Eazy was probably smiling when he saw the Chronic Billboard because he was gonna receive 25% of all revenue from the Chronic sales. And the billboard said "over 5 million sold". Dr. Dre's day became Eazy's pay day.
This guy I was sitting by during the previews was snoring loud af then his girl would wake him up and tell him he's snoring. (This happened 3 more times before the movie started.) I thought he couldn't have been more annoying and then the rapping started... he just mumbled loud saying random words off key and the wrong lyrics. Then at the end of the movie when Suge asks Dr Dre "what are you gonna call the label?" the whole theatre is dead silent and everyone and their mother knows he's about to say Aftermath, but leave it too the dumbass next to me to shout out "Aftermath" and then say, "Ha, and I ain't even seen this movie before."
The 2Pac scene was so inaccurate. Having him record anything in a Death Row studio while Eazy was alive is just wrong. He was incarcerated when Eazy died. He got locked up the end of 94' and didn't get out until October of 95'. That's when Dre gave him the California Love record which was supposed to be Dre's.
Pretty everything they left out - Dre's beef with Eazy, the Dee Barnes incident, some of the group's more misogynist lyrics - they left out to make themselves (Cube, Dre & E) look like good guys. It was like the movie Ray if they left out Ray Charles's drug use & womanizing. Don't get me wrong, this was a really good movie. Acting, pacing, and music was all on point. Just wish Dre, Cube, and F Gary Gray had the balls to tell the whole story instead of an airbrushed version of N.W.A.
ALL OF A SUDDEN DR.DRE IS A G THANG BUT ON HIS OLD ALBUM COVER HE WAS A SHE THANG, SO NIGGA PLEASE NIGGA PLEASE DON'T STEP TO THESE REAL MUTHAFUCKIN G'S.
It was good but the part when Dre told Suge he was leaving Death Row had me rolling. I know damn well Suge ain't ask Dre what he go name his label. Turn around and look at the screen and say Aftermath. GTFOH
+CodysFavorites I didn't recognize him in the first few seconds, but the second he spoke I though DAT'S SNOOOOOP! His voice and fucking swagger was totally Snoop Dogg. I thought they all did and looked great!
I like this movie But there are so many flaws: - 2Pac: Hail Mary wasnt recorded until 1996 - Eazy E: He NEVER cried about the success of The Chronic. He got PAID for it and made fun of dre - MC Ren: They could have showed that he had a solo career - Fuck The Police: As far as I know, it was Dre and Eazy who got harassed by police officers and then Cube wrote his first verse of Fuck Tha Police because he was inspired by what dre and eazy told him - Could have showed how Arabian Prince (an original member of the group) didnt care for the gangsta shit they recorded for the album and therefore left the label - the making of nuthin but a g thang was kind of ridiculous because Snoop was in jail when dre made the beat - In the movie you get the feeling that after cube left, NWAs career was over. However, Niggaz4Life was much more controversial AND successful than anything Cube made with or without NWA - Eazy E NEVER got beat up by Suge I really enjoyed the movie but it could have been so much better if they had just stick with the real story
The parts that they only showed in the trailer is probably deleted scenes that will be in the dvd. But yeah I saw this movie twice. Cried at the end both times. Everybody did excellent especially Cube's son, the guy that played Eazy and the guy that played Suge. Might be one of my all time favorites years from now
Really good movie, BUT I do wish that Dre and Ice Cube were not the producers. The best biopics tell the full story and it feels very one sided. Every member of NWA was written to look like the victim, when there are stories that prove that this is not the case. I would have liked to see them go deeper and show the darker sides of each character because we see that they've changed over the years into better people. But, other than that, it was a really good movie. Probably will remain number 1 at the box office this weekend.
Yes your right, the best part of the movie too me was when we see Ice Cube being a gangster, carrying guns & destroying offices, because that's so far off from the Ice Cube we have today & it was really interesting to see that
They not gonna do that. Not while they still have careers to think about. And especially with how sensitive people are these days, there's no way they could put out the full truth and not receive any backlash. Is it a little dishonest? Sure, but they do have to keep their careers in mind for now. I'm sure it's not an easy thing to do either, just putting your whole personal life and darkest moments out there like that for millions of people to see.
bashbro1able You're right, which is why I wish they weren't the producers. Actually it would be better if they were dead, but Hollywood doesn't know how to sit on a story. They just have to do it right away. It would have been better if they just waited so they could tell the whole truth without any objections.
