One thing I hate about Eurgh is that he is allowed to react out of line when a hot bar is said, but when someone else from the crowd reacts from another bar, he just stares at them like a prick.
Leese has always been a solid act. This performance will probably earn him a flight or two.
Big ups to Soul, he's been active af, and deserves a lot of credit for his efforts.
yh i agree about chris and soul has always been a solid battle from day just a shame soul didnt seem to bothered by this battle maybe cos its promo i have no idea well done leese i gave it 3-0 leese but soul is champ for a reason so i aint taking nothing from him

+locknload429 It was fast as fuck, but double time isn't that impressive. There wasn't much content to it. Soul got it 2-1 (I give the second round to leese cause soul stumbled a bunch.

Awesome battle, and great to see Leese back on form! On his day he's one of the best in the league, and in my opinion he took this 3-0. It all depends on what style entertains you the most i guess, and for me I love Leese's cocky/aggressive delivery. Would love to see him v Quill or get a decent international soon

Lets put this into perspective. I have fucked with Soul way before everyone was on his nuts. He as a writer is epic and his punchlines and wordplay with references are second to none. He is personally one of my favourite battlers to watch for those reasons, but those strengths that soul has aren't necessarily the key to winning every single battle. he said some crazy shit in this battle, but its not just down to intelligence, its about breaking down/mocking your opponent. There are different types of battlers across don't flop in the uk scene which makes DF unique and versatile... you get serious hard bars , jokes and comedy , and sometimes you near enough get actors/performers. so in rambling on im saying in this battle chris leese pleased the crowd more, his performance was better , he was more enjoyable to watch for the audience in that room on that day and his bars were sick even though soul has a different style which people also like..... people need to stop thinking that souls some one who cant be beat by some one like chris leese... It was clear who won this battle, doesn't mean chris leese is necessarily better than soul, but he came back and he wanted it more and he went hardBoth sick mcs!

Why do most battlerap fans think having a good third round means you win 3-0? Soul CLEARLY won the first round, it isn't even debatable. Round 2 could of gone either way and Leese obviously won the third. I personally edged it 2-1 to Leese but saying it was a 3-0 body is just fucking stupid.

Mad battle, Chris' 3rd round was nuts, Soul came with hard punch lines but it was the same old shit you'll hear from any other battler, when it comes down to actual rapping ability, Chris murdered Soul. Chris shouldn't be champ, at all, but neither should Soul.

I hope people realize that Soul just put enough effort into this battle to edge it. I personally don't give points to double or tripple-time if you don't really say shit, which was the case in this battle. At the beginning of Soul's second, I was ready to give that round to Chris since it was a matter of jokes, but in the end, Soul was a lot more clever.
With this performance, Chris Leese would've been able to bodybag most mid-tier, but Soul's pen game is light years ahead of his. That being said, still an entertaining battle.
