It's a combination of things.
Echo's, or also known as bonus damage, add smaller hits to basic attacks.
This is gotten from the Opus weapon, you can use an item called a "Chain of Falsehood." This replaces the 3rd skill of the Opus. This gives a permanent 20% echo to all basic attacks.
It doesn't stack with other weapons, but can stack with character's skills.

On top of echoes, MC also uses the class skill 'Roll of the Dice' of Bandit Tycoon that grants 3-hit flurry for one turn.
And that one splits each of MC's normal hits into 3. So instead of a triple attack it's basically a 9time attack. The base damage for the normal attack is identical, but any echo & supplemental bonus gets added to each of the 9 hits. Hence why it hits stronger despite the same base damage.

And that's when you do max drop rate, +200% drop rate, like the showcase shown here
