As an electrician, I can verify that a "male to male" plug actually has a use. It needs a cable that's a lot longer than shown in the Video tho. We used a plug like that in combination with a portable emergency electricity generator who only had one socket as output. We had a blackout so there was no electricity. We first turned off the fuse for the kitchen to separate the kitchen from the rest of the house and then plugged the "male" plug in the generator that was in front of the kitchen window and in one of the sockets in the kitchen. Then we turned on the generator an boom, we had electricity in all the sockets in the kitchen. Thanks to that we could keep the fridge and the freezer running so the food in it wouldn't go bad.
As a non electrician i like to think that if it was longer it'd be meant to make people trip

Dick, just the fact that the title line cuts off after a certain number of characters and they only use the authors last name on the sticker makes it end up that way... That said, it would make a great title for a saucy parody book. XD

Fahrenheit made sense when it was invented. 0 was the coldest day in winter ice was at 4 degrees (1/8 up the scale), human body temperature was 12 (3/8 up the scale) degrees, and the boiling point of water was 24 (3/4 up the scale). the highest known temperature on the scale was 64. (0 was below freezing, because they didn't want to be dependant on going into negative numbers)
then they multiplied everything by 8, making it a range of 0 to 256 instead of 0 to 64. Freezing point becoming 32, body temperature 96 and boiling point at 192... but wait, it's actually 212, I guess his boiling point was a bit off. and of course, although 64/256 were the highest points on the thermometer, it didn't mean you couldn't go beyond it.
Either way, even though it is a bit archaic today, it was revolutionary for it's time, as there were multiple specific measurable points (key ones being freezing point and body temperature) that you could calibrate it to, allowing manufacturers to make them all consistent and accurate.
