Do you want revival? Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they SHALL BE FILLED! Did the 1970 revival last? It depends on how you judge a revival. It lasted 3 weeks on the campus when it burned like a match head, for those who were sincere it lasted 53 years. Where all who were there in 1973 touched and changed? No. The unfaithful do not define our faithful Father. Judas was with Jesus 3 years wasn't changed and did not remain faithful. Because 100% aren't changed or continue to walk with God does not mean God wasn't there meeting, filling and changing them. Every heart is like one of 4 kinds of soil. So, I'm sure that some went back to sin. It will be that way with this and every revival. Some will fall away, some will go on with Jesus and do exploits for God. I have friends that were at Asbury in 1970. Allen and Ruth Mather. They are in their 70's now. Their lives show they have loved Jesus and served him and others their entire lives. The Mather family have helped change the lives of thousands who have also helped change the lives of thousands of others. They've never had a ministry that paid them a salary. Most of the ministry they've done was paid for by their own secular jobs. They have two sons, Todd and Sam, both have lived to minister to others. On judgement day I would rather be in their shoes than 98% of the "Full Time" ministers I know. Several months ago the Lord led Allen to write a book. "The Transforming Power of Heaven", Letting the Presence of God That's in Heaven Flood into Your Life" by Allen Mather The title of Allen's book could also describe what is happening at Asbury University 73 years later. The Presence of God That's in Heaven is Flooding into the lives of a new generation! I would recommend this book to all of the students at the 2023 Asbury Revival and all who are hungry for more of God.

He came home in December and has had many improvements but the colon is still not sealed and he has painfully had a tube in his lower back all this time. He also had an ileostomy which potentially could be reversed in the future if the colon seals. His name is Tim, appreciate your prayers and for my anxiety thru this. Your testimony really helps
🔥🔥 Ive seen some posting demeaning stuff on this move of Holyspirit If there is a band with distorted guitars, famous preachers and with lightings and ambience, those guys will go nuts crying its a hype and emotions.. now when there is nothing, still they are crying its hype and hypnosis what not.. 🤣 im pretty sure this revival has pissed off many preachers and bands who thought they will play an important role in the revival. I was a student at Asbury in the Fall term of 1967. I was not saved and didn't want to be. I realized that I was way too close to Jesus at Asbury College. By February, 1970, I was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. God pursued me until 1992, before we did "soul business". My God is real to me, and this video brought tears a few times. God was, in those moments, here, in my presence. May His Spirit always be in me and reach out to others.

When I wakeup in the morning I spend anywhere from 1 to 2 hours reading my Bible and praying. I've only been doing this for a couple of years or so. I still feel I need more. Much more. I'm 66 and been saved since 1979. I wish I would have done this throughout my christian life. I'm determined to keep this up. I want more of God, and I want to see souls get saved and revival come to America!

Most definitely Daniel. True biblical repentance is having a new relationship with sin. The only thing that threw me off with this man’s advice to the lady was to go and confess her sin to the those she’d lied to. Our fist movement should be to fall before the face of God to plead for forgiveness of her sin.
I've been in my own personal revival since April 2017 growing stronger by the day! 🙏😁 Prayers for all my brothers and sisters to experience what I have. Oh the love joy and peace that passes all understanding that can only come from our heavenly father the precious lord and savior Jesus with the holy Spirit. Saved by grace through faith.
Bob Stamps was our chaplain at O RU in September 1970. I sat unknowingly by my future husband in our first chapel meeting..preached by Brother Bob Stamps. Brother Bob dedicated our son Mark to God in 1972. He is now a pastor in midtown st. Louis. I believe our 52-year marriage and our sons Church is a result of that revival... I pray for more and more fruit from this current revival. ☝️😂

I hope this recent movement at Asbury will have the same focus that the one in 1970 had. Not on spiritual gifts but on sin and repentance and restoration. Jesus said when the Spirit comes He will convict of sin, righteousness and judgment.
YES! Less on the sensationalism, although gifts are a sign. But, I/we need to repent, draw near to God. Put Him first. Where He belongs: in our life, our family, our nation.
I imagine the Spirit will do what needs to be done. I don't know why we would hope that he doesn't manifest gifts. That's a strangely unbiblical desire.

