    I just discovered this guy tonight on my way home. I've had a newer car for about a month now, and I accidentally picked the CD part of my media rather than Bluetooth like I normally do. I don't know who owned my car before me, but I wish I could thank them for this. His song "False Teachers" may be one of my new favorite Christian songs. His Biblical lyrics are fantastic, and I'm always looking for good Biblical people to listen to.
    Next thing I saw was Todd Friel of Wretched talking about him as well. Love it, as I've been a Wretched fan for about 5 years now.

    Amen! I was a false convert for 15 years, and after the Lord gave me a new heart I worried that I was deceived again. My testimony of hitting a church sign on my motorcycle going 75 and being in a coma gave me much attention, and made me doubt my motives. What changed it all was my desire! I truly did, and do LOVE Christ so much I cry like a baby as I meditate upon seeing him face to face! From such Love flows all the fruit of true salvation! Thanks be to God for Shai, have all his albums, and absolutely Love Jesus Kids. Blessed infinitely, and always rejoicing.

    Amen! Praise God for this young man preaching the Gospel, not only in the pulpit, but in his music, also. I have been listening to Shai Linne's music daily for about 2 months (or maybe longer) straight and his music is full of great theology and the GOSPEL. I praise God for the way He's using this young man and others like him to reach the lost (that might never hear the gospel if not for Shai Linne and CHH) for Christ in ways (CHH) that have never been used before. Not only does he preach the truth, he is a great role model for kids and young adults in an age that godly role models, that not only preach the truth but live it out in their daily life, are few and far between. Thank you God for calling this young man from a wretched life of sin and debauchery and saving his soul and changing his heart to live for You and preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the lost and perishing youth and adults across America and the world. All praise and honor goes to You Lord! Thank you Lord for also changing my heart to see I was headed for hell while claiming to be a Christian.

    I needed this today. I've become so disheartened by the state of modern, western Christianity. I actually started to think about turning away from the name "Christianity" to "the Way" (John 14:6 and Acts 24:14). That's the name the apostles and early believers used to identify their faith. This sermon helped me realize it's not what we're called, but who and what we are because of Jesus' matchless, finished work; because of our faith in and walk with Him. I praise God for leading me by His Spirit to this message. I thank God that this Christian warrior recognizes and is committed to being a watchman over the flock (Ezekiel 33:2-7). Thank you also to the messenger.

      >>>So, well done Shai for highlighting the personal part of faith ! Fully agree and so often ignored orvunderplayed. BUT you have got to go to the next level...you cannot leave it at "Do you love Him?' See next...,

    • @spiromlb
      @spiromlb 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A ....growing ....love for Christ is the (only?) sustainable discipleship path in Christ... it is a journey.., not an arrival point. I have learned to love Christ more deeply DIRECTLY from the study of the Gospels, particularly 1) from regularly meditating on His sacrifice at the Cross for us all. But 2) meditating routinely on the several individual outcast encounters that just blows me away of supernatural love. Even Old Testament Jonah shakes my self-righteousness EVERY time I reflect on Jonah's story. But...Experiential faith I posit directly comes from Spirit-led epiphanies in the Gospels... like no other Scripture...even Jonah! It took me from Head knowledge to Heart knowledge. Which Outcast encounter grips you like no other? Have you got one? I have got 5 so far in my 28 years as a born-again believer. 5 that bring me to my knees. Close Encounters of the Divine Kind, that I can now say "My Lord"

    According to Philippians 3:9 a Christian has two states of righteousness, that the righteousness imputed by God by faith, and actual righteousness through faith in Christ.
    This conforms with Hebrews 11, the two types of faith, by faith and through faith. Romans 3:30 does the same differentiation. There are indeed two declarations of righteousness necessary for Salvation, faith in Christ satisfies God and puts us in right standing, and 'knowing' Christ and being righteous by keeping his commandments.

    • @KnowledgeRuless
      @KnowledgeRuless 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Simon Skinner it's one same thing, the faith in Christ and the saving grace of God, always works a change in a saved person that's saved by grace through faith in Jesus alone, if someone is not changed, he is not saved either and does not know Christ, as the truth is in Him, read Galatians and Ephesians.

    To get the eternal name that God gave you, you must go back to the beginning where he knew you in Christ from before the foundations of the world. If you get what is in the new name of Jesus, the name that God gave him in the resurrection, the name above all names, by which we have access to by faith in the blood of Jesus, his finished work on the cross, what it means to be who we are in him, the meaning of the content of our own name within himself, who he has always known us to be and the works he predestined within us, then you have to know it doesn't mean anything about being a Christian. It's true that you obtain this through successful obedience to the word of God, but to make something of ourselves because of it is erroneous. We cannot be anyone to the world or each other if it's not the same as who we are to God. The truth is uttered by the holy Spirit only, but ambiguous terms like Christian, the same as any other bogus title, false image or blasphemous name in the world can be spoken from the mouth of anyone without the Spirit. This is not the true name of God's people or who he redeemed us to be. The world doesn't know us like it didn't know him, acknowledging ourselves as Christians to them is fallacy and stifles the ability of the Spirit to do his works. Represent the new name that he gave you which none knows other than yourself. In this name there is power. In Antioch unbelievers first called those who were of the faith Christians not to honor them, but to dismiss and marginalize them. They were falsely accused of being Christians as they were persecuted because the world was not able to acknowledge who they really were without receiving the Spirit.

