In this week's episode of the League Express Podcast, Editor Martyn Sadler and Host Jake Kearnan are joined by Former France Rugby Union Defensive Coach David Ellis to discuss the importance of teaching kids how to tackle from a young age to reduce the risk of concussion. They also discuss David's playing and coaching career which saw him win multiple six-nations titles with France and reach the 2011 World Cup Final as a coach. They also preview this weekend's Challenge Cup fixtures. - กีฬา
Compulsive listening - Absolutely excellent
great listen as always flown round quick as the podcast again
Dave Ellis, an unsung genius with a Yorkshire physog. Excellent programme this week.
Another great guest with very good knowledge of both codes of the game keep it up.
Ps thank you for getting Clint Goodchild on
Yes, it is a mistake. My lad plays in under 7s but he was a few months of playing under 8s and they play contact. Well looking forward to him not learning to tackle then getting concussion straight away when he plays against kids who’ve had 10 years tackle practice when he’s older. Should be teaching good tackle technique, not just assuming that’ll happen naturally when they get old enough to do themselves some damage
No ball playing forwards but Asiata? Cameron Smith is one of the best passers of a a ball in the league. Westerman is a proper ball playing 13. Minchella is a good ball player too. Openly admit you’re not a fan of superleague and follow it up with ignorant analysis.
odd choice of guest... I have no interest in Rugby Union
He is also a rugby league coach
