Actually, there is a difference between a "Clip" and a "Magazine". Clip are meant to hold a row of rounds and feed into a magazine. The clip is discarded. While a Magazine is meant to hold rounds and protect them from the elements. Magazines aren't meant to be discarded. Pretty much 90% of all firearms in the modern world are Magazine Fed. Far easier to carry Mags than it is to carry clips. Plus a bit safer.
Example: The M1 Grand is a Clip fed firearm. Also, due how the mechanism to load a Grand top loaded. You run the risk of getting an injury humbly dubbed "Grand Thumb" Pretty much the breach snaps into place and smashes your thumb. If you are not quick enough. Plus, a Grand makes that iconic "PING!" sound when discharging a spent click. No, other firearm can match it.
As for Magazines. Seriously, just look at any modern battle rifle. Even handguns. While Revolvers exist. They are a different beast.
So. Magazines you slap. Clips you snap...or whatever I just made that up on the spot of writing this.
*Bows* Apologizes being all gun nerd. My information is not 100% accurate, I know this. But, it is the best way I can explain it. As I know it. So yes, there is a difference between Clips and Mags. Then, let us not forget Belts! Belts are fun.
