Thank for sharing..... I grew up in a small town as well so I know how hard it is. I think moving out is a great idea.. After moving out on my own and letting them know ...."I am who I am".....accept it...With alot of families they hope if they try hard enough they can change you. Once they realize that they can't ..... They have to make the decision whether they want you in their life or not. Usually some or most will come around....but with mine it took a couple of years........the ones that dont, they are proably the people that you don't need around you any way. But now they accept me ...love me..support me and now my partner of 16 years is just like a member of the family.....we have 2 kids.....so don't give up!!! Things really can and will get better!!!

I got engaged to a woman at 20 and married at 23. She's a wonderful person in many ways but she's not perfect. My parents didn't really like her and there was a lot of tension between them and her. Eventually it became clear to me that I had to make a choice to either support my wife or not. I chose to support her and I basically told my parents I didn't need them or their approval. Well...it took a little time but before too long my parents' attitude totally changed. Ever since then I've felt totally in control of my own life and my relationship with my parents. I don't need their approval or acceptance for anything and I'm certainly never going to ask for it.
I'm a parent now myself and I can tell you, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, more painful that I could suffer than the loss of any of my kids. If they were to cut me out of their lives I would survive but I would be completely devastated, for life.
The reason I'm telling you all this is to give you context for some advice I'd like to share. Don't think of leaving your parents house as them rejecting you, think of it as you rejecting them. Their responsibility is to be loving and supportive. If you were born without an arm or with an extra toe, would they still love you? Take the moral high ground and tell them you can't support them and you are cutting them out of your life because they have failed you. Yes, they will be shocked and angry that you've turned the tables on them, but because your words are true, they will be tormented by them. In that way, they will have the opportunity to understand the pain of being rejected by someone they dearly love. There's no guarantee that they'll reconsider their attitude, and even if they do it will take time, but I have hope that some day they'll reach out to you and apologize. And as part of that, they'll accept you and set an example for your siblings (who you should reject also, to their faces, for the same reasons.) Tell them all that you put your honest love and trust in them and they failed you. Taking the moral high ground might not change anything but I think it has a much greater chance of (eventually) working, especially when compared to spending years *asking* for their approval.
Not everyone could reject their parents and family as I'm suggesting but your video impressively shows what a strong and capable guy you are. You obviously have the ability to stand on your own two feet and look ahead to your life and not backward at people who betrayed your honest and sincere love for them.
Sorry for the long comment but your situation really deserves it.

Wow, young people with intolerant families and friends really need to know how bad it can get. You're helping them to understand that.
They also need to know that it can get better; you've told them that. Good luck.

I pray and hope things have gotten better for this young man since this video. SMH it’s so sad ppl ridicule, put down, as well as disown‼️ Who picks that lifestyle just because? That’s a hard life to live like any life but a gay life is worse. Ppl disown their kids really because they worry about what ppl say and think‼️ Love your children NO MATTER WHAT‼️ I’d rather love my child, have a conversation with them to make sure it’s what they want, also let them know I’ll always be a safe place for them as well as their home‼️ I will make sure they know that they will always be able to come to me, come home, and have my support‼️ Ppl who disown their kids for being gay, put their kids in a bad situation where they’ll do what they have to do to survive. Basically ppl give their children to the streets and that’s sad, sick and crazy‼️ If something happens to that child because parents disown their kids, and throw them to the streets…..you will never forgive yourself‼️‼️ Be there for your kids, always try your best to listen to your kids, as well as let them know they can always come to you no matter what‼️ However it’s funny because families will protect ppl, a relative for rubbing, killing, dealing and doing drugs as well as raping someone‼️ No sin is greater than the other and we all yes WE ALL SIN EVERYDAY even with our thoughts‼️ I hope this young man is doing well, safe, and in a great space: physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally ‼️‼️‼️❤️❤️❤️ Keep your head up KING 👑

Im so sorry you must endure this. You cant live like that though. If you lose them, then so be it. We are here for you. You have our full support. Please be safe and continue to update us. We don't ask for the families that we get and we don't have to stick around in a hostile environment either.
