- I don't own the copy-write on this tune. I'm uploading because I love the music. All respect to the person who made and owns this.
All taken from my old VHS tapes hence the quality. I used to record the music I liked at the time, from Top of the Pops and The Chart Show, Dance Energy etc
1990 UK what a time to exist in. Troop tracksuits and trainers, travel fox trainers, Fila, Mash clothing, soul 2soul t shirts, the rave scene, multi cultures combining. What a shitshow the UK is now
Too right! totally the same here. what fun we had
Rave culture brought everyone together. The government tried to shut it down because it didn't make them money.
This show, music and people just don't exist now.
No youth movements since this just social media dystopia.
Don't forget E"s🙂
Travel fox. Omg and British knights.
You forgot Chipie clothing 😮
Ragga twins still killing it to this day. Aged like a fine wine.
They look so youthful in this video
the fellas and the ladies looking so fly in that 90s drip!
Nowadays its gun talk, selfies, smart phones, standing and gazing, no smoking and replica clothes from this era hahahahahaha. We lived the highlife back then!!!
:) best times
I f’ing loved the Ragga Twins! Reggae Owes Me Money was a massive album.
Hooligan 69 and 18” Speaker live rent free in my head.
This is the liveliest performance dance energy ever had!
amazing hey
@@webm8music Tears to the eyes! When youth used to dance!!!

Remember getting me nan to record dance energy on her betamax..... 😂😂
Wow takes me back.
Miss the 90s and these moves.
Dance energy....Great memories. Homework needed to be done by 6 pm to watch 😂
Taped this on our vhs .Better Vibez
Big tune! Ragga Twins still smashing it to this day!
Still got my vinyl of this!!
Takes me back to my youth!
Some heavy trainers about in those days.....Fila Fitness, Champions, Patrick Ewings, Air Maxes (which ard still about).
OMG SPLIIIFFF EDDD HAHAHAH .. THOSE WERE THE DAYS .. WHHAT AA CHOONN ... *ragga twins de bout* no mobile phones .. all came together and party .. dance energy one of the best program for music back in the day .. use to also watch solid soul
it was an amazing show, so fresh and nothing like it. great times
Daam, the music , the clothes, the vibe
wasn't it all amazing back then. the music was so fresh and new, nothing like it. The clothes were defo of their time lol but so cool at the time
Dj Ron's interview on the London Sum'ting Podcast with Deman Rocker brought me here. Roots of Jungle bizness!
fantastic, not heard the podcast, hope it was good
Pretty sad when you compare the Dance Energy audience to the Boiler Room crowd only 20 years later. We had it so good then...
The Boiler Room audience is nothing like the Eskimo Dance audience. The key word what Boiler Room is missing is *dance*.
***** Well amen to that!....Spot on....I thought that myself, they aint got a clue. Dead as a doe doe.....joke. This is a classic clip...reminds me of the club scene in London through the 90's...the brothers were always the best movers...hip hop...jazz...new jack moves....Great days...etched in my mind forever!..peace
swift cee I was lucky to experience Raving Culture before it became this sort of Glastonbury feel. The best years for Raving for me was during the UK Garage/Dark Garage and Jungle/Drum & Bass era. Grime changed the Dark Garage vibes...no girls lol.
*****
1988 - 1995?
That was the Acid House to Jungle years. Not my Raving time.
SUAD, (PJ & Smiley) on the decks....noice!
Omg remember this like yesterday, absolutely brilliant times ,check that crowd just vibing up the place ,missed times bless up all 👊🏾
Watched this first time around on dance energy. Ragga twins used to play once a month at a place called Frazzles in Walton where I used to live. It was a bit like a youth club for older teenagers. Always had my nafnaf body warmer, blue chillies with the tucks and Champ boots
bless I remember
O my days seeing those fila boots brings bk memories I had a red suede pair in my raving days ❤
Wow I forgot about this show - amazing best times best music best jokes ❤❤❤
it was amazing, wasn't it. such a great atmosphere and topics. Never missed a show, shame i only have a few recorded
Saturday the 28th of September anyone!? Never again will there be a decade like this!
80s and 90s rocked for music
They put Hackney on the map!! Me was soooo proud!! Never forget this era!! RTC FOR LIFE BIG UP TO THE MAX!!!
Good old days, u would never see people dancing like this now a days.

Love T the Oldskool Rollin-Raver ♿ 👊 ❤ #MusicIsMyMedication #CantWalkJustDance
The best when it all started 4me on my journey respect 🙏 bless
Chipie jeans and British Knights ... I as there 👊👊
People went crazy for Chippie jeans! I remember they were so expensive back in the days. They used to sell them at a shop called Swank in Old Compton Street, Soho London.
Wadud Miah and MASH on Oxford street
I remember MASH too. They used to sell shell suits which people went crazy for.
