Haha, yeah, I have never found one like that either. We like to make them into necklaces ourselves. It has more sentimental value when you find it and make it as opposed to buying it from a shop.
As far as my understanding goes you do not need a permit to collect shark teeth on Venice Beach, Florida, as long as it's for personal use and you're collecting by hand without digging into the dunes or using tools that could damage the environment.
Thx for sharing guys..I'm gonna have to go down there & get some sharks teeth myself... As my elderly friend with Dementia loves making shell ..Beads..Angels etc & Now Hopefully shark teeth necklaces with me
Couldn’t help but notice that the pride find of the lot ( a megladon ) had wiring on it like it had been worn around a neck. Was that prior purchase, seeded into the lot to make it look more impressive, or did some unlucky soul recently loose a piece of their jewelry ?
Haha no, it did not have the wire on it when we found it. my little brother was very excited about that find so as soon as we got back he turned it into a necklace. Then later that day I took it off the cord to finish the video.
Not exactly sure, but I would assume the worst time to go is during the busiest times of the year like spring break and winter break because that's when the most people will be out looking for the same thing your looking for.
@@EternalFrameProductions awesome! We were just in Venice last week. It was our first time and we plan on going back to caspersen. Haven't been to the west coast beaches in about 15-20 years. It's a 2 hour drive for us but it was a great time. Definitely gonna go back!
@@chefroger84 Yes, I love the west coast beaches. It all depends on what your looking for though. A lot warmer water and a lot smaller waves, the gulf side is the place to be.
@@sethquartararo8581 Congrats, glad the trip was a success!! we went to Caspersen beach parking, then we walked to the right on the beach until we found an opening. not sure on the exact location. Also helps a lot to use sifters.
Love your video style man! Also, love those floating sifters you use! We’re totally going to make one!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Those floating sifters were by far the most efficient method we have used.
I have been there several times and never found one that was wired for a necklace. they have those in the shop in town.

Is there a best time of year to look for shark teeth in the Venice area?

After a storm.... We are down here in (January 2022) and found tons.
Is that Casperson beach?

so this isnt caspersen?
Yes, Caspersen Beach.
Very lucky to find one already wired.
Haha that would be nice wouldn't it. We wired that one as soon as we got back because we're so excited to make it into a necklace.
A big secret and it is kinda a no brainer
Search under the rock where they get stuck
Yo are these abundant? Is it worth taking my kids to get some?
Yes very abundant, lots of families there finding shark teeth every weekend. I would say its definitely worth bringing the kids to check it out.
