The biggest area for improvement I see with new players is that they're not great at healing. When you're on low health your instinct is usually to sit back and play safe, but in ultrakill you actually want to get closer(or rather, stay back until you see a safe window and then rush in and attack). You seem to mostly want to heal by punching, but this isn't a great way of healing. Generally, attacks that do more damage heal more. The charged revolver shot and point blank shotgun shots are two good ways of healing. Parrying of course gives a full heal, but it's risky and isn't very reliable since it's dependent on the enemy actually attacking you.
On avoiding damage: Sliding is free and fast but you need to be grounded and can still be hit. You can use it to move out of the way of stuff or go fast. Dashing gives you brief *invincibility* and can be done any time but costs stamina (1 bar of 3). You can use it to go *through* attacks, or dodge in the air. Parrying will *refill your stamina* and your health instantly. Almost everything can be parried, it's very rare that you can't. How I think of it is Slide to *not get hit*, Dash to *go through the hit*, or Parry to refill and *send the hit back*. It's worth spending some time in the Sandbox (from the yellow terminal or at the bottom of chapter select) to screw around with all the things you can do in the game in a controlled environment. You can spawn any enemies you've seen, turn on infinite ammo/health etc. etc.
I think now we be a good time to tell you that the ultrakill community calls: Malicious Face: Maurice Cerberus: Andre (sometimes) Current final boss: Benjamin Also btw nailgun traps work by shooting nails at them (they are called magnets for a reason)
ULTRAKILL IS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME EVER YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE ULTRAKILL AAWHAWJHAWKA. also a tip for the coins: they always move the way your moving, so if you try to move in a straight line or stand still; honestly any form of movement where your not speeding up or slowing down, just at a constant velocity, the coin will be SUPER easy to hit. if your being barraged with attacks and your movement becomes chaotic and changing constantly, then the coin becomes near impossible to hit. My favorite thing about this game is the level of experimentation you can preform. can you punch your own coins into enemies? YES. can you parry your own shotgun bullets right after firing it? YES. can you flip a coin and switch to the peircer and charge a powerful beam and hit the coin? YES. can you lay multiple magnets and then use the jumpstart variation of the nailgun to create a warzone of electric blasts? YES. all of these can be done with just the weapons you currently have (except for the jumpstart since u havent bought it yet lmao)
You beat cerberous faster than me on my first try, and at a serious disadvantage. Genuinely really impressive gameplay! (Parrying a cerb is a big accomplishment for a lot of people too)
Literally the first person I've seen play this game who's realized you could parry cerberus's orb throw without doing it by accident or hearing it from someone else.
Btw dashing gives invincibility frames so you can dodge your own explosions . Also big floating head is immune to your explosive projectiles and the flamethrower guy can parry your explosive projectiles. You can read about this in the terminal entries but it’s a lot of yapping.
Tip: Utilize all of the weapons that you have. All of the weapons have uses, including the starter one. That's how you be more stylish and gain more points to buy new weapons faster. There is a lot of tech revolving around all of these weapons as well, which makes everything die faster. Switch weapon variants with E and weapons with the number keys.
Fun thing about the Sawed On: If you hold RMB with it you can use it as a chainsaw and obliterate everything. It's really fun but it stops hard damage from recovering so keep that in mind.

Keep on that, dude. You're doing great. That last level you played is certainly hard and long af. But as long as you learn the patterns of the enemy spawning, you'll be fine. Parrying and killing with any weapon will grant you health. Just make sure that, while dealing damage, you get splashed by that blood. Parrying on the other hand has unlimited range and it gives you full health capped by your hard damage bar. Marksman is tricky to use. Going sideways while throwing the coin is a bad idea, it has momentum. Avoid that. But certainly marksman is one of the best weapons, specially against those nuisance of streetcleaners (Flamethrowers), if the shot is done right. It takes practice and patience. same with the sharpshooter, the red revolver. Always try to take the shot directly towards a wall as you may know, the shot bounces. Also, try to shoot at one of the red projectiles of the enemies with that revolver, it does a funny magic trick. In the next levels, make sure to read the tips of the day in the yellow terminals, they're very useful. Keep parrying while using the primary fire of the shotgun, you'll learn something cool. And also, knowing the marksman's coins have momentum, you might want to check if you can punch those coins by some movement method ;) The sawed-on shotgun is specially good if you just keep pressing the right click. You can also parry the sawblade, but it's kind of tricky, deals good damage, tho.
7:25 - oh man; that's how it goes. this is good game design. just avoiding enemies are super simple and easy; you stop shooting to focus on observing the movement and dodging. when you add to the movement switching weapons and shooting you have to multitask; that changes the whole picture, because now you want to dodge; but dodging is too fast to aim properly, so you have to stop dodging to shoot, then dodge, then do it faster, until you trip on yourself.
After watching your vids, I'm gomma give you some more beginners tips -Checking the terminal or the yellow screen before the door. Usually it has a tip of the day, and most of the tips might be useful for beginners like you -When it comes to the Marksman revolver/ Coin shot, if you shoot the coin in the first 0.5-1 second or while the coin in falling down, it will make your bullet target 2 enemies at once. -Healing, note that it does not matter what weapon you use to heal, all you need to do is to DOUSE YOIRSELF IN FRESH BLOOD, aka being close enough to the enemy while making them bleed, shotgun works best for this
Huge tip but might ruin your experience slightly(on the shotgun): if you shoot your shotgun and parry just milliseconds afterwards you perform a Projectile boost and it explodes on impact. huge damage.