JustDavid0823 Even still, their personal life really isn't any of our business in the first place, whether they're dead or alive, and it would still be kinda messed up to expose so many hidden truths about someone after they've died without their consent. So we're kinda lucky we got what we did. The way I see it, Straight Outta Compton isn't the best biopic, but it's damn sure a good movie.
bashbro1able The point of a bio pic is to show someones personal life. Plus the drama with Dr. Dre wasn't really all that private. The fight with an interviewer was public. The movie is good, but I think it could have been better if it was explored with more depth. The movie kind of fizzles out in the third act.
+AQGOAT24 Correct. Dre was gone by then and Tupac had to work with the producers from the ill-named "wack room". Makaveli recorded in a week in August 1996. I think this may be a rights issue other than a goof.
Easy E being portrayed as a tortured soul was one of my biggest problems with the film. Easy E never came off of a good person in real life and in the movie Easy does nothing to deserve any sympathy. His downfall was self-inflicted. To this day when I hear rappers reminisce about Easy and call him a friend and legend, I just don't understand. Part of me thinks most rapper are saving face when they talk about Easy's greatness. Jason Mitchell (the actor) did a great job though. Also Dr. Dre's character and dialogue in the film was unbearable. Like Ken said Dre had a "holy than thou" feel to him and Aldis Hodge was awful in the roll.
I cried at the end. I hope Jason Mitchell (Eazy-E) gets an Oscar for Best Actor and Paul Giamatti for Best Supporting Actor. Dope movie. I'm with Kinge, I hope Wu-Tang Clan is next for the biopic treatment!
+Khalid Richardson I aint mad at ya. I'm personally not into watching long films. After two hours, I want to move. I understand that they cut an hour and a half of footage for the film, but I would have cut a bit more; simply to have a shorter film. I know people were upset that they left out a few key points like the Dre/Eazy beef plus other things. But, for me it was due to the time limit. Two hours and thirty minutes is the max for an average film. Anything more than that is usually a Part I out of II film. Again, I aint mad at ya. I enjoyed the scene as well but after the two hour mark I wanted to move. I enjoyed the film but I'm accustomed to not standing still for more than 2 hours. Thanks for reading. (+)
I see you point, but at the same time Dre did have a hand in the film, im pretty sure he doesnt want to relive that beef between him and his best freind
+Gregory Bertrand Gregory Bertrand Interesting, I was thinking it was more like deep down, Eazy-E was proud of Dr. Dre for getting his album out there and doing so well. Like, we were these fucking no ones from Compton and now look at that shit! Like some kind of silent pride for his hip hop brother. Like a kind of set of for E's reunion calls later as if he's thinking about his friends.
Saw the movie last night, shit made me be proud to be black and proud of my people for creating this beautiful culture called hip hop, just seeing that movie made me wish I was a teenager back then in the 80s&90s
you guys totally misinterpreted the Eazy driving down the road scene. he wasn't smiling at the Chronic billboard thinking "So good to see my buddy make it big." He was laughing inwardly AT HIMSELF for not being able to hold on to his success as his peer did. he was completely down and out at that moment of his life (in the film). i thought it was one of the pivotal and saddest moments in the film.
The movie was cool. Wished they would've talked about the Dre/Eazy beef more. Didn't like how they made Dre look like a fucking superhero lmaoooo. He definitely wasn't talking to Suge like that
The scene where Eazy is driving and sees The Chronic poster, he looked sad to me. I don't remember him looking up and smiling. It just seemed like he looked up at that and was like "damn..."
Mike hit the nail on the head. This movie would have been infinitely better had it portrayed the characters realistically. They even have a part with Eazy critiquing Ice Cube's movie Friday ..when it came out a month after Eazy died. Would have been way more hardcore had they not sugarcoated anything
the pac scene gave me chills but it bothered me that they had him playing hail mary when clearly they shoulve been playing something from all eyez on me like ambitionz az a ridah in order to be accurate wit their time periods...hail mary came out like over a year later!
F. Gary Grey already said he wanted the movie to be three hours long but couldn't because of the studio so they had to leave some stuff out. So hopefully we'll see a directors cut.
See I disagree with Raf about the Jerry character. From the film I got that he was trying to protect Eazy and he did fight for the group. But you gotta think back in the day all the artists were getting fucked over. That's just how business was done then . And I don't know if you guys picked up on this but to me the film kinda tried to insinuate that Suge was the reason Eazy got AIDS. If you think back to the scene in the studio between them Suge says to him " Don't make me change you Eric" and Eazy goes "Does that mean". Then they jump him. To me that dialogue stood out so much during that scene that what they had to be saying. And after that scene every scene shows him being sick. And not to mention Suge years later alludes to injecting Eazy with AIDS. What you're guys thoughts on that ?
