I genuinely could not think of a better field. With that turf and the mountain back drop. I Couldnt think of anything better than playing a championship game under the lights on that field. Great great video

That fields actually really small compared to what they measured out. The one they took measurements on was their old field
In Boston we got one right on the water front with the entire city in the background that just lights up amazing at night and right down the road is a beach and a bunch of bars and restaurants it's like a surf town these guy's defently should go there it would look amazing on camera I would need to find out the actual name of the field if they were interested
Yeah… when I played ball, our field was at the end of a business park with train tracks in the outfield, a police call center on one side and a busy highway in the background.
You guys should do a “most beautiful fields U.S” tour … just go around the country hitting dingers! Maybe take apps and let some past their prime dads come show you up :-) … love you guys

I’ve been saying I’d love to do what u guys do for a living for months now. Went to hit today for the first time in 2 years. I can’t move. I’m so sore and my hands are still numb from jamming myself every pitch😭my mind changed quick after those first few swings😂

My first Baum(Ash taper) is amazing. Tons of pop. Huge sweet spot. Felt like it was losing some pop after however many seasons so I purchased a gold edition maple. This exact color combination in this video actually. Has to be better, right? It sucks compared to my old ash Baum. My old Baum is the "lefty" bat on my team. Made the guys try my new one and they also thought it sucks comparatively.
It vibrates even on the sweet spot, handle is skinnier, small sweet spot, and doesn't pop like my old one. Wrote Baum and basically told me tough, everyone else loves them. It's a $300 POS. I've literally promoted their bats into a dozen sales. Whatever, my experience with the new Baum company. Old company was far better towards their customers.
Edit: had to eat my words after Baum reached out to me after seeing this post on TH-cam. They did the right thing. Awesome customer service in the end. Thanks again Baum and BBB.
Dang man quality assurance must be a bit suspect.
Our maple vs the ash version was definitely a lot stiffer but it got some noticeably hotter exit velos
@@baseballbatbros yes, the ash is noticeably stiffer. Thicker handle like I said as well. Not sure if I got a freak production ash that is hot or a dud pro maple. The Ash I have is actually textured. It's that old from when Baum didn't smooth the wood. Can see all the wood grains. Either way they didn't really care. Would love to test the exit Velo on them. I'm confident my old bat would significantly out perform my new one. BTW I've been offering you guys an Easton Redline for ages now. My college bat. Imho the best there was of that era. Swung them all. C-core, z2k,....Redline was ridiculous.
One thing is for sure, I’ve definitely seen some ‘duds’ come from Baum Bat and some that are really really good.

I’ve gone through several Baum bats since they’ve made the wood change including the end-load, and just don’t see the pop it used to have. Moved to the Old Hickory MT27, Love it! If your looking for a Baum 33 there’s one for sale on eBay.
That velo today was the highest EV I’ve ever got with a wood bat, but these do have a very rigid stiff feel

Marucci gamer maple is awesome. I also hit with MT old hick. They are about the same, but get I get a little more distance with the Murucci.

Hey I know it’s an older bbcor but could you guys try out the Axe origin Gs4 model it’s an end loaded bat I’ve been wanting to think about buying for highschool next year, would be the best if I was able to understand if it has pop or not, small sweet spot, etc. Keep up the great work!

This BP practice really shows you how good MLB players are, especially the ones in the HR derby. Using a wood bat with slow pitching and just blasting the ball.
Baum Bat is not a Wood bat....It's metal wrapped in wood...there is a reason they are not allowed in Minor League and MLB....but yes MLB players hitting with real wood is special.

Baum bat is basically layers of wood veneer filled with polymer foam surrounding a metal or composite rod. It's not the wood density that matters. They basically just added some weight to the end to shift the balance. The bat should be the same. Difference is sweet spot or forgiveness is solely due to the shift of CoM.
Balanced bats have a specific hot spot because they compromise power efficiency (swing weight and CoM) with power content (speed at endcap) so usually you have to hit it on the vibrational node (spot that doesn't ring you up) or else you're dealing with a huge loss of energy, whereas endloaded bats have much less compromise required. I can explain the physics to you since i study this stuff at my university and i make bats lol

Baum Bats are the original wood composite bat as was so amazing we can be the ones to invite the space. We have never had or will ever have any metal or rods in our bats. Just an old myth since our bats are so strong.

I looked on your website to confirm your statement, but I've found patents pertaining to your company that include the use of fiber- resin rods in the center. Is this an old patent that was never used or am i misreading the drawing? This likely is were the myth started as I've had several bat manufacturers convince me on this even saying that they've seen it.