    • @timothyharper4952
      @timothyharper4952 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      To wit, if I serve the Lord, I do what it means to be who I am to Him not in the name of Christianity, but in the new name he gave me within himself through the power of His resurrection.

    • @timothyharper4952
      @timothyharper4952 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In confessing who we are or what it means it should always be unto God that we confess and in order to do this we must acknowledge the same truth that he knows us according to from within Himself. We cannot give a confession of who we are to the world or each other unless we acknowledge a meaning that God himself has not established. If I mean anything to anyone else at all it is according to the recognition of God's own truth within me and there can be no agreement without this unless to give place to the devil. "For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself (Gal. 6:3.)" Believing something about ourselves being Christans is not the same thing as actually believing Christ. Claiming to be anything at all for our faith in Him when it is actually His faith working through us is ludicrous. The first use of the term in Acts 11:26 informs us that believers were first designated as "Christians" in Antioch. It most certainly does not suggest that this was a title given to themselves or that God himself decreed it (Isaiah 62:2.) The second time it appears in Scripture, King Agrippa used it in addressing Paul. But, in reading the text you will see that Paul does not acknowledge the term in his response, but tactfully admits his desire to see a true transformation occur in the lives of all who might hear him (Acts 26:28-29.) The third and final occurrence found in Scripture, Peter gives instruction not to suffer as an evil doer but as a "Christian" (1 Pet. 4:14-16.) But, I believe, that if this passage is understood correctly, that what it suggests is that rather than letting them actually provoke you to do wrong, so that their accusation of you has substance, that if they accuse you of anything it should be according to your actual obedience to Christ. In which case, and in understanding the use of that term in those times, the name being glorified is the actual name of the risen Christ (Rev. 19:11-16,) not the name "Christian" of which you were being falsely accused as an explanation for what they wrongfully condemned you (1 Pet. 4:16.) So, it should be that if we confess who we are or what it means to anyone, it should be an acknowledgement of who we are in God through Christ which is according to the election God actually made of us and our obedience to that calling. Acknowledging terms the world uses to falsely designate what it means for us to be who we are doesn't recognize or allow the Spirit to display His power through the name that we have actually received from Him. It is actually a term of unbelief invented by unbelievers to categorize those who were of the faith. It makes no difference what people say when the Spirit is not in it, but I by no means have to acknowledge myself as a Christian or anything else for the faith that God gave me to believe in Him. It really doesn't even mean anything about me because if it's really in His own eternal name that I exist than it only means who He is within me. Anything else is just false pride. Is God a Christian? Is that the name of the Holy Spirit living within me that makes me who and what I am? Is this the confession I should actually be making? "And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake (2 Cor. 4:3-5.)"

      Having said all that, I still greatly enjoyed Shai's message and I think his passion and fervor for the Lord is quite obvious and through it he expresses the virtues and values of the faith wonderfully. Thank you.

    Shaikh Line I disagree with your interpretation of what Paul tells us in Philippians 3:9. Paul pronounces his genuine righteousness in performance, but not which comes from the law which as he once believed, but through faith in Christ. Faith is complete trust and obedience, so here he tells us he lives righteous from Christian service, sorry but you misunderstand where our righteousness comes from.
    The verse goes on to tell us we are justified by God for faith in Christ, two-stage and types of righteousness necessary for Salvation.
    Paul does not repent of his righteousness as a Christian, he repents of that when he was a Pharisee, a Christian must be righteous to prove they know him.

      What was Shai Linnes interpretation of Phillipians 3:9? Because you just basically repeated what he actually said.

      Niu Life I disagree because I believe Christianity more than any other religion is about righteous works, your own righteousness. Shai does not see that Paul claims his own righteousness from faith in Christ, to be right with God requires faith, but to be right with Christ requires righteous works.
      Shai repeats Calvin's sick incorrect "Substitutional Atonement ", we do have our own righteousness as Paul tells us, "not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ". "Having mine own righteousness which is through faith in Christ", is another way to write it.
      Do you still think Shai has the same interpretation as I do?

      Not sure you are writing what you mean, because what you wrote is what he said. It's faith in Christ's Righteousness, not our own. Maybe it's the verse you quoted from Paul because that is what Paul says repeatedly as well.
      Jesus had to be our substitution, the scriptures clearly teach that. I'm not calvinist but I agree with that 100%.

      Tim Needham Paul claims his own righteousness, that is not having righteousness which is of the Law, "but that which is through the faith (trust and obedience) of Christ". Simple, the same righteousness which is of God by faith. God counts us righteous for faith, he then sanctified the believer, and the true believer such as Paul lives righteous. I promote what is known as 'double justification', because we are pledged to both the Father and Son, we need right standing with both.
      We don't need rewarding for simply believing that Christ was righteous, born in sinful flesh he lived sinless and sanctified himself as our example, he was the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. We are to do the same, mortify the deeds of the flesh, and show behaviour of Galatians 5:22-23.
      With Calvinism you can't pick the doctrine you approve of and slag off the rest, Calvinism is integrated and Substitutional Atonement is part of the trash.

      @@simonskinner1450 Paul is not referring to the Law but the rituals of the Law. Paul is not saying one can commit adultery, that is the law. You have to study the Old Testament and the rituals and the culture. Paul never said the law was done away with.
