PLEASE help me I am unable to select a display adapter it’s just shaded out and the game will not let me run it on my simple nvidia graphics card any one know what to do
It's to do with having cloned display. My Gaming PC is outputting to a Gsync monitor set to 120hz over Displayport, and then that display is cloned to the HDMI cable going to the Elgato capture card (which then goes to my streaming PC). You cannot have G-Sync when one of the displays is over HDMI, because it isn't supported over HDMI, because of the nature of the way it works. G Sync changes your monitor's refresh rate to match whatever your GPU can put out, but the Elgato doesn't support G Sync, so it doesn't work. So I run the game at a steady 60fps or 120fps, there's no problem, my main monitor will display every frame on time, at 120fps, my capture card will capture every other frame at 60fps, and it will look smooth. If the game runs at anything other than that (so a slight drop or rise above it), there will be tearing because the frames aren't being delivered at the right time to the display to match the refresh. V-Sync will force the game to only put out frames for the timing for 60fps (or 120fps) but obviously that means occasionally the game will be waiting for the next refresh cycle to update the frame, rather than doing it as soon as it's ready. Thankfully at 60fps that's only 16.67 milliseconds at most, because that's the gap between the frame refreshes, that means the most input lag it can create is 16.67 milliseconds. Since people struggle to notice anything below 100ms, it's not really a problem, unless you're playing something like counterstrike with a mouse at 240fps, but then none of this would be an issue anyway. IF you're running at 120hz (like my monitor is), that's like 8.34ms, which is unnoticable. TL:DR - The only way to avoid tearing with a two PC streaming set up is V-Sync, and while it would be maybe introducing noticable input lag at 30fps, at 60/120fps it's not really an issue.
Hmmm. A game backed by windows doesn’t run well on pc so far. Lol. Well let’s hope they fix this soon because that’s a rough start. I can’t even boot the game up. It’s saying like file c application not found or something. I tried restarting my pc no fix. I was playing it earlier on pc fine. So I’m reinstalling the game and hopefully that fixes it
Except I clone my display for my capture card for my stream, which runs on my streaming PC. The capture card doesn't have gsync (I'm not sure how it could work for two displays anyway) so getting a steady 60fps for that and the recording is much more of a priority
I have quite a good pc and I run the game with all textures, shadows and everything on low, but still have goddamn 20-30 fps which I will never understand
I've found (at least on my system) the graphical options make such a small difference to framerate, the only real choice is whether you want dynamic resolution and a steady framerate, or a set resolution and an inconsistent framerate. I think they have a lot of work to do on optimisation.
I'm curious why we cannot go to normal fullscreen, or why it is recommended, and thus they took away the option. That and the resolution scale. Some games have a resolution scale on top of just setting a base resolution.
It does have a resolution scale Its a dx12 only game and dx12 games have no performance differences between fullscreen and borderless fullscreen They confirmed it in a recent blog
@@o.m9434 I understand it has a resolution scale, I just mean, why is that the only option opposed to having the option to pick a base resolution and scale down percentage-wise from there. I'm not used to having the two parallel and not being controlled independently. I'll look at the blog post, just because I am intrigued since I don't know a lot about DX12 in general and the differences with past renditions. I have no clue what I did, but after a restart my game is running at 60 locked (set both min and max to 60 just to see) with no stutters on a GTX970, i7, and 32GB of ram @1080p on medium (100% resolution scale). So there is hope for all of us lmfao.
@@o.m9434 They say this, but the input lag I’m experiencing says otherwise. Coming from games like CS, Overwatch and even Halo MCC where I’ve optimized for split second reaction timing, there’s a definite input latency in Halo Infinite and I’m blaming it on this. The FPS values are near identical between these games, the only difference is that Halo Infinite isn’t dedicated full screen and happens to be the outlier

I think I mentioned it in the video but it's more complicated when you are supplicating your display between a monitor and a capture card that can only do 60
I have a Gtx 1060 and intel i5 6600, 16 GM RAM and I cant even reach 60 fps... There are games that look a lot better and i can reach 60 fps easily (star wars battlefront 2 f.e.)
Decent video, but the title is misleading. "no quality loss" isn't accurate at all, setting min fps to something your PC can't do will dynamically reduce the resolution to hit that FPS target, also known as DSR which is something consoles use very often. In the case of Infinite it isn't as noticable like it is in other games, but still looks like shit compared to running the game at native, because in reality, you're reducing the render resolution that the game presents to you. A GTX 1060 will struggle to hold 120 FPS in any situation, so setting the min framerate to 120 will reduce the quality of the game to hit that target. In this situation, you aren't running the game at native 1080p/1440/4k. In the case of the 1060 you would be running somewhere in the ball park of sub 720p resolution to hit that target. Interesting note, setting the FPS cap to something you can maintain will massively reduce CPU load, but strangely enough it's tied to the in-game framerate limiter. Using external methods to cap FPS doesn't have the same result, it appears to have nothing to do with actually capping the framerate and thus reducing the load, it's seems to be something with the engine itself because using something like RTSS or the NVIDIA feature to cap my framerate doesn't reduce the CPU load, but the in-game framerate limiter does, even when RTSS or NVIDIA override it still.
I don't have any fps issues while in game but when I'm in the main menu it's around 94fps BUT if i dare to move my mouse for like 1cm i fall between 8 and 23fps the menu is horrible for me.. any idea how to fix it??

Depends on your preference, if youre new to gaming and not all that good 60 is fine
Any true competitive FPS should be played at 144hz or more for fluid experience. 60 FPS is a casual console shooter.
Imo 60fps is fine, 120+ feels better but it's more than playable at 60. I'd go for a steady frame rate over everything else, so if 60 is the highest stable one you can get, I'd go for that
PLEASE help me I am unable to select a display adapter it’s just shaded out and the game will not let me run it on my simple nvidia graphics card any one know what to do
I really don't know how screen tearing is happening for you. I haven't seen any of that in a LONG time. VSYNC is horrific for MK players.
Thanks man!
No problem!
thanks helped big time

You have a G-sync GPU and monitor. Turn V-Sync off, ffs. You won't have tearing. That's the point of G-sync in the first place.
Except I clone my display for my capture card for my stream, which runs on my streaming PC. The capture card doesn't have gsync (I'm not sure how it could work for two displays anyway) so getting a steady 60fps for that and the recording is much more of a priority

It does have a resolution scale
Its a dx12 only game and dx12 games have no performance differences between fullscreen and borderless fullscreen
They confirmed it in a recent blog
@@o.m9434 I understand it has a resolution scale, I just mean, why is that the only option opposed to having the option to pick a base resolution and scale down percentage-wise from there.

I have a 3060ti graphics card but I don’t see it on my display adapter, it’s disabled for some reason. My other games show it’s on 3060ti. Is there a way to fix this?
Try updating your graphics driver.
Same here. Think it’s a 3060ti problem because when I searched it was all 3060ti owners having the problem
What were to happen if I were to turn my minimum frame rate to 240? (Thats what fps my monitor caps out at) I have a 6800xt card (AMD) and it seems to like to cap at the minimum framerate. Would my pc die if I were to cap it at 240fps?
It wouldn't die, but it just wouldn't reach it. Worth a try to see what would happen!
my game does not run well with everything low but i hop in warzone/vangaurd and they run smooth
If using gsync no need to use vsync
