The heat meter has grown on me a little bit, but I still dislike enemies not dying in one hit. For a game that emphasizes going as fast as possible through the levels, it's only frustrating when an enemy doesn't die and you have to turn around and keep throwing them against a wall until they finally do. I know they still die if you hit them at max speed, but not all enemies are placed on a runway for you to speed up and get free kills. I also think the text is trying too hard to be funny, which is exactly what I thought about the room names too. I think PTG excels at visual humor, not written. The new HUD looks awesome, I like the few level design changes that I've seen, and having to run back to the secret exit with the janitor is genius. I would like the TV better if it changed more often, like when Peppino runs at max speed or gets hurt, but it's still a cool addition. (Edit) And I love the toppins redesigns!
It does seem to show an indicator of when Peppino sets his butt on fire on the tv, so maybe the expressions he makes at max speed will be shown there as well. 🤞 Also, I think that the little commercial that shows up sometimes is kinda funny. Especially since it also changes the music a bit, too.

This new build looks pretty good so far! Though I don’t really like how the enemies can just wombo combo you as shown here: 2:37 I definitely think they should add some invincibility frames. But other than that, I like the new hud! Though I think it could be more animated in the final game like in the old hud. I don’t like how it just does the same idle animation over and over. But overall, looks good! I hope they improve this even more!

tv text should be funny if present. Right now it just doesn't fit in well. Heat Meter should just be difficulty or something. Megaman Zero, while a good game, didn't pull it off very well, and it was not *actively changing the level in front of you*. Plus, heat goes down too quickly that it only messes with casuals and veterans will just not get their difficulty itch.

I dont get why the heat meter is so controversial, its just an extra challenge for more skilled players. Although i gotta admit the tv dialogue is pretty useless and obnoxious lol (nice playthrough btw)

I really don't like the new UI... The old one is so charming and according to the situations that it makes the game feel more humourous while the telly is telegated for points. And since it's condensed into one, much of the emotions are hidden by numbers. Like the characters themselves are reduced to numbers.