Optimally you could be doing this for a few weapons in the game, you can infinitely chain all revolvers into shotguns into a single rocket shot then to the other 2 again.
If you press F at the right time after pressing M1 with the normal shotgun you will parry the bullet, it will make it explosive and faster, and if you dash at the right moment after exploding wirh the pumpcharge (green shotgun) Will make you not take damage
remember, you don't need to just PUNCH them to get blood. The more violent the weapon, the more blood you get.... Another note, machines and demons all bleed the same blood
If you dodge and then immediately fire the overcharged shotgun, you avoid the damage, receive health, and do a ton of damage. It’s very good for hitting hard to hit enemies
starter tips: You can punch the buckshot from shotgun to make it explosive, you can punch the coin from marksman pistol and stack the damage if you time your punches right, you can hit the core eject grenade to make it more explosive with the pistol and also more damage, you can hit a coin with any hit scan weapon, you can dash out of the explosion range of overcharge by dashing first and then letting the explosive out, you can b hop in this game by holding slide and then jump and then slide again repeat that max: 71 - 73 speed, you can try to slam in a wall and then jump at the same time if it done correctly you will have the slam aura in every direction you look and when you jump in the ground you will go high as the core nuke [I will explain how to core nuke if you have the malware cannon/malicious rail cannon] also if you instead slide jump [normal sliding will just make it slower] it will instantly make you go to max speed but you have to time the slide jump perfectly and then you can just slide jump and repeat that until you reach you destination place, the red shotgun chainsaw can be punched over and over time to make it bounce over and over until you stop repeating the same movement you did also you can make the chainsaw go bounce of the wall by hitting it with a knuckle blaster [I will explain what does the knuckle blaster do] and also nothing really much for the nail gun you can make traps using the magnetic harpoon and you can also make enemy burn using the overheat alt ability and for the nail gun red variant aka jump start you can attach a electric cable into an enemy and over time if you damage the enemy it will make the electric stronger until it broke and dealing decent junk of damage and also the overheat if the oxygen type thing in the nail gun reaches to full charge the fire rate of the normal shot is lowered and also it has infinite ammo and for the jump start it has infinite ammo It doesn't charge like overheat did and not lowered the fire rate but instead Its still gonna keep the base speed of the nail and also and also it has lower damage same with over heat and the attractor nail gun has more damage and speed and also I forgot something is that the jump start when you shoot the electric cable the fire rate will rise up almost the same speed I think with the attractor nail gun and btw you can change weapon while the enemy is still being stuck with the electric cable and ALSO the cable has a range limit and also the speed limit and for the the speed limit I think its 41 speed and for the range limit of the cable is probably 1 stray and a filth and that is all I know for a starter tips also I got something for you Pump charge shotgun: you should reset you character NOW V1: *dies*
Another tip : shooting Maurices (the floating heads) projectiles with a charged sharpshooter shot will cause them to explode, if you time this right, its instakill
Remember you can switch to diffrent wepons anytime you want and each weapon has there own strengths and weeknesses but all of the weapon can be used at anytime, also sticking close to your enemy can be risky alot but you can get healed from it, also you can buy different types of weapons that you can switch to mid fight so don't shy from spending the points
yo if you punch your shotguns bullets it explodes and can kill groups of filth edit: just don't use it on the stone faces that are flying cuz they resistant to explosions and you can also snipe strays (the red guys that shoot at you) you can also shotgun swap by pressing the button for the next weapon variant as soon as you shoot to skip the reload time

A quick tip to help you since you seem to really like the shotgun; Try parrying at the same time firing your shotgun at enemies for a cool (and powerful) attack. >_O You can also heal much better than with the shotgun with the Piercer's charge attack (Blue revolver)
Oh wow, I was expecting to wait about a week but you must enjoy ultrakill, Im glad you got time to play. This game is how I found your channel and I watched you playing zeekers' games (lego fortnite was fun aswell, have you played since that video?)