Is it wrong for me to assume that Jerry was the most decent of the production managers? He seemed to genuinely care about Eazy-E, despite still fucking him over. That scene with those two at Jerry's pool stands out in particular.
I'm kinda bummed that they didn't mention the hotel scene when the dude was looking for Felicia. That was my favorite scene in the movie. Shit was hilarious.
it would be cool if this became the new hot genre of movies. like how the past ten years or so have seen the rise of superhero movies, it would be cool to see the next ten years have some really dope biopics about music legends.
Run dmc? Honestly don't find them is interesting. I would still like to see a movie on def jam during the 80s. We could see cool j, Beastie boys, public enemy etc.
I was totally one on of those people who was rapping every song, like omg. I swear I was pumping every song and my girl she was looking at my like "this Nigga better be feeling this shit."
I will say just because you got guns in the studio doesn't define the character of a man intentions. If he not actively gangbangin meaning going to kill ppl guns are for defense, but Real Compton city Gs and all that was towards Dre back in the day.. But Easy had loyalty to dude cause he changed his life legally and for the better. A real street dude with morals don't forget shit like that, even tho Heller was getting over on him.
This movie was soooooo watered down..Dre n Cube in their prime would've done it better..not other uncommon for bio picks to be half truth/half B.S...this was no exception.
I absolutely loved this movie. I seen it Thursday before it was actually released. And as a 26 year old that was born when that album dropped it made me want more. I always wanted to know how bad it was for Dre to have give Suge his masters and all that. What Cube seen to make him leave. I didn't really think about the Dre and Eazy beef for some reason but I know I was missing something. Kinda wish they would've let it be known that it was Warren G that introduced Snoop to Dre but I loved it. I heard they're making a sequel focusing more of the Deathrow Era and those artist. Part of me wants it another part is like please don't mess up this movie.
It was a big-budget TV movie. No narrative drive, basically a wiki-points summary of everything we all already know about NWA with some Panaflex gloss. Two stars!
The way they left out the Eazy & Dre beef was odd. My Program Director has a poster of The Chronic that Eazy drew a picture earrings on & wrote My Bitch!!! That beef was really intense!!!
Also, nobody checked for MC Ren verses? Speak for yourselves. It was always a discussion between my friends who was the best rapper in NWA - Cube or Ren. Eazy was a distant 3rd.
No one is going to talk about how they dogged Ren, Yella and made Dre and Cube look like great guys? Those weren't the only inaccuracies. Movie was bullshit.
As hyped as I was when the Pac scene came up, I knew deep down that it totally didn't happen. That whole scene was waaaaay too good to be true. The part where Snoop came down and freestyled a legendary track was corny. I also am pretty disappointed to have learned about Dre's domestic violence shit after watching the movie. It was good movie, though. Worth seeing twice.
Dope review of an excellent movie (which I rate 10 outta 10). I think that the guy who played Dre did a great job because Dre never came off as a gangsta in any of the interviews that I've seen or heard him do (not saying that he comes off as a wimp or anything), he just seems like a down to Earth dude who's passionate about music (not saying that I personally know shit about the guy) and I think that the actor who played Dre did a great job of portraying that.
Only beef i had with the movie was Jerry Heller was not asked to come represent himself in the movie. You're taking one side of the story and passing it off as fact. If he stole all that movie, why wasn't he ever sued? Other than that, stellar movie
My only issue with the movie was the way they portrayed Eazy-E at the end. They made it like he was down on his luck but in reality he was doing great. He didn't kill Suge but he out hustled him business wise and was getting paid by Dre and Suge w everything they were releasing. He dropped Real M'fing G's which is one of the best diss tracks of all time and it went platinum. Plus he just signed Bone Thugs. The actor who portrayed Eazy was great tho and they got his IDGAF attitude down perfect. He was def the Compton G of the group
I would have loved F Gary to have dealt with NWA's fallout in a much broader way. Granted the movie was long but as soon as it ended I was like "really? I could take another 2 hours of this!". I mean watching Eazy-E vs Dre, Cube vs Eazy, Dre beating the hell out of Dee Barnes. As a matter of fact, F Gary was the cameraman on that interview that got that women nearly killed by Dre. I know that from a storytelling point you need the audience to sympathize with the protagonists, so having Dre beating a woman would have antagonized him. We already had Suge as the "villain" but still. It felt like Dre and Cube were censoring the movie because they have their hollywood career/venture capitalist careers still going, and they don't want the movie to taint their image. But that's really my only gripe with the movie. I saw it online in poor quality, and I can't wait for it to be released in my country.
