REGARDING THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES: A number of people have posted comments on this video stating that it was inappropriate to use the term third world countries to describe lower income countries, that it was inappropriate to link those countries with scams or scammers, or both. First of all, I did not know this would cause such a stir. For the future, I will avoid using the term third world countries. With regards to the fact that scams often come from these countries, I would maintain that in general there is a much higher level of scams coming from lower-income countries than they high-income countries they are targeting. However, I of course understand that most people living in low-income countries have nothing to do with online scams. I apologize for anyone who was hurt by the comment. Of course, I also understand that speaking english as a second language is difficult, and even natives make mistakes. However, I would maintain that as a general rule of thumb a good red flag to watch out for when concerned if something could be a scam online is to watch for incorrect grammar or spelling, among other red flags. This is the point I was trying to make during the user test, but commenters are correct I could have pointed this out without mentioning anything about lower-income or third world countries. I am sorry to anyone who was offended. I will do my best to do better in the future and I hope you find value in the video despite this issue.

Websites with poor grammar or visible spelling mistakes gives a very bad impression that the website was built with low effort, and probably made by people who are not trying the site for long, thus scammers are the first to come in mind. This is a very valuable feedback for website creators, and not to say, important to mention the thoughts that lead your mind, what you think of. And next, saying that probably the 3rd world countries get that English grammar wrong is also not wrong either, plus most of the statistics does indicate that majority of the scammers mostly resides in poor parts of the world, and the reasons are pretty obvious. However, your terminology "3rd world countries," is not an acceptable part of speech, since even that phrase itself is so, so ambiguous, let alone generalizing anything (even obvious stuff) based on it is bound to be disliked by many of us. Anyways, it's not your fault. The SO called TH-cam commenters have to learn to differentiate between Demo and other videos where speaker directly talks to them, and this was on the demo side and had to be shown true to the real. It's rather just some linguistic problem, so you don't need to apologize so deeply, again.
Thanks to you, I just got approved on my first try and I am not even a native speaker ! The key is to keep talking all time. When you feel you are not doing so good, just quit the test and start over. Personally, i took the test 7 times :)
This is an incredibly helpful video. The test is much more difficult and challenging than I thought it would be. Since most engine searches are something we do solo, talking non stop doesn’t come naturally at all while browsing through sites. This won’t be as easy as I hoped.

Great video. I have to remember for this for the exam: the pause button is my friend. If I am ever unclear on something or distracted by dogs or planes or loud neighbors, just hit that pause button and resume when things are better. I also was using the mic on the earbuds I use to talk on the phone with. I now have a cartioid condenser mic. Hopefully that will help block out surrounding noise and improve sound quality. Thanks!

I have took the screener for literally all the tests and out of the 30 that have been sent to me, I have only qualified for like 3 and of those after I click take test, it just tells me I wasn't fast enough....so stupid

@@chaneye21 after 3 days, I got in. But I still havent taken any test yet. I made sure to keep the screen on for any dings/ notifications and took the screeners but failed all of them. They were very specific in who they were finding for. I'm thinking of reapplying again/ or emailing them about it to change my address. To make it USA instead of the Philippines (I have an address in the US but not a US citizen) so I'll be more accessible to more tests. Because I got rejected in all and tests appear 2-3x per day and I feel like Im wasting my time waiting for it.
Don't worry about it, there are many similar services you can try even if you aren't able to get on UserTesting. If you want, you could even try Validately or UserFeel first to see if you will get accepted and use them as a practice for getting into UserTesting.

As I am a native English speaker from a primarily English speaking country, I have never done a test in another language, although tests have asked if I would be comfortable speaking another language and I have always had to answer no. UserTesting does state that your sample video needs to be in English and that most of the tests on the site are currently English testersupport.usertesting.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002070711-What-languages-can-I-speak-in-my-sample-video- That being said, I'm not sure what the situation is for Czech Republic testers right now and what the balance of language looks like in the appropriate tests.
i have tried taking the sample air and space museum test, and there are no tasks and no way to continue, it just says "if your not already on the air and space museum sight, click this link" im not sure whats going on
What I did was start the recorder and began browsing through the site, opening the different tabs, telling everything I was looking at, describing the different menus. When I thought I had said just about everything I had seen I stopped the recorder and then I got a task to open the museum floorplan, and answered some questions. I also got asked about the day the Museum doesn't open. I hope this helps you.

So again, I have never been paid by userfeel. By a paying test, I don't mean the entrance test. A paying test is just that: a usertest given once in the program

MY tips: 1) Clear and concise voice. No need for a super fancy microphone or anything, just make sure your voice is clear and easy to understand. 2) Address things that you do and don't like about the website/service, etc. This helps you to sound better and more professional 3) DO the tasks to the best of your ability. 4) Be quick and concise, but don't be so fast that the company isn't getting valuable input from you.

Probably not, no. They aren't looking for polish, they are looking for your first impressions and a "look inside you head" as you use the site.

Tristan Budiman took about 2 weeks. Overall I made $40 on user testing but there are hardly tests anymore.

When you press the upload and finish button, is this uploading audio or video? Because the audio does not record the pictures and text on the site, including your mouse movement, it is not possible to express your ideas clearly. This is my confusion. Thank you in advance.

They have an iOS app but not all the same tests will be available to you. You will only be able to do iOS specific tests
