Tho I don’t like Royal Albert, I love that you collect tea pots! I collect China as well. Dinner plates, serving platters, tureens, tea cups.... I also love that you are not afraid to show people and display your unabashed love for collecting. Your figurines are lovely.

      Hello Susana
May I ask why you don't like Royal Albert? What brands do you collect? I can't afford RA right now but I would love to get some of their patterns. I am happy with Gracie China and such 😅❤

Royal Albert is not easy for me to find in Kenya. If I wanted a collection like this I have to import

Wow! I am also watching from Kenya. I loooove Royal Albert. I have a few cups, decor plates and sugar pots. I get them from the second hand dealers in Nairobi.

I am a huge Royal Albert fan, but sorry it's looking like a madness... Why one person need to give up comfortable beautiful home to live inside the china store, and by the end everything will be going to estate sale or goodwill. You having just one life. Why anyone ever can need so much china what you never ever use? Sorry I don't want to be rude, just really curious

Oh, I guess there is a misunderstanding here. We bought a big house with a supposed to be ‘rental 2 bedroom suite’. Instead of renting, The suite houses my massive china collection, so I don’t see any giving up on the comfort of our home. Plus, only dedicated collectors would understand why many is satisfying. Just think on how one can have 100 pair of shoes or 50 Berkin bags or 30 cars-this is definitely the same concept. I personally know someone who has over 200 sneakers collection which he never uses at all. I am confident to expand my collection firstly because they give me sooo much satisfaction; secondly, mg daughters love them, so they will inherit them. 😊

Because it's HER HOBBY😊 Some people choose to use their china some like to look at them. (Like me)😊 So what? It's their poragative. Some women have 500 pairs of shoes, but only have two feet🤣 some people collect old coins, hats, license plate, etc...again it's their choice.

@@thechinacollector You shouldn't have to defend YOUR HOBBY. Some people are just closed-minded and assume everyone should like what they like and do what they do. What's comfortable for her may not be comfortable for you and vice versa. I collect china too. I don't post my pictures on Instagram but I did create a Pinterest page where I showcase my collection. Can you believe some people actually had the audacity to tell me that I'm using Pinterest wrong? 🤣 They said I'm suppose to pin other people's pins and not my own.. I said oh well if you don't like my page, don't look🤣🤣 as simple as that😊 Anyway, take care and keep enjoying your collection. This world is filled with so much negativity if one finds joy in something, in anything, they should not let anyone take that away from them. So keep smiling, keep collecting and keep enjoying your beautiful collection 🖐😁

It’s a little bit shocking, I have to agree. And we shouldn’t judge people as long as they’re not hurting anyone. I too have a few teapots (just a dozen), which I use extensively and regularly. I purposely keep the collection small because I don’t have a big house, and I’m also a utilitarian. But I do get Regina’s point. These are fragile items that would require constant care and cleaning. At what point would it start interfering in your life where you will forsake a social life, your job and taking care of your family? How often do you clean them? I know of an old couple in my group, empty nesters, who has their entire house covered in china and they clean them together everyday. They’re lucky to have a shared hobby.

The concept is collecting. It's what she enjoys. Nobody is being buried with anything and everything you have will be donated to others but for goodness sake before that happens enjoy your life!
