I bought a Pure Wings 2 2000rpm PWM 120mm high-speed to use as a second fan when my BQ!PR2FX arrives next week. I have little clue what I am doing and hope that it is a good combination and that it works right and plugs up easily. I'm wondering what it will take to ensure that the included ARGB fan and the additional Pure Wing are in sync.
I'm running Pure Rock FX 2 with 1 fan at normal default motherboard cpu speeds ! I'm getting 70-75c on heavy gaming sessions....Should i get another light wing fan to put on the cooler and use it with 2 fans? Will i see some decrease in temps or is it an overkill? Maybe i'm overthinking it and my temps are okay, i'm not sure since i only built the system 3 days ago...I never saw temps going over 75c ! On cinebench R23 i get 97-100 with the single fan at normal speed ! Thanks in advance !
I have no idea what exact CPU you are using, but generally 70-75 are absolutely okay. You can always get another fan. It might not give you an extreme performance boost, but it you can push the RPM down significantly = a lot less noise
the bridge was a tad annoying, this was my first ever tower cooler install, the "screw either side down" was my gripe, I did not know how tight, manual stated "tight" but the more I tightened the more I felt I was squishing the CPU, I settled for a non moving stack/ just tight and luckily my temps have been spot on 73 max under load (3dmark), 39 idle & mid 40 gaming.✌

@@DLoad21 from what i know they are indeed 155mm so with an 161mm case you should be ok! I saw a video with a guy having issues to fit this cooler in an Lian Li O11 case that states it can hold up to 155mm. And the pegs on the top were stoping the side glass panel . The verdict said that Lian Li had wrong measurements. But if that was the case for him your case with 161mm will perfectly ok. Hope this comes on time and not too late
i bought this cooler yeah it is silence and locks nice but perform really bad on a 5800x3d (105 TDP) even with undervolting to 95 Watt, idle temp 45_60c and 75_83 c while gaming with 80% speed fan ( i have even installed another fan at other side it does not help) yes 83c is not bad it dose not trottle but i dont like it it must be under 80c while gaming. probably i have to replace it with a better cooler Couse in summer it will get much worse
I was impressed by the Temperatures on my sons Ryzen 7 3700X, so i bought one for my R 7 5700X too. The 3700X goes to a maximum temperature of 67℃ using Cinebench my newer 5700X goes to 87℃ 😲 but it is way better than the wraith prism cooler that reaches 93℃ 🥵.
How is the overclocking? I got a ryzen 5700x also but i didt instaled it yet i am still looking for a good cooler, i am also looking at the cooler master hyper turbo rgb
@@bachir5767 I enabled PBO in the bios and the cinebench score is now 14638 and before it was 14523. I used a cooler master hyper 212 in a old Phenom system and it is one of the best air coolers you can get.

Honestly, not sure, I never tested the Pure wings on their own, only in combination with a cooler. Though I doubt it

Actually it will take close to nothing. Just set the same mode in software and it will take care of it for you.
