I don't see it changing as well, But i have noticed a difference in how my apps has not allowed me to watch a lot of movies and TV shows since the update to the firestick

First off excellent video I'm not dunking anything that you're saying at all but I did see a video of someone with the new echo show that it looked like Vega was on it and the apps were very limited I feel like we are safe for now but when they decide to shoot themselves in the foot and supposedly use this new Vega operating system on their fire TVs they will be losing me as a customer and probably millions and millions of other customers as well it just does not make logical sense for them to do this even if they are testing out Vega on other devices I really hope it fails because I really like how it is now just my opinion thanks so much for doing this video

I am sure they will use Vega on certain devices like the Echo show and maybe some mobile devices like tablets maybe. Steaming devices are a whole different thing. I don't think Amazon knew in advance how popular the firestick would be when they first created it; mainly (in my opinion) to the ability to install 3rd Party apps. Now they do know however, and I don't see them killing that cash cow overnight.

I bought fire tablet vega is all ready on it and you can't put 3 rf party on it so it's all ready begun.
I tried every possible way to put Kodi on it
It's blocked.
And downloader is removed as well.

This video is about Firesticks, not tablets. They are very different things. But even so, the older (existing) Fire Tablets aren't getting Vega. They keep their original OS, which is the point I was making that existing devices will be fine for the foreseeable future. That said, there have been a lot more troubling changes by Amazon that a lot of people aren't happy about since this video dropped. I guess time will tell.

They are capable, for sure; but they like money too much to do this overnight.

I think Amazon is getting pressure from other media companies to close this loophole. Amazon makes almost no money from fire devices since most people buy the lowest cost devices for jailbreaking and don’t use them for Amazon services.
Also Google has pushed Fushsia to old devices so it’s possible if they really plan to.

Maybe, but I feel Amazon is making plenty of money in many ways. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Either way, things will remain more or less the same for at least 3 more years.

The one thing that stuck out to be with the OS updates is that no matter which Firestick you use, updates will be available until 2027. This tells me that if they are indeed planning on changing out the OS on the Firestick, it will be starting around 2026, so we still have a few years yet with the current set up.

To be honest, I prefer an Android box over a firestick. Been using a firestick for many years to sideload and decided to try an Android box and I won’t go back. Runs much smoother and faster for my iptv and program I use for tv shows and movies

I was the opposite. I had been using Android boxes for a few years and kept getting annoyed by the constant lagging in different apps, so tried the Firestick. The only lag issue I have had with Firestick was with Plex, and that was easily fixed by changing the streaming speed setting within Plex itself.

First off Android is a Linux OS as well as it runs on a Linux Kernel. Switching to Vega does not necessarily mean incompatibility with the apps. They are going from Linux to Linux! The only difference would be the GUI that sits on the Linux Kernel itself. I do not see this as a major issue at all.
