Hello and welcome to 2025's first video on the channel! In this one I'm taking you with me on a one week trip through some parts of Japan. Btw. I don't know, whether I'm alone with this... but my TH-cam feed has been so full of negativity lately. In case your's is too and you (like me) are seeking some more positivity, I hope that I can add a bit of that with this video! :) Much love to Squarespace for the continuous support of the channel! As an Indian, our streets are filled with chaos and energy (which I love btw), so watching these countryside Japan videos provide a sense of escape with its calmness and plain beauty. Thanks Teo!
I’m an Indian living currently in nyc, I miss those streets so much and the calmness of Indian countryside. I’d suggest you to travel through India if you ever get a chance, there are so many places in India with similar aesthetic and calmness like Japanese villages 😊
Visit rural areas of Northeast, especially in Meghalaya, Arunachal and Mizoram. You'll love the people, the vibe is nice and calm. Try it once whenever you get the chance. 😊
Nice calm video🌱😊 I love Kamikochi too. You had a lot of fun with the monkeys 👍It is a special experience. There was a very big earthquake in Noto peninsula and all Japanese were very sad last year. But you had a great time in Kanazawa and on the 🚋trolley. Thanks for the encouraging us and wonderful video!
This video is a visual masterpiece. The cinematography is breathtaking, and the film grain adds a unique charm. Exploring Japan through the lens of film photography truly highlights the beauty of the country. The shots of the bustling cities, the serene temples, and the breathtaking landscapes are simply captivating. The film photography adds a layer of nostalgia and authenticity. This is true travel inspiration.
dude I actually can’t get enough of your videos. they just whisk me away to a completely new and unique place. I love seeing your shots and hearing your thoughts and how they differ from my own, what I might have captured. I’m heading to Osaka for a week in March to spend some time with a church there and I’m super excited, your videos are just making me wish the time was going faster. much love dude ❤️
Hey, I just wanted to thank you for showing me your great work, inspiring me and showing me my own style that way. I really learned a lot just from watching your videos and trying to recreate effects and looks I liked, now I want to start my own social media journey. Thank you! You have great taste and eye, love that a lot.
I took almost the same trip recently, but maybe a few months after you as it was snowing when i got to Takayama. It’s so nice to relive the moments and see your photos of similar places in a different season.
I went to the same camera store in Kanazawa (and ate the best Tayaki of the trip at the store around the corner) - lovely portrait! And awesome video in general, you have perfected the art of catapulting viewers into this cozy, decelerating, magical world! ✨
Very inspiring to tell you the truth. If I wasn’t so exhausted I would grab my Leica M6 and head out to shoot some photos especially as the sun is out. A fan in Spain loves what you’re doing don’t ever stop.
Great video as always Teo! So cool that you went to Nanao - that’s where my family is from! The area was hit quite badly by the earthquake in January last year and like much of the countryside in Japan, the population is steadily declining. Perhaps that could explain the lacking energy in the town but still neat that you went all the way out there!
Your videos always give such a familiar warm feeling and let you think you're right there right now. That's so lovely! 😊 We visited Japan in January/February last year and also traveled to Kanazawa and Shirakawa-Go from Tokyo. Seeing these pictures is making me even more excited for the next trip to Japan. Your film photography also inspired me to give it a go, so I recently got a Pentax MX (not Willhaben unfortunately 😉). It needs a bit of love but I can't wait to shoot my first roll on it. Greetings from Lower Austria Marcel
Beautiful video Teo! Have you ever compiled a list of you favourite towns/places tp visit in Japan? I think people would find that super useful, I know I add places to my saved Google Maps pins everytime I watch your videos!
Hey! I'm in love with the vibe of your videos. Although I'd probably change music at some scenes, the film itself makes me feel like im reading your travel diary, which is awesome. Keep it up! Could you please tell me the name of a font you use at 15:23? Thanks :)
Thank you for this video! Wonderfully shot and narrated, brought back fond memories of Hida-Takayama. Was that Kyoya? I think I actually sat in the same spot you filmed in the restaurant. Amazing!
As always I love the relaxed approaches and the great content you have in your videos and just cannot understand why all this netagive attitiude is showing up everywhere on all social media. Why is the world or should I say some of those who have the luxury of living in this beautiful planet and are becoming more and more intolerant than the opposite. After all, we should show much more respect. What does it and who does it help by just spreading this negative stuff - nobody. Keep the head going high and don't be distracted from this negative resposnse. You're doing a great job with your videos and I'm looking forward to more.
Just wondering, I feel really uncomfortable taking pictures of strangers despite often wanting to as a part of the composition. It feels like I'm invading their privacy. Do you get their permision to shoot and post or not?

The shot with the owner at the camera shop is so cool, nice that there's film stock all around him
So beautiful ❤

This looks like it'd be a screenshot out of a Sci-fi film! 30:16
I know it must have taken ages to color grade the iPhone log footage, thank you for your time and dedication 🤍
Watching this as we leave the monkey park lmao, another great video :)

I'm curious how many rolls of film would be used on a trip like this.
How is it that you were able to capture the man on the river in 3 separate photos from 3 separate angles?
🔥
Will you feature the CAMP SNAP CAMERA?
Was this filmed with your sony or iphone?? Thanks for the great video!
@@Stephen-zq5zv All the footage from the trip was shot with the iPhone. The shots at home (talking head, intro and such) were shot with the Sony
❤
Can you tell me the name of the font you use in your video
my god...i would really LOVE to continue shooting on film rolls but it's just TOO EXPENSIVE 😢 and I don't even own a digital camera, I'm cooked
I want to make video like you
Sup!
