Ive had some higher end lexicons PCM-70 & 80 etc.. and this little rack is great, where it really excels is being able to shape the sound without menu diving, can get complex dense fx without much trouble. This alone put its over and above other higher end units that are hard to program.
Just wanted to say "thank you" for this video. Got my unit today, only thing i have to check again is, that after you change presets they only work if you start turning any knob, if you don't the effect (preset) doesn't change - but I have to check that out in the next days. Anyway, many thinks again, great job and pretty funny too :)
Awesome! Really enjoyed this... I bought the Eventide H9 Max a two months ago and love it, However, I never really tried my Lexicon MX200 with anything other than my Native Style Flute. Thanks for the review
I want this to use with the SSL Big Six. I find myself using a spare analog channel for plug in reverbs and echos. I like the Valhalla and echo boy plugs as well. I know would not get the flexiblity of plug ins but outboard gear always stands outs.
Really nice review. I would have liked to see a couple things though: * What are the limits of the feedback? Can you have a sound play forever with the feedback turned all the way up? * Does it go into self-oscillation on the max feedback setting? * What happens to the sound that is playing if you change the delay time as it's playing? Does it get pitched up/down and change smoothly or do you get the digital choppiness? Thanks
goodday ,,tell me what could be the problem if my LEXICON MX200 dont pickup audio inputs but is turning on every function is working only input dont pick the signal?
I appreciate this detailed review. I've been looking for a low cost solution for a rack mounted effects box, and this seems like it fits perfectly for what I wanted. My only question would be (which may be answered in these videos somewhere), can I run 2 separate pre-amps, one into each channel, and run the outputs to my interface, and have them unaffected by the other channel? Specifically, can I record vocals through 1 preamp into this, and a guitar through 1 preamp into the other channel, and have at least 1 effect on both channels simultaneously? Thanks again.
I recently bought this but I am not getting input signal. I connected it with Mackie pro fx8v2 mixer. Mixer fx send to lexicon mx200 input L mono. And lexicon mx200 stereo output to Mackie ST stereo return. I am getting sound from the audition test sound but no input signal. Really confused what’s going on.
Does the MX200 tape delay do the trick where you turn the delay feedback to 100% so it doesn't decay, and then change the pitch of the looping sound by changing the delay amount?
+hung vu It depends how many effects you want in your mix. This unit can do 2 effects separately. If you have a mixer, you can set up the the aux 1 and 2 send from your mixer into the unit and then the output from the lexicon into the stereo effects returns on your mixer. The manual shows all the connections you can make.
+Recording Studio Tips And Reviews Thank you very much, your video really good for every one needs ,easy understand ,clear and even better than manual from manufactory .I will try to set it up as you instructed .Thanks again.Hung vu
Thanks for detail explanation Sir. I was between Lexicon MX200 and MX300. I decided to buy MX200, as it is user friendly (no deep dive to menu) rather than MX300. Also, I thougt to choose TC M350, but as you mentioned, it is limiting user choises, so I stopped with lexicon. Only drawbar of the MX200 is external power supply, but it does not make significant discomfort for me. I will ask a favour. Could you please write me, the music name at the beginnig and end? Subscriber N638... Have a nice day
hi! thanks for the video! I have a question regarding the bypass feature. I am using my mx200 to add effects to my prophet 08. I am seeing that the bypass for delay features don't actually bypass because when I unclick it the previous thing I played is still coming thru. how could I resolve this issue? Thanks again!
hello ,,let me help and answer you on that,,please check if your inputs is stereo or mono jacks and also check if your output is plugged on line out or on bypass line out,,,
wondering about Routing. Best Routing Setting? Or how those 4 settings work? and Also about Chorus on vocal. I did not find in part 1 where you used chorus with vocal.
I may have missed the chorus. For settings, it depends. If you have a mixer you can set it up ad 2 separate aux sends (run 2 effects separately). If you are using it for live or creative effects, you can choose serial and have one effect go into the other
Thanks very much. You have added more clarity for MX200 than just about anything else I have seen or read. You did have a chorus section in part 2 ... but it did not include vocals, only instruments. Is Chorus not really a good effect to use for vocals? With the Routing ... By Serial I assume you mean Routing #2? ie. Cascade?
RE: will this work with a boss metal pedal and my guitar amp? for just power electronics noise dark industrial dark ambient feedback noise music, with reverb/distortion spoken vocals......like bands con-dom, the grey wolves, genocide organ, k.f.r, or do i need a synthisizer to connect this to??? i'm trying to find out all what i need....i am tired of playing guitar unless it helps with the chaos sound of bands mentioned.....just done with my black metal DSBM band demonic painful vocals too (peisithanatos) no one i know knows power electronics noise industrial dark ambient unless downloading free crappy digital fl studio type sounds....could really use advice on what i need to create my chaotic serenity!!!!! that's why i mentioned some main bands, or if i decide to scream power electronics noise like final solution "kill mode" is a perfect song to explain this 2nd style/vocally....
+huy diep hello, you can set it by by connecting the aux 1 and 2 send from the mixer into the input 1-2 in the unit. Then the output from the unit to the aux 1 and 2 return on the mixer. Then, depending on the channel, you just use aux send 1-2 to send how much effect you would like
Recording Studio Tips and Reviews;. Sorry. I know this is an old post and conversation, but if you could Riddle me this... I'm an experienced guitarist that sings as well. I'm upgrading and building a new live effects setup. Same 'ol pedal board, but would like to have less heavy, primitively cabled (one jumper comes loose in transit and half of soundcheck is "shaking down" connections, not EQing and everything else) single function pedals and the 90 plus feet of cable that goes with that type of thing. I need both hands at all times so my question is:. ==------->. Does the MX 200 come with, or is it at least set up for, a control pedal to change patches, go wet/dry, etc.? I've been looking but haven't found any info on that. I can't afford to pay someone to turn on patches backstage for me. Hell, we can't even afford a bus! If you know , please tell me what and how.

