Although I don't remember if (for the movie 'Maryada') Pran Saab had any beard or not. But he showed two unique behaviours No. 1 on more than one instances he utters: waf wafafaf. No. 2 in a very peculiar way, he would overturn a burning cigarette inside his mouth and bring it back outside. Those days even I feared him on screen.
Old movies were all about experimenting with the characters and legendary actor Pran was the true example of that... Nowadays we miss those different looks and get-ups.. I must say he was one of the most brilliant actor👌🏻👌🏻 Amazing story Rahoul..👍🏻👍🏻👏🏼👏🏼
Rahoul, pran was a finest and versatile actor of Bollywood. Also a very good human being. Rahoul , bahut sara film me woh hero/ heroin ko bhi fade kad diye apne performance se.. Kal hi "insaaf" nam ke ek thriller movie dekha jisme unka double role tha. A judge and a killer. And what a performance he given ! Superb ! Very nice post. Stay blessed..
A wonderful tribute to Pran Sahab ( as he was called ) on his birth anniversary. This really is a gem of a video Rahoul...a very thorough research about the different beards the versatile actor experimented with in various films. 5 decades in the film industry is not a small thing...he entertained people of each genre, children used to get scared on seeing Pran the villain on screen.. such was his fierce acting &i mpact on the minds of the people. He was a dedicated professional...he would get into the skin of the character of the roles offered to him & because of his dedication towards his character, most of his roles were classics & he created a strong impact in movies as well as in the minds of the masses. He was a thinking actor, hence he would always try to portray himself in roles which would be different from one another in a unique way, the directors too must have given Pran a free hand in terms of looks & he would not disappoint any of them. Whether he took inspiration from Lincoln, His Professor, A theatre artist Chandramohan, a Qawwal, a Pathan, people just loved him and accepted his uniqueness. From villain to grey roles to a good man in the later years...he played each role with perfection. Not many artists get the privilege to play so many different roles in a career. Pran sir was the most versatile actor in hindi cinema. No one can ever match him. He was highly paid, even more than hero. His presence in movies used to overshade the leading character.
PRAN is outstanding actor as also person His excellent career is too amazing to be described. He was named Villain of the Millenium. I would like to say that he is the greatest Actor of all times.
There was a tiff between pran sahab and prakash mehra for his role in zanjeer. Prakash mehra wanted pran sahab to wear peshewari cap, like those worn by darbans outside 5 star hotels that time. But pran sahab put his foot down and refused to which mehra said that a scene needs it as he was supposed to put that cap in front of someone. Pran sahab changed the scene saying he will remove a hair from his moustache. Well no one can forget Malang baba from Upkar and that iconic song. Kasme waade pyaar wafa sab waade hain wadon ka kya koi kisi ka nahin yeh jhuthe naate hain naaton ka kya. RIP Pran sahab.
