    I am shamed to say I had this in my garage in a box for about 3 years... today I finally installed it all by myself (yes ME) and the help of two TH-cam videos yours and Chamberlin. Thanks!!!

    Good video, high production value if I may say so. I installed sectional doors and old school chain drive and screw drive openers back in the 1990's . I was just brushing up to make sure i get it right. Thanks bro it all fell into place except for the belt I would have screwed up the master link part.

    You forgot to release Chamberlain Belt Drive Garage Door Opener Spring Loaded Trolley Auto Adjust
    Also it's a Clevis pin.
    Lastly, being you're installing 2 GDO'S, ensure you install the sending (amber color) sensors from center pointing away from other door. This way, the receiving (green color) sensor doesn't attempt to receive the other GDO's sending (amber color) sensor.

    I noticed that is seems like you didn't install the battery backup until the very end. Will the opener function without the battery installed? I don't want a battery in mine, but you can't by them without backup batteries here in the People's Republic of California. If you leave the battery out, does the opener keep warning with lights, beeps or alerts?

    There is two things you could adjust the way you attach the stray door arm you did it incorrectly you’re supposed to put the door arm in the center between the two slots of the trolley and then you install the cotter pin and then depending you can shorten your door arm all the way down to the last hole or depending flip it around and you want your dorm to have a decent angle but a good thing to do is at least put this straight door are in between the two pieces of metal on the trolley

    Do you have to pay a subscription to use the camera? Also do you know if you can use Google to open and shut them free or do you have to subscribe?

    • @BYOTools
      @BYOTools 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't need a subscription for the camera to work but I think you do if you want the camera to record for extensive periods of time. It has its own app so the wifi is connected through that but I'll double check with google. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the video.

  • @zacksgaragedoorserviceandr1208
    @zacksgaragedoorserviceandr1208 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    If I let you know really great video but if you wanna know a few tips you do not need the door arms to be so far out like that you can actually have the door arms closer in to the door and if you worry about neatness you can cut off the actual door arm to make it look good and then with the safety sensors you actually want to leave about a foot of wire and you want to pigtail it because if something gets caught on the safety sensor wiring you will pull it out But if you do not have any more wire in the garage door opener then leave it as is but if you have plenty of wire just do the step backwards and add that and then you will be set to go

    • @BYOTools
      @BYOTools 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @zacksgaragedoorserviceandr1208
      @zacksgaragedoorserviceandr1208 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually looked at the video again actually you have your straight door arm installed incorrectly it’s not supposed to be installed on the outside of the trolley is supposed to put it in the center between the two holes can you slide the cotter pin for one hole through the door arm and threw the other hole So the way you have your door arm Installed you can move the holes all the way down to the last pair then mark off with a little marker at the end of the straight piece of the door arm and cut it with a hacksaw or a angle grinder then you won’t have to worry about it going through the door or hitting your head on it and then on the opener there is a stop bolt that you’re supposed to install

    • @zacksgaragedoorserviceandr1208

      And on the second garage door opener you installed you put the emergency release handle upside down

    Yes, you did get paid by Chamberlain, in the form of two free $300+ garage door openers. I'll make the assumption that you don't need to send them back.

    • @BYOTools
      @BYOTools 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And I'll make the assumption that you knew what type of payment I was referring to Gazzlo. Yes you can consider free product a form of payment but please know I handle brand partnerships very seriously. A brand that provides free product vs a brand that provides free product and payment may have very different requirements on what I say and how the video is presented to the audience. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with Chamberlain on this project but since they are only providing free product that means they have no input on what is presented to my audience and you are getting the truest sense of how I feel about the product. Hope that makes sense and thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video to.