I recently became curious about the Jesus movement of the late 1960s and mid-1970s, which is the same time period during a previous revival occurred at Asbury. It was then known as The Jesus Revolution. For anyone here who might be interested, a movie will be coming out later this month (23rd or 24th, I think) by that same title. I strongly encourage all of you to check out the trailers and then go see it in the theaters. It will be well worth the price of admission.
Yes, there are a few Christian movies coming out right now that people should support and be blessed by. In fact, there is a whole lot less at the movie theaters and this seems to be taking its place. Praise God and all glory to God. Invite your neighbors and family. Most people fear losing people over telling them about God, but the surest way to truly lose them is to never tell them about God.
This new movement is called the second coming of Jesus movement. This year is the year of mass revival. There is even Jesus March happening this March - June. Our church has grown and now we have three services. God is moving and getting us ready for something big.
That is exactly what GOD is calling what is about to happen, the Jesus Revolution which is the glory of God. This revival is just the beginning of something so much bigger and better than we can comprehend.
J.D., right on target. Revival is for the believers and awakening is for the culture. We experienced both in 1966 in West Plains, MO, and in that order. Revival came at FBC where I was on staff, and then spread to believers in other churches. Within days or weeks the community began to take notice -- something they had not done before revival broke. This was the general pattern in OT revivals under people like Hezekiah and others -- God dealt with the believers in such life-changing ways that society took notice. The same thing happened in the various awakenings throughout history. In the Shantung Revival of north China, God dealt with missionaries and pastors, and then the game was on. The same was true in the First, Second, and Third Great Awakenings in America -- even the Pentecostal Revival, the Hebrides Revival, the Welsh Revival, and the Jesus movement. As far as I can tell, -- and I'm certainly no authority -- revival of the believer almost always precedes awakenings, and almost all revivals are preceded by penitent and intercessory praying by believers -- such as the Haystack Revival of the early 19th Century.

It’s amazing to hear the testimonies and see the clips. I had a vision a couple years ago of revival coming and couldn’t understand why everyone and everything looked as if it was the 1970’s. Now I know! The Lord was going to spark a fire rekindling what started back then, but going to take it to a whole new level. I believe we are witnessing the beginning of the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the greatest revival this world has ever seen!

I remember the move of God in the 1970's. The "Jesus People," revivals. Amongst all the hippie walk and talk, there were true repentance and miracles. You won't find God without having His miracles. So many were healed. So many were baptized. So many found God for the first time. There must be a well in Kentucky, where the saving Grace of God keeps bubbling up for all to drink. And heaven only knows how dry and barren this duration has been without Him.
Yes, there are those faithful & pleasing to the Lord. This encourages me to likewise become closer to Him. More holy. And, I met my dear Savior Jesus Christ in 1970 during the Jesus Movement. All my hope is in Him. He has never let me down. Ever! Call on Him. Read His Word: His love letter to you. Signed in His precious Blood. He made every provision for you, now & for eternity. Following the ways of the world will only lead you to Hell. Yes, there is a Hell. Satan does not want you to know the truth of that eternal, fiery, destitute place. You do not need to go there. Rather, follow Jesus, the Way, the Truth, the Life.
Beautiful testimony! Humble yourself and He will lift you up! Forgive us Lord, forgive the church. We have gotten so far away from the truth. Heal us Lord, and put our hearts and minds in line with yours.

I met Christ in a dream in 2015 around February 5th! He’s pure love and power and His voice is like many waters! It is still the most amazing experience of my life. Saturday I was at Asbury and God was moving & that was one of the highlights of my life 🙏🏾🕊
There is nothing like personally experiencing revival. We have some friends that were actually attending Asbury College when this revival broke out. They are in their 70's now and have served the Lord all these years. Their 2 sons are in the ministry serving God. Does revival last? Yes, it goes on in the lives of those who have experience the burning fire of the Holy Spirit! We must never stop crying out to God, holding up His promises for revival and outpouring. I believe the greatest days of outpouring are just ahead. I believe God wants to pour out His Spirit more than His people desire it. He has said to Ask for rain in the time of the latter rain. Was He teasing?! No, He is not the problem. He is waiting on us. Revival can begin right now in our own lives. Someone said something like this, Let God set you on fire and the world will come and watch you burn! Oh, Lord, help us not to be distracted!
Have your own revival today! "If My people...will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways..." Just do it! God will show up!

