I LOVE ememies to lovers but only in the fantasy, dark romance books where it's knife to throat/ pure hatred with an underlining of desire. not Spanish love deception/ the hating game type enemies to lovers.
@@squidwardtentacles7144 for Fantasy I’ve recently read a curse so dark and lonely by Brigid Kemmerer which was really good. But also the cruel prince trilogy, and dance of thieves. Dark romance I would recommend brutal prince.
Hahahaha I already love your first answer😂I honestly don't get why so many people like teacher/ student romances. They always feel a little icky to me, no matter how hard the author tries to portray it as this romantic forbidden love story🙄
personally i love love triangles cuz there is so much drama between the 3 people but sometimes the things people do during love triangles are not exactly morally right sometimes but i love the drama
I love the trope where they like eachother online and when they meet in person they hate eachother and it's like 2 different stories, the lovers, and the enemies. Ilyy💕💕
I read a online strangers to online friends to lovers story once. It was also technically brothers best friend! The MC was online best friends with the brother and recruited the love interest to help him surprise the brother by visiting him for his birthday and they fell in love. it was so good.
I completely agree with your opinion on the bad boy x good girl trope, I think it’s only good when it’s done right, it’s not one of my favorite tropes tbh.
i think you’d love The Bodyguard by Katherine Center!! in this book the girl mc is the bodyguard and their relationship is so cute :) it has “forced” proximity (they have to live together so she can protect them) and fake dating too!
completely agree with you abt bad boy/good girl and bully romance. i absolutely despise when the boy is misogynist and abusive but they have a 'redemption' like no lets not romantisise this. also when the girl just lets him treat her badly, doesn't stand up for herself, ew. penelope douglas does this allll the time and it makes me so mad. all of ur get rid of its i completely agree, would add teacher/student to that because scarred from ezra and aria
I really enjoyed The BodyGuard by Catherine Center. The female is actually the bodyguard in this one. Not steamy but I thought it was a lot of fun! And I agree with you on your favorites and the ones that should just go!!
just finished this and i could not agree more. in my opinion rhys was just protective enough that it was attractive but wasn’t overbearing. you can sense the sparks from the beginning and it’s just SO GOOD. there’s no other words. just amazing plot and amazing spice
weirdly, i consider bad boy/good girl and grumpy/sunshine very differently cause you don't have to be bad to be grumpy or good to be sunshine. it's just so happens that most bad boys are grumpy but you know vice versa it's not the same thing: plenty of grumps don't have the bad boy stereotype. is what im saying making sense ?
clicking on the video, seeing your face and literally gasping because I'm so excited!!! your videos make me feel so happy I don't know what it is,, love this video :))
academic rivals to lovers is everything to me, ill pick up any book with it. also starstruck is such a good movie and still holds up!! truly the y/n dream movie
6:36 I loved the dynamic between Hannah and Jack in The Bodyguard by Katherine Center. Not sure if this is what you meant. 9:00 What about Waylay from Things We Never Got Over? She made me laugh so hard.
for a bodyguard romance i can recommend "twisted games" written by ana huang! it’s an open door romance and the second book in the series. you don’t have to read it im order but the books are about a friendship group of 4 girls so the books will mean more to you if you do read it im the right order :)
@@SaraCarrolli i didnt really like the first book either but in my opinion the books get better? i especially liked the third one (enemies with benefits) hihi. the forth one is fake dating and i adored the main character! that has nothing to do with the video but i just finished "the girls i’ve been" by tess sharpe and really liked it! btw i love your videos, they are so conforming to watch💞
the one i read that was one of us is famous is lucy scores new book “maggie moves on” she’s like a youtuber so not technically like FAMOUS famous but it was really cute i liked it a lot
if you havent read the inheritance games pleaseee do! it has love triangle in it but seriously it didnt bother me at all! the love triangle isn’t the forefront of the book but i think you would really like it!
We have some strongly different taste, but I am so happy you said “children in books” YES. I hate reading a book and a child is involved, especially as steamy read because it’s just weird. Parents, babies, pregnancies, like… no.
The simple wild by ka tucker is a sunshinexgrumpy trope that I absolutely hated. The guy in this was just so rude to her without any reason and he never apologizes. If ever you are recommended to read it DO NOT READ
I agree 1000% with stepbrother THROW IT AWAY!! 🤢I can’t read tho’s books love this video tho also have you read ( Under the lights ) by Abbi Glines its a childhood friends to lovers also kinda second chance romance it’s amazing 💗
I like kids in books when they are donde right. Specially if one of the romantic interest is not a child person. When it comes to single parents I believe there is nothing more sweet than a person loving your children as if it was theirs. But, i don't like when this supposed 5 year old give advice like a 76 year old person. Hahahaha. And with pregnancy books... It depends on my mood. Like, I would read 4 books with that trope and not read that trope again in a year. Like, Sabrina and Tucker made me like this trope a little bit more.
recently read "Funny You Should Ask" by Elissa Sussman and it def fit the "one of us is famous" trope and it BANGEDDDD. So good! Not a five star for me but close! *five stars for me is life changing/will always own a physical copy/would read again*

Yes exactly
Same! That's what I essentially thought the enemies to lovers trope was. Do you have any recommendations?

@haikuhaikyuu8124 which book is it?
i clicked so fast it didn’t even come up in my notifications-
Love that
Fake dating is my fav trope!! But childhood friends to lovers is right there with it 😫
no because the absolute HOLD the ezra aria ship had on 11 year old me was concerning
legit me too. i ate it up

"why are we bullying each other" my thought everytime! the bully doesn't need love, they need psychological help...biggest ick
Hi Sara! Super excited for the video! You legit got me back into reading, got a notebook for my tbr ilyyy!

If you want a good bodyguard/royalty romance Twisted Games by Ana Huang is INCREDIBLE. It blew my mind, 12/10, so spicy so good.

I’m curious what you think of the Love Hypothesis since you put teacher student at “not a vibe/fan”
that felt different bc adam technically wasn’t her teacher

Sara saying get rid of step brother romance.
Ugly Love:👀
ok but he ended up with tate so i look past it
wait…wouldn’t the selection kinda count as royalty?
omg wait yes. and i loved that series
Not all the tropes on top being the ones in love and other words
and that’s why it’s my favorite book!
mariana zapata books are definitely not a good choice for you, because of the extreme slow burn 💀
yea i read 2 of hers i didnt love them
Yess kids in books are SO annoying!!
recently read "Funny You Should Ask" by Elissa Sussman and it def fit the "one of us is famous" trope and it BANGEDDDD. So good! Not a five star for me but close!