@@maccloni you could try practicing with different weapons to test which has let's out bigger blood amounts, things like shotgun have lots of bullets so they produce more blood than a railgun which is concentrated into one point You're really good for a first timer, you could try practicing movement though, as you're still a bit stiff there. Easiest movement that gives lots of speed is sliding for a second for momentum, then stopping and jumping. Weapons with explosions can boost you if you're willing to sacrifice some health.
He is NOT ready for the judge of hell let alone the former one if you have trouble with the cerberus. Though, you can just learn about how to effectively kill them (Cerberus is weak against cannonballs, though the cannonballs are introduced as a variant of a gun WAAAYYYY later.
a few tips: you can punch your shotgun pellets to make them explode on impact. you can run up and parry the big head's laser attack when it gives a yellow "flash", and anything with a yellow flash can be parried. if you toss a coin at the right time, you can reflect the big head's laser attack back in to it for a one-shot kill.
U can dash before u over pump green shotgun to avoid getting damaged. Also search up coin mechanics. U will be amazed of how many crazy shit u can do with coins
by the way about the coin, when you initially throw it, it inherits your momentum so if you're moving forward it'll go forward if you go back it'll go back. If you want any better info then you could watch a tutorial if you're really interested
Quick tip: for the love of god please use your revolver, in ultrakill its treated like another weapon instead of some last resort like every other game tends to do
Also parry more often, that shi can save ur life Nvm i spoke too soon, u gotta learn weapon combinations, and the green revolver is the main base of combinations
By the way, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend you go through your first time on standard. The standard of this game is equivalent of GMGOW or NO MERCY in other games. Violent is a bit much for people literally just starting out.
I probably am crazy for starting off on violent but I like to challenge myself. Also since I recorded part 3/4, I’ve been LABBING (training) in the cybergrind mode. Probably gonna switch to the sandbox mode tho and spawn enemies there so I dont accidentally spoil myself by seing a new enemy (if thats possible in cybergrind)
@@maccloni Here´s 2 things: You can parry drones (when you defeat them) and in cerberus you can just ground-slam them continually and get an easy p-rank
Really big thing you should know btw : Each weapon has a freshness meter (located directly below the style meter) that multiplies the style gained from using a weapon, based on how used it is. For example: Fresh - 1.5x Used - 1.0x Stale - 0.5x Dull - 0.0x It’s best to use fresh weapons to gain a lot of style points, which gains you points for the shop and really helps reach the style margin for P-ranks. cya

I think you’re the first person I’ve seen that learned the marksman (coin gun) so early in their playthrough
a few tips:
you can punch your shotgun pellets to make them explode on impact.
you can run up and parry the big head's laser attack when it gives a yellow "flash", and anything with a yellow flash can be parried.
if you toss a coin at the right time, you can reflect the big head's laser attack back in to it for a one-shot kill.
by the way the "big head" in question is the malicious face
oh also big head is immune to explosions
U can dash before u over pump green shotgun to avoid getting damaged. Also search up coin mechanics. U will be amazed of how many crazy shit u can do with coins
Hint
Pick shotgun
Shoot and parry at same time
Then boom
Projectile boost :)
by the way about the coin, when you initially throw it, it inherits your momentum so if you're moving forward it'll go forward if you go back it'll go back. If you want any better info then you could watch a tutorial if you're really interested
Good vid, very nice
dude you're already pretty good at the game
he has no idea how much hes gonna suffer tru v2.....
caught core ejecting maurice
you can parry your own shotgun bullets
One of the best games for the best streamers ever!
Appreciate you lorenzo ✨🫡
Try thinking of your slide as as sprint
you can parry basically anything (including your own shotgun pellets wink wink)
Quick tip: for the love of god please use your revolver, in ultrakill its treated like another weapon instead of some last resort like every other game tends to do
u can parry the shotgun shells by shooting the shotgun and clicking f in the same time
ULTRANI-
Hey sir!, did you know you can parry your own shotgun bullets to make them explode?
I for sure do now! 🫡
Yeah i want some

A Tip for you my man : get close to the enemies .
Coins inherit momentum try moving in a straight line when flinging them
Also parry more often, that shi can save ur life
Nvm i spoke too soon, u gotta learn weapon combinations, and the green revolver is the main base of combinations
Lmfaooo you funny asf 😭
ultrakill mfs after watching the 10057th video on it (fire vid btw)
Just saying... you can hit the coins with any weapon you want... including your fists...
This man sayin it difficult wait till he fights minos 😂
Has anyone told him hé can parry his shotgun shells yet?
I wish you good luck on 1-4
By the way, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend you go through your first time on standard.
@@maccloni yeah, you can find enemies from up to act III in the cyber grind, so sandbox is prolly better
Also dont get overwhelmed at all the people giving random advice, playing the game at your own pace/style is best
aye by the way go for p ranks so u can unlock secret levels
Amazing gameplay, one day you´ll p-rank all
One day 🙏🏾✨
@@maccloni Here´s 2 things: You can parry drones (when you defeat them) and in cerberus you can just ground-slam them continually and get an easy p-rank
PLEASE use the revolvers as well. EVERY weapon is viable.
I don't think you're gonna like fighting V2 bro
Really big thing you should know btw :
Each weapon has a freshness meter (located directly below the style meter) that multiplies the style gained from using a weapon, based on how used it is. For example:
Fresh - 1.5x
Used - 1.0x
Stale - 0.5x
Dull - 0.0x
It’s best to use fresh weapons to gain a lot of style points, which gains you points for the shop and really helps reach the style margin for P-ranks.
cya
Oh that's what it meant.
I guess that I'm gonna have an easier time p-ranking 5-3
wait till you get to 1-4 😈
Or any boss after lol
hello again good sir.

try punching your own shotgun pellets sometime
