Anyone else picturing Papa Nurgle on his front porch in a swamp of putrescence with his giant pot bubbling nearby just letting a new plague fester for a bit to hit that premium decay level? While he's just rocking back and forth on his chair he's just strummin' and singin' to his followers.
I read a story somewhere (I think it was official), about a nurgle invasion bringing with it a kind of music plague that drove regular people insane and then turned them into plague walkers with thick bones consumed by the music. The main character had to have earplugs in. I don't remember what the story was called, but I think I remember very good writing. They made that feel decently sinister, with characteristic Nurgle vibes to the invasion.
Nurgle is just so wholesome (when you get through the disgusting bits), and he's my favorite of all the Chaos Gods in 40k. Sure, he's spreading disease and plagues left, right, and center, but it's his only way to show love. Such as when his son, Ku'gath, fell into his pot and drank up most of the liquid, Nurgle's first reaction was to show love and adoration for the boy who drank and survive his concoction. His son didn't think he deserved the praise and love, but he 100% does. Hell, during the rise of Slaanesh and their slaughter of the pantheon, it was Nurgle and his children who bore Isha away to safety because he loved her. Canonically, she's in his realm and tells her followers, through whispers so as to not bring trouble to her, of how to survive and conquer every new plague the Lord of Rot concocts. I'm sure he knows she tells people how to fight it, but doesn't stop her. It's a game with his loved one, after all. Losing or winning means nothing to him, because he just enjoys it all.
I'm very new to W40k lore, so I get terrified every song because I don't want to miss the mark, these songs are as much for me as they are for fans of the lore. Reading comments like this give me so much relief lmao

But I've played enough tabletop games of fantasy settings, and mythologically inspired settings (like Scion from White Wolf), to have a fun appreciation for the mystical, anthropomorphized embodiment of decay and entropy. From the various gods of death being portrayed in every aspect, to all kinds of stuff.
Ts'thogga is basically just a more malevolent Nurgle, I'd say. If I was to guess, you're either using him, that one orc god, or homwbrew. Best wishes on your campaign.
Perfect tone for Grandpoppa Nurgle. Just hits right on how you could see him sitting on the porch of his swamp side shack, flicking out a tune, as the rancid water bubbles and the plague-flies buzz along. Way to go.

As a new Warhammer fan (around 3 years) the gods are something still fascinating to me in every way. Nurgle, is by far, my absolute favorite. His unconditional love for the natural way of life, and the encompassing passion he has for every motal thing is something so wholesome and almost innocent. Fiction or not, nurgle has given me a love and passion aswell for the fact of mortality. And this song is an amazing visualization of the love Nurgle has to give.
Emh.... Nurgle gains his power not from the simple cycle of nature, he gains power by the despair souls experience when nearing death. The moment a soul reach a point of total desperation, a pain of the mind (not of the body to be clear) so high that the victim just lose all fears and hope and just stop carying about itself, that's the emotion that feeds nurgle. His love is for the ones that are drowned into the pit of despair and emerge as a voided husk of flesh which purpose is simply to rot decay and nurture new diseases to spread the poxes that will infect new victims.
The theme song for a fungal mage. I genuinely believe in these lyrics (not in Nurgle as I had to look him up). Death is not to be feared. It completes the cycle to bring life again.
This song cooks so fucking hard. The visuals are perfect. The lyrics are both singable AND within lore. May you join the Death Guard, brother, and feel Nurgle's love.

