Georgy is lucky to find a normal job in a solid state. And worked persistently until his success, without high school. While there are educated people for whom no one cares and who worked hard just to get a diploma, without any support in life, educated and do not have a normal job. This whole world is a crisis, instead of giving people a chance for a normal job, and even if they are not successful like Georgy, people destroy their lives for money.

I wonder how much it helped him working persistently without highschool. I mean, he worked at a sports and fishing shop, then he worked at an illegal gambling room, and then he ended straight to jail.
Doesn't meant that all the struggle he did for money was nothing without highschool and he realised that the highschool is the only way to give him the chance to be a successfull tire shop manager?

In the time period of 1980 Sheldon might have been right you could drop out of high school at 16 w/o any legal consequences but not anymore
That loophole has been closed for decades the parents are legally responsible for everything about you until you are of legal age and that is 18, soon to be 21 if the current trends continue
the only time when they are not responsible for you is if you are legally emancipated
and Georgie had not been emancipated as of yet any income that he earns is legally the property of his parents
Any schooling that he doesn't complete is a penalty suffered by his parents

True, but rare. It's all about timing. I know a guy, a pre baby boomer, who is illiterate, and a master plumber. As a boomer, dropping out could be a death sentence. With literally millions of us seeking employment, in many cases dropouts weren't at the bottom rung of the ladder, they weren't even ON it. Couldn't even join the military, they only took high school grads. And it had nothing to do with education. If one couldn't hack 4 years of high school, how could one hack 4 years of the military?

To be honest im with georgies parents in this one. He was very lucky to lwn q bug successful business later in life however dropping out of school does not exactly go well in your favor. Georgie wanted to work but felt like achool wasnt important just shows how ignorant he reallg is. Then he gets a womam pregnant later it was just constant bad decision after another he maybe amart in worjing but not amart at life. When u try to look for work in the real world sadly no matter how good u are at something companies always look for a team player and when they see u are a drop out they assume u never finish what u started. Its the same thing as quitting one job after another too. I have a high school diploma and made straight A but i wind up working reatsurants and such now im a caregiver foe the elderly but im happy.

Meemaw and Dale do have a point. A piece of paper with the words “Congratulations, you have graduated” will not help you become successful. No one wants to be a doctor, a scientist, a lawyer or a scholar. There are some famous people who are uneducated had become so successful. There are jobs that don’t require an high school diploma or college degree like construction work, business owners, store owners, restaurant owners even farmers. Some of those people had became so successful more than educated people. Please understand Georgie is a teenager and teenagers hate being told what to do more than anything.