Man, your really good at this. Don't go disappearing on us man! Great Work
Ive had this unit for years not having a knowledge of how to use it, thank you for opening that door. You "da" man.
"are the"👍

Same thought I noticed, I've been looking around and this is one particularly reminiscent of the echoboy and valhalla plugins 😂
Awesome demo !!...................Thanks !!.......Subscribed !
great review thanks
Great video man! I just bought one of these. Is it ok to plug the stereo outs into a stereo amp sim pedal?
Is it possible to create vocal harmonies via MIDI while singing in?

Who gives a shit 😆there only 50 quid on eBay
Hey. Is reverb and delay effects can use at the same time? How to route it?
Can you please show how to use this unit with usb and/or as a plugin?
Sold! Just ordered mine. So, nice review - especially part one :+1:
Very nice video sir!
Sir, I have one question- How to connect Lexicon MX200 processor to the mixer (I use Soundcraft EFX Series 12 mixer)?
That mixer has built-in Lexicon
Great VOD, any effects recommendation for live show on vocal? Appreciated
What are the knobs for under processor 2? I noticed you did not use them.

Where can I buy that product
Great-Stuff
Is that lexicon alone or need to add with the other FX instrument? how about the set up to mixer ? just do as manuals show? Please be advise .Thanks

Sorry but don't you have a part 3, where you have 2 of these processor operate at the same time? or it's an individual processor. thank you
good job bud.

For your purposes you could totally use it in line with a guitar and guitar pedals.
what is the different between tape delay vs. digital delay......
thanks
hello sir how to setup with yamaha mg 16 for karaoke
+huy diep hello, you can set it by by connecting the aux 1 and 2 send from the mixer into the input 1-2 in the unit. Then the output from the unit to the aux 1 and 2 return on the mixer. Then, depending on the channel, you just use aux send 1-2 to send how much effect you would like
hi nice channel can you do a saxaphone setup thanks

The TC elec M350 sounds thicker and richer than the lexi MX200

Ciao, tutti questi effetti possono essere applicati solo alla voce, questo processore va bene per una cantante ?
Please help me with with your email address
