Good job. It's allways satisfying when a problem is solved.
It takes some time, but well worth it.
One afternoon of frustration when remapping and remapping, but then Luba does everything much better and you can watch it mow like a pro.

Thanks for the tips. I noticed mine does those jig-moves when crossing through the channel, i.e. after it enters the next zone sometimes it kind of "looks around" to align itself best for starting to mow.
The thing with the donut in front of its home - I am sure they could fix that as well - it just looks like they simply forgot to do it until now - because when Luba approaches its home, it does make (usually) one multi point turn, then it stops and does the donut. So, basically what it would need to do is just make another multi point turn and then it would already be aligned with its back to the charging station.

Wow Crazy, thanks for the tips! Try making the donut holes a "No-Go" zone until new grass grows there. :^)

Great video. When you try to edit a zone or delete a channel, you can also just click on it, and it automatically selects. The same applies to no go zones. So much easier to identify.

Hey, glad that worked out for you, that clicking noise sounds like it might be a cog slipping if there is one, I’d assume wheels are direct drive though, otherwise a possible wheel motor starting to fail, might be time to send in for a warranty repair and avoid zero turn setting, too much strain IMO, especially with the old style wheels.

They could fix the spinning when docking. They just don't. All they need to do is program it to do more of a multi point turn. This is something it should be doing anyway when you have it set to multi point turn.
I've brought this up to them many times, and they claim they can't do it. I don't buy it.

If you care to regrow grass on the doughnut holes, you could try leaving that space out from the mowing zone (make a channel around it if required to drive near that place). Great to see some these videos... wonder how Yuka will perform.

You said you were reaching out to various companies to see if they would send you mowers for review, have you considered Yarbo for their Modular Yard Robot - it looks like a promising competitor for the Luba and ideal for your parents' property.

Are you getting a message every time you want to enter the "Map" to check for updates? I do, then it checks, tells me I'm updated but then goes back to check for the update again. I have to push the map button several times before it actually enters the map area.

i have a donut near a overlap, im going to try this, ALSO i have an issue with editing the border in a totally separate area, i see the app changes what you edited slightly, im thinking its doing something similar in my area im trying to edit, only its little change is somehow causing a boundary issue. im getting a 1130 error(the new perimeter is divided into multiple sections by other perimeters) have you had this issue?

    • @Crazypostman

I've also found if you use multipoint turn it needs an additional 2 to 4 in of space If you use zero turn it's pretty accurate on your boundaries

    • @davidmagazzi514

@@Crazypostman interesting, i didnt think it would matter because when you program it you drive it yourself and it would take the 2-4 inches into consideration. i did notice it goes outside the border a bit when on multiturn ending the rows

Infrared has a minimum range of 5 meters with a clear line of sight, otherwise, you would have had many issues with your TV remote when you were younger.
I don't really agree with your statement that Mammotion can't do anything to prevent the donuts, because it can be solved both software-wise and with the existing hardware.
You have a large lawn and can essentially hide your Luba, but your lawn size is not typical. In a "small" garden, a 1.5 x 1.5m hole is very noticeable. Mammotion needs to improve this, and I think you shouldn't encourage them not to address it in your videos.
Please don't take this the wrong way.
    Best regards.

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Just because I said don't know how they would go about fixing it, I certainly didn't mean it to come across like I don't encourage them to try to. I really hope they do something to mitigate it somehow.