I became a Christian in 1979. It was on the tail of the Charismatic Renew and Jesus People Movement that I found Christ....or....He found me! There was a different time then. The Holy Spirit was palpable. Love and unity filled our hearts. We really loved one another. May The Lord allow that to continue in the hearts of these young people. They are the future!
Around 54 minutes, the guy said he got on the phone line to tell the world and someone in Ethiopia picked up....I am Ethiopian and in 1970 was around the time my parents got saved because there was a Pentecostal movement happening in Ethiopia and college students were getting saved left and right. My parents were dating at that time and when my dad got saved, he went to my mom in another town and told her that he found Jesus and if she doesn't accept Christ, they can't no longer be together. Then my mom told him that she already found Christ on her campus but didn't know how to tell him. 🤣 Anyways, here we are today... they have been married 50 years this May, with 6 children and 10 grand children. Isn't God good!!!?!!! Praise the Lord! Now 2023, the Lord has done it again!!!! 🙌

The Jesus Movement started on the beaches of S California in the late 1960s and 1970s. It spread through Pastor Chuck Smith and Calvary Chapel, through the power of GOD!!
Having been blessed beyond measure to have been brought to Christ during the Jesus Movement when I was 16 I can attest to the life changing power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Seek Him and He will be found. When you are with Him He is with you. Our gracious and loving, reciprocal God, and His Son whom He sent to rescue us from being in the world without God aimless and afraid. It is not revival that we seek, it is the Living God that we seek. But may He bring revival to us to help us draw near to Him together, because HE lives. If God chooses to work with the youth at the schools then let us pray for every school and college campus for the glory of the Lord to visit them until Maranatha. Hosanna He saves. Call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved. The calling is yours. The saving is His. Jesus saves us for today and into eternity forever His.

Most definitely Daniel. True biblical repentance is having a new relationship with sin. The only thing that threw me off with this man’s advice to the lady was to go and confess her sin to the those she’d lied to. Our fist movement should be to fall before the face of God to plead for forgiveness of her sin.

Bob Stamps was our chaplain at O RU in September 1970. I sat unknowingly by my future husband in our first chapel meeting..preached by Brother Bob Stamps. Brother Bob dedicated our son Mark to God in 1972. He is now a pastor in midtown st. Louis. I believe our 52-year marriage and our sons Church is a result of that revival... I pray for more and more fruit from this current revival. ☝️😂

I hope this recent movement at Asbury will have the same focus that the one in 1970 had. Not on spiritual gifts but on sin and repentance and restoration. Jesus said when the Spirit comes He will convict of sin, righteousness and judgment.

Our prayer today is simply the words of the great hymn, Revive Us Again.
I recently became curious about the Jesus movement of the late 1960s and mid-1970s, which is the same time period during a previous revival occurred at Asbury. It was then known as The Jesus Revolution. For anyone here who might be interested, a movie will be coming out later this month (23rd or 24th, I think) by that same title. I strongly encourage all of you to check out the trailers and then go see it in the theaters. It will be well worth the price of admission.
Yes, there are a few Christian movies coming out right now that people should support and be blessed by. In fact, there is a whole lot less at the movie theaters and this seems to be taking its place. Praise God and all glory to God. Invite your neighbors and family. Most people fear losing people over telling them about God, but the surest way to truly lose them is to never tell them about God.
This new movement is called the second coming of Jesus movement. This year is the year of mass revival. There is even Jesus March happening this March - June. Our church has grown and now we have three services. God is moving and getting us ready for something big.
That is exactly what GOD is calling what is about to happen, the Jesus Revolution which is the glory of God. This revival is just the beginning of something so much bigger and better than we can comprehend.

J.D., right on target. Revival is for the believers and awakening is for the culture. We experienced both in 1966 in West Plains, MO, and in that order. Revival came at FBC where I was on staff, and then spread to believers in other churches. Within days or weeks the community began to take notice -- something they had not done before revival broke. This was the general pattern in OT revivals under people like Hezekiah and others -- God dealt with the believers in such life-changing ways that society took notice. The same thing happened in the various awakenings throughout history. In the Shantung Revival of north China, God dealt with missionaries and pastors, and then the game was on. The same was true in the First, Second, and Third Great Awakenings in America -- even the Pentecostal Revival, the Hebrides Revival, the Welsh Revival, and the Jesus movement. As far as I can tell, -- and I'm certainly no authority -- revival of the believer almost always precedes awakenings, and almost all revivals are preceded by penitent and intercessory praying by believers -- such as the Haystack Revival of the early 19th Century.