i think they ain't put the easy and dre beef in the movie ren and yella then nothing to do with that it was really easy vs. dre and ice cube was beefing with nwa no disrespect but in my opinion it kinda din't make senense to put that beef or dre beating them girls in the movie it was a nwa story i think if the made a easy biopic by his self or a dre biopic it would have beem perfect then
yeah I agree with mykes point about the muted beef depicted in the movie because back in the day when are and easy went at each other ,for a while it seemed like there wasn't anyone else on the planet rapping
one thing for sure that i love about this movie is the fact that have always thought or made to believe Dre was soft but if this movie is telling the truth. then i'm certain that Dre isn't as soft as most people made us to think. I mean the scene in the studio when Pac was recording and they heard gun shot and he went out to yell and punch to of suge guys and the end he did went to suge to say he's out.. Man that was really Brave of him knowing who Suge was.. Good movie in general though..
Great review! Have you guys checked out Lupe Fiasco's new mixtape Pharaoh Height yet? I'm really digging it right now I'd love to hear yall's thoughts!
Lololol I, like a lot of people, don't like it when there's certain things and events missing in a total telling of a story. But if they had put every...single...piece of material in this movie, this movie would've been at least 4 hours long. So I don't mind them leaving out a few timepieces here and there....unless you would actually love to see a 4 or 5 hour movie of N.W.A. lololol
I loved this movie so much that I saw it twice. My favorite scenes were the concert scenes (especially when they did Fuck tha Police), the reactions of the group when they heard No Vaseline, the Ice Cube baseball bat office scene, and the Eazy hospital scene.
No thoughts on how the film completely glosses over and ignores Dre beating the shit out of women? And how the film does play down their pretty strong misogyny and homophobia?
Honestly, all was good in the movie until they broke up then they dogged Eazy's character and warped history. Dre didn't want to cover Eazy's success, including his popular disses to him or the fact he still made money off his music even with Suge's tactics which did not include a beat down. They covered not only Dre's post-Ruthless successes but Cube's as well but just made Eazy look like some has been 'cause Dre and Cube left. Eazy got props as long as the movie was covering NWA in it's prime, but once it was time to show the flipside they just really threw a lot of shade on Eazy and his legacy. I would understand this happening if strangers were involved, but all of NWA was on board for this as producers and approved every little thing. It could have been greater if they kept it real for Eazy's legacy but Dre's ego wouldn't allow it even though it's suppose to be a true life story. Dre decided to depict himself in make believe squabbles with Suge and his goons several times but Eazy was a broken person? Every artist around Eazy has fact checked to movie, you would think the person who passed would be held up to highest regard of respect in the story.
From what I understand, the dude who played Pac in this movie is playing him in the 2Pac biopic that is supposed to come out like next year. That's what I read but I might be wrong.
this movie is an instant classic, and the first movie that I can say I want to see a 2nd time. there was a lot going on with NWA that I didn't realize back then. they probably could have extended the movie another hour, at least. outside of hiphop, it was a good story of how society was back then. I also like the movie scoring, I thought it was dope when tears for fears - everybody wants to rule the world came on, it instantly put me back in the 80's. .......and there was about about 5 or 6 old white people in wheel chairs at the movie, that was interesting.
Hey dead end, just to let you guys know there is a whole hour of footage that was cut from the movie. I was thinking that some vital parts of the beef may have been included in the lost footage including the eazy e and Dre beef. Hopefully they release it as an extended version when it hits the blue ray and DVD markets
I thought this movie was bad for the most part. It was essentially a 2 hour ad for Dr. Dre, The Brand. Am I the only one who was upset with how he was portrayed? You could tell he co-produced the film. They made him look like a saint who always does the right thing. I guess Dr. Dre beating up women wasn't relevant to the plot. Other than that, acting was pretty bad and the 2nd half was incredibly cheesy and boring. A documentary would've been interesting.
That movie was amazing what are you talking about. Everybody were so happy after the movie and some people were singing along to the songs in the cinema. The acting was great. Lmao were you even paying attention when you were watching it.