Ok full verbal tirade here on how you nailed the Chaos gods Nurgle: IMO the best one you made. It's slow, happy tune, the singer calm and happy to explain the glory of Nurgle, and the body/verbal horror of Nurgle on your corporeal form is front and centre (and Nurgle is the most obvious and visually repulsive of all gods). But Nurgle is in a very twisted way happiest and the most friendly god in the Four, to his followers only though, and he's not above enjoying tormenting those who displease or fail him (big fail though). The images are PERFECT, full-on decay and rot and flies and all is green with the sickness. The fact that it got over 250k views is ENTIRELY deserved and most fitting chaos themed song I heard and most likely even will. Tzeentch: I feel you had most fun on that one. Full on acid trip, fast paces and dynamic. Also strangely fitting for Tzeentch since while he screws everyone including himself on daily basis he actually respects those who can make their own fate, to bring about change. Also a small anedote not sure if it's cannon but one day Tzeetch noticed a little mortal girl got somehow into his Crystal maze. Tzeentch didn't know how she got there and was even more bamboozled that the little girl managed to find her way out. He didn't do anything to her and made sure she got home safe and considered this a new and interesting experience since his maze was solved by a normal human girl, confirming his interest and how amazing every mind can be. The fact that the images heavily feature changing and impossible scenery is also helping :) Slaanesh: The fact that it's more of Slaanesh seducing the mortal than a solo song is brilliant and completely honest since Slaanesh is full on being as selfish as possible, Slaanesh being distorted and seductive is also on brand since Slaanesh takes form on what the viewer considers perfection. Slaanesh doesn't care about anything other than being entertained and if you can accomplish that by indulging yourself above all else, even Slaanesh, it's good chance he/she/it will fully support you. Also the part about "With each new high, a void to fill" encapsulated Slaanesh perfectly since you taste new and delightful sensations but eventually it doesn't bring the same high and joy and you have to seek new sensations driving you deeper into Slaanes's embrace (also reason why most worshippers fall both into sadism AND masochism). You know what you're going into but at that point you don't care. The background of, women, vibrant colours, art and excessive feast with more glasses of alcohol appearing are fully in line with the theme of indulgence and hedonism. Khorne: here I have a little gripe though it's only my preference and don't know how popular is it with the general public. While the screaming Blood for the Blood God and such is full on Khorne it takes you out a bit from the rhyth and pace of the song. It's more noticeable since the song itself is fast paced, very energetic, hard note and very rhythmic (more of the thing that the song is so good that the bit sticking out is all that more noticeable :D). Khorne being honest about how his followers are his slaves and kill anything from children to elderly and everything in between fully shows the brutality and hypocrisy of Khorne since he demands "worthy" battle and only the skulls of finest warriors please Khorne to add them to his throne (though enough of a slaughter can please Khorne same as a climactic battle of epic proportion between two great warriors, only the latter is more pleasing to Khorne than the former). Otherwise the fact that it's the shortest song is a stroke of bliliance since Khorne is incredibly basic: kill, maim, butcher, take skull, and spill blood and Khorne is pleased, nothing more is required. All in all all songs are a treat to listen to. If you've read it all I'm sorry for the suffering I brought to you (but I'm sure some Chaos god enjoyed it) :D P.S. Also will you make Warhammer fantasy themed songs too? Since Total War Warhammer 3 is surprisingly faithful to the source material and could be a source of inspiration and I think some people would be thrilled about "Faith, steel and gunpowder", Karl Franz of r your take on some fantasy characters (Malekith, Morathi, Tyrion, Archeon etc.)
Please can a death company song be made in this relaxed version…. I am busy with a custom chapter and really would love to be able to use it as their theme… Love your work guys!

Ok full verbal tirade here on how you nailed the Chaos gods
Nurgle: IMO the best one you made.
The fact that the images heavily feature changing and impossible scenery is also helping :)
Slaanesh: The fact that it's more of Slaanesh seducing the mortal than a solo song is brilliant and completely honest since Slaanesh is full on being as selfish as possible, Slaanesh being distorted and seductive is also on brand since Slaanesh takes form on what the viewer considers perfection.
If you've read it all I'm sorry for the suffering I brought to you (but I'm sure some Chaos god enjoyed it) :D
Please add this to apple music so I can play all of your 40k music while driving
I’m on Apple Music, check out Embrace the Rot by Endless Taverns
Please can a death company song be made in this relaxed version…. I am busy with a custom chapter and really would love to be able to use it as their theme…
Love your work guys!