MASH was fab, bought some great vinyl there and some baseball caps before you could get them anywhere else. Used to have that jeep downstairs
EYEEEEE! ...lol....big up
Mad to think this was prime time TV on BBC not some late after midnight thing.
BBC2 about 6pm i think
Janet Street Porter who was in charge of the BBC2 schedule at the time was shagging Normski!!!😉
nope they also had the A force on BBC 2 not too late on a friday which was a key tme
It was a show representing young multicultural british people and the music they loved.black and white unite.
@@ItsMeJoshLee I heard she got him the job of presenter of Dance Energy!!!
Reggae owes me money stands the test of time. The rave scene early 90’s nailed it 🔥🔥
great times
Some necks getting proper dislocated
Proper energy tings
lol sure are, wonder if they can still move around now!
No chance these guys are like me born 76 or earlier....past mid 40”s approaching 50...
Fun times had by us back then no technology just good old fun n mischief
@@webm8music They're still causing trouble! th-cam.com/video/r-DJd1LQYsc/w-d-xo.html
Wow! I never thought I would see this clip again, Big up!!!
I never forgot this. Occasionally, when I get a bit hyper in the kitchen, I bounce off my feet and shout “ragga twins de bout”
Got to love live performances
Crowd was hyped!!!
90s was something else
What an amazing show Dance Energy was. Remember this was like it was yesterday
Certainly way, so fresh. Great to see that type of music on TV. BBC2 was great back then Def2, behind the beat, we had Network7 on Ch4, great time to be a youth and into that scene :)
oh mi god, this is unbelievable!! Never knew the Ragga Twins performed on Normski's show. Too wicked :D
amazing hey, great music and show
I used to love this tune !
and today have become legends in the DnB world ... respect RTC
Ragga twins deh bout 👊🏿💯
RaGGaMania!.....lol...love dat lyric.....Big shouts 90's London Crew
Oi oi!!
Amazing footage. Ragga Twins deh bout !
Love this crowd❤
I love it from the heart.
London was the real thing then. Is it PJ and Smiley of SU&D behind? Dig the PE vest.
...if you were a teenager in south-east London around 1991-92 and you busted out to this at the "Mega Mix Rave" at the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Woolwich...
wicked stuff! still bust out their album from time to time
omggg its still there :)
Remember watching this😆
There’s a cheer at the start of every verse. It must have been so cool to hear an two genres of music (hardcore/rave and also ragga/dancehall) that you’d been listening to for ages on pirate radio and in record shops being properly represented on tv. People forget that dance music in general was a niche curiosity in the U.K. until like 1994-5.
Either way I’d have been giving welly like that lad in yellow 😁
for sure, would have been amazing to hear that "live" for the first time
Thats not strictly true dance music went mainstram in 1989 , with number ones from the likes of black box , technotronic , and top ten hits from adamski , guru josh , ezee posse etc who all originated from the acid house partys . The acid house scene was big and everything else rave wise just followed on from there really .
Dance music went mainstream in the UK 88-92 it was huge in the charts
Love the crowd vibe. And of course Raga Twins. Got the album, awesome.
My twin brov and some of his friends went on several shows including this. They actually did back up dancing.
amazing, must have been such fun
wow the days when people would shock out, love it.
defo fantastic times
That brings back memories :-) xx
this show put top of the pops to shame... this is how we did it day in day out... british knights, spx, troop, so much energy going down in 1 place you could have powered a whole village off it
Went out and bought it straight after this😂 Was there ever a tv show with this much energy before 9pm... ever? This would be on at 11.30pm today... things were moving forward more in the 90s than now
great album, youre right, it was gound breaking and so much fun to watch at our age. Introduced us to new music
Serious ting!
is that PJ & Smiley behind the decks? old school classic tune
Yeah shut up and dance were the producers of the track
them fillas were a south london staple mate.....
Dietary tings
Great post! Classic tuneeeee
PJ and Smiley pon decks!!!
Remember being 9 years old and my older bro watching this on video.
Fab! defo an amazing show :)
I want those Fila boots!!
Where is music TV like this in 2018...sigh.
no idea, such a shame. we were so lucky to have had great music and for risks to be taken by showing it on tv
I have this on VHS somewhere but I can't find it. Flinty and D Man, Lou and Michie, and the main reason to find it is Gena Yahsire was interviewed in the audience before she became a comedian and I've been teasing her about it for two decades but I've not found the VHS yet. Can someone please put up the full episode and highlight Gena G lol.
1:34 .. I had one of those Soul II Soul t-shirts.. I felt so damned cool whenever I wore it
wow very cool. Do you still have it? I popped to the shop a couple of times, but never had much. I got a DE t-shirt lol
webm8.com .. sadly no... I wore that thing out! S2S have a range still for sale soul2soulstore.com/collections/30th-anniversary but not that particular one. Not sure why as I reckon it would do well.
Dance Energy was the one.
defo was the best show on tv
