This song conveys so many thoughts & emotions; some lasting, some fleeting, but all heartbreaking. I have never been an avid fan of Bush,- but this song, I hold particularly dear to my heart. ❤
She saw the pieces of her yesterday She was wondering how she’d fade away Who loved her and really listened in Whether she had made a difference He’s a soldier (he’s a soldier) of misfortune Seven steps to make one forward How the truth hurts The lies, they crystallize Try to wrap your arms around a memory Maybe you are not where you’re meant to be Lord knows we’re not who we think we are All night doctors All night preachers All night girls to get you through (get you through, get you through) Lost and wasted Hope is fading I wait here for you The secret life of our interiors Whey most girls are superior Everyday i’m on the slide for you and Every night is the same i’m waiting For the world to change For all the fighting (for all the fighting) to die away Find comfort in your memory I’m not where i am meant to be You shine the world stops And gods are humbled All night doctors All night preachers All night girls to get you through (get you through, get you through) Lost and wasted Hope is fading I wait here for you (for you, for you) Were you ever my love Were you ever my love I don’t know (i don’t know, i don’t know) (I sense) All night doctors (Were you ever my love) All night preachers (Were you ever my love) All night girls to get you through (get you through, get you through) Lost and wasted (Were you ever my love) Hope is fading (Were you ever my love) I wait here for you (for you, for you) Were you ever my love Were you ever my love I don’t know
You can't expect a band to carry the same sound over 20 years. They're going to adapt to a new style whether they want to/mean to. You're going to have to accept that. It's not like Bush took a Metallica turn.
@PrimeMonthMay Actually, yes. I've been a fan of Bush since 1994 (I was 14 years old). I was was watching MTV's Buzz Bin (back when MTV was still a good channel) and happened to catch the video premiere for their first single "Everything Zen". Oasis' "Live Forever" (my favorite Oasis song) also premiered that week. Candlebox's "Far Behind" a bit before those. The early to mid 90's were an amazing time for rock music. It's a shame that MTV is no longer a creditable music channel.
i like the different styles on the new album it was not the best comeback, but come on guys, it's been ten years, you can't expect them to still sound (or even to want to sound) the same as back then by the way: the album was better then i expected :)
I love bush. I think there first 4 albums rock. There sound got different as each one came out. BUT I'm pretty let down by most of the tracks on this album. I mean it's a good rock album but it hardly even sounds like Bush for most part. The sound of Winter and this are the only two I would of slapped on my like status! I'm a huge fan of Gavin and of Bush and I like his solo work even better than most of this album :( I'm so sad lol
@JMGOODELL glycerine wasnt ruined maybe you were angry that other people got to know who they were because of that song glycerine.... i still love glycerine.... and am not affraid to share this band with the world... prefer to see them getting to attention they deserve then keeping them locked in a box where they make no money and crash and burn...
@thatonedude675 Bush did take a Metallica turn...in the same way. They both went to Bob Rock. Now, while I understand bands have to grow and mature, it doesn't mean they have to completely abandon what made them successful in the first place. They don't have to drop the heavy guitars and add electronic overtones. Bush really needs to go back to the basics and make a simple staright-forward rock album. Music has become way too over-produced again. Where's the raw sound? Buried in the mix.
This song actually blows my mind. its actually beautiful. Amazing.

Gorgeous song. Got it on iTunes the other day and am loving it.
pretty good song...takes me back a lil ways to a place I once thought I knew.:-(
When i heard this song, i feel like crying. Because, she is so amazing.. I dédicate this song to Eva. ♥
She saw the pieces of her yesterday
She was wondering how she’d fade away
Who loved her and really listened in
Whether she had made a difference
He’s a soldier (he’s a soldier) of misfortune
Seven steps to make one forward
How the truth hurts
The lies, they crystallize
Try to wrap your arms around a memory
Maybe you are not where you’re meant to be
Lord knows we’re not who we think we are
All night doctors
All night preachers
All night girls to get you through (get you through, get you through)
Lost and wasted
Hope is fading
I wait here for you
The secret life of our interiors
Whey most girls are superior
Everyday i’m on the slide for you and
Every night is the same i’m waiting
For the world to change
For all the fighting (for all the fighting) to die away
Find comfort in your memory
I’m not where i am meant to be
You shine the world stops
And gods are humbled
All night doctors
All night preachers
All night girls to get you through (get you through, get you through)
Lost and wasted
Hope is fading
I wait here for you (for you, for you)
Were you ever my love
Were you ever my love
I don’t know (i don’t know, i don’t know)
(I sense)
All night doctors
(Were you ever my love)
All night preachers
(Were you ever my love)
All night girls to get you through (get you through, get you through)
Lost and wasted
(Were you ever my love)
Hope is fading
(Were you ever my love)
I wait here for you (for you, for you)
Were you ever my love
Were you ever my love
I don’t know
Bellissima
my favorite of the album
This? This to me is considered the "Glycerine" of The Sea of Memories.

I seen them at Hershey Park or heard them lol
Love it!
Thanks!
Does anyone know if there is a video to this tune?
@bolch88bb8
Same with me. I didn't really like the new album at first but it grew on me.
Ok so its not 16stone or razorblade or golden state but still this is growing on me :)
When that distorted guitar comes in, I just think of Glycerine...
My favorite track on the album. I'm kind of selfish and hope it doesn't come out as a single and ruin it for me like they did with Glycerine. :/