It’s amazing to hear the testimonies and see the clips. I had a vision a couple years ago of revival coming and couldn’t understand why everyone and everything looked as if it was the 1970’s. Now I know! The Lord was going to spark a fire rekindling what started back then, but going to take it to a whole new level. I believe we are witnessing the beginning of the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the greatest revival this world has ever seen!

I remember the move of God in the 1970's. The "Jesus People," revivals. Amongst all the hippie walk and talk, there were true repentance and miracles. You won't find God without having His miracles. So many were healed. So many were baptized. So many found God for the first time.
There must be a well in Kentucky, where the saving Grace of God keeps bubbling up for all to drink. And heaven only knows how dry and barren this duration has been without Him.
Yes, there are those faithful & pleasing to the Lord. This encourages me to likewise become closer to Him. More holy. And, I met my dear Savior Jesus Christ in 1970 during the Jesus Movement. All my hope is in Him. He has never let me down. Ever! Call on Him. Read His Word: His love letter to you. Signed in His precious Blood. He made every provision for you, now & for eternity. Following the ways of the world will only lead you to Hell. Yes, there is a Hell. Satan does not want you to know the truth of that eternal, fiery, destitute place. You do not need to go there. Rather, follow Jesus, the Way, the Truth, the Life.
May the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ Be blessed and Lifted Highest.

There is nothing like personally experiencing revival. We have some friends that were actually attending Asbury College when this revival broke out. They are in their 70's now and have served the Lord all these years. Their 2 sons are in the ministry serving God.
Does revival last? Yes, it goes on in the lives of those who have experience the burning fire of the Holy Spirit!
We must never stop crying out to God, holding up His promises for revival and outpouring.
I believe the greatest days of outpouring are just ahead.

I became a Christian in 1979. It was on the tail of the Charismatic Renew and Jesus People Movement that I found Christ....or....He found me! There was a different time then. The Holy Spirit was palpable. Love and unity filled our hearts. We really loved one another. May The Lord allow that to continue in the hearts of these young people. They are the future!
Around 54 minutes, the guy said he got on the phone line to tell the world and someone in Ethiopia picked up....I am Ethiopian and in 1970 was around the time my parents got saved because there was a Pentecostal movement happening in Ethiopia and college students were getting saved left and right. My parents were dating at that time and when my dad got saved, he went to my mom in another town and told her that he found Jesus and if she doesn't accept Christ, they can't no longer be together. Then my mom told him that she already found Christ on her campus but didn't know how to tell him. 🤣 Anyways, here we are today... they have been married 50 years this May, with 6 children and 10 grand children. Isn't God good!!!?!!! Praise the Lord! Now 2023, the Lord has done it again!!!! 🙌

The Jesus Movement started on the beaches of S California in the late 1960s and 1970s. It spread through Pastor Chuck Smith and Calvary Chapel, through the power of GOD!!
Having been blessed beyond measure to have been brought to Christ during the Jesus Movement when I was 16 I can attest to the life changing power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Seek Him and He will be found. When you are with Him He is with you. Our gracious and loving, reciprocal God, and His Son whom He sent to rescue us from being in the world without God aimless and afraid. It is not revival that we seek, it is the Living God that we seek. But may He bring revival to us to help us draw near to Him together, because HE lives. If God chooses to work with the youth at the schools then let us pray for every school and college campus for the glory of the Lord to visit them until Maranatha. Hosanna He saves. Call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved. The calling is yours. The saving is His. Jesus saves us for today and into eternity forever His.

I would love to hear some of these individuals who were students then in 1970 and their reaction to the revival currently happening. I also wonder if some of them have come back to that same auditorium to experience this revival.
We have friends that were at Asbury in 1970. Allen and Ruth Mather. They are in their 70's now and have loved Jesus and served him their entire lives. Several months ago the Lord led Allen to write a book. "The Transforming Power of Heaven", Letting the Presence of God That's in Heaven Flood into Your Life" by Allen Mather
The title of Allen's book could also describe what is happening at Asbury University 73 years later.
The Presence of God That's in Heaven is Flooding into the lives of a new generation!
