks that only Sony models are allowed to get full mirroring. I've been a long time surfing on the internet looking for an update for my HeadUnit but it not exits. It will be gorgeous if RCD-330G can be manage CarPlay/Android Auto with just updating his software and maybe an extra wifi chipset or antena.
I have the same RCD330G unit, but when i hit the mirrorlink option it says " Device not compatible" even though i have it via USB cable, I've been looking over the internet for some answers but i can't find anything related to it , I own an iphone 6 and i cant seem to enable it to use mirrorlink anyone would know how to fix this issue?

the movement works in this program only, any others are disabled , including Google maps.

If your RCD 330 has the settings not only English and Chinese language it 6RF. You're in luck))

full support mirroring have only HTC and SONY. support carplay may not be at 330G. the update files I have not found anywhere else