TheSincereb11 Yeah obviously, I knew everything about old school hip hop and nwa before the film lol, the film wasn't even that accurate, like the 2pac scene, I think tupac was locked up around the time and he's recording hail mary wtf he wasnt even signed to death row yet lol they missed the beef between dre and eazy, and they made eazy look like a bitch in the movie but it's still great anyways.
Thanks for the review. A movie about Wu would be a fucking dream. I really hope it'll be done someday, especially considering RZA's love for directing.
Movie left out many things but the movie was already 2 1/2 hours long. Don't think they wanted to run the money any longer. But I was really disappointed not seeing Dre and Eazy beef.
I like in the movie how Cube said "bye felicia" i was like yyeeaahh lol and that Pac scene was chilling when Dre saids "i got Pac in other room grinding!" gave me chills man. I also like how Cube was writing the most memorable scene for Friday when he was like "you got knock the f*ck out" i was like aayyee! lol great movie
Kinge should've played Suge Knight in this movie
💀😭😭
Bruh 😂
Eazy was probably smiling when he saw the Chronic Billboard because he was gonna receive 25% of all revenue from the Chronic sales. And the billboard said "over 5 million sold". Dr. Dre's day became Eazy's pay day.
+christianaq94 lol hell yea
True shit
exactly
+christianaq94 lol Dre's sitting on a billi i don't think he's tripping about throwing Eazy a bone
not back then though

That's some annoying asshole.
Rofl
Dre and Cube went to the hospital but they didn't go to the funeral, Dj Yella was the only one from the group who went.

Right!!! Lmao. You knew that was strictly for the movie!
catastrophic3 lol I was the only one in the theater laughing while some chicks was clipping on that part. He did a MJ end of Thriller and shit. Lmao
catastrophic3 Especially how they made Suge look. Suge was whipping ass over a parking spot. Dre know Suge told him to get the fuck on. Lmao
👀AFTERMATH👀
+Jay TheJet lmaooo I said the same exact thing!
Think about it a psychological drama Kanye movie where it shows the craziness of West throughout his rap career
A Wu-Tang movie is necessary
+radiant child I'm sure the Wu has a bigger following than PE
Beastie boys movie ftw
(Also public enemy movie would be amazing too)
They got a TV show now
I thought eazy looked sad when he seen the Chronic billboards. he looked like he was about to cry.
The best parts of the film was Yella's reaction to No Vaseline and Ice Cube fucking up that guy's office.
Beezy on some Lupe Fiasco cosplay shit
i thought everyone was spot on is terms of looks besides snoop...he was a little off
great movie tho
RG swag
Yea Snoop didn't look like Snoop, & Eazy was a little too dark, but still was a great movie
+CodysFavorites I didn't recognize him in the first few seconds, but the second he spoke I though DAT'S SNOOOOOP! His voice and fucking swagger was totally Snoop Dogg. I thought they all did and looked great!

This should be the benchmark to all rap biopics to come tbh. Pac next.
It happened so what did u think of the movie.
The DOC made one of the best rap albums ever and is so unsung.
Favorite part
Ice cube: fuck ruthless, I'm Lynch mob nigga and the fight breaks out
For me, that part could have been cut out. It didn't add much to the film. IMO (+)
it added more tension between them in my opinion

I see you point, but at the same time Dre did have a hand in the film, im pretty sure he doesnt want to relive that beef between him and his best freind
From what I heard the original cut was 4 hours long so they had to cut many things out so the movie wouldn't be to long.
+Patrick Jupke Yeah I took it as Easy thinking "damn I wish that was me." Or something like that, it seemed like a bitter sweet moment to me.
***** I really hope so
+Jarreté Barnett I'm pretty sure F Gary Gray said that he was releasing a directors cut that adds an hour to the movie
+Patrick Jupke hope that stuff comes out on the CD version
Saw the movie last night, shit made me be proud to be black and proud of my people for creating this beautiful culture called hip hop, just seeing that movie made me wish I was a teenager back then in the 80s&90s
you guys totally misinterpreted the Eazy driving down the road scene. he wasn't smiling at the Chronic billboard thinking "So good to see my buddy make it big." He was laughing inwardly AT HIMSELF for not being able to hold on to his success as his peer did. he was completely down and out at that moment of his life (in the film). i thought it was one of the pivotal and saddest moments in the film.
chaosinorderrr he was about to get paid forever out of that album, he wasn't sad at all 😂
he was sad nwa was over, yes he was still getting paid but he really wanted to stick with nwa
That dope house scene was how you start a movie.
Wu-tang movie next please!
Agreed...If the Clan had a movie with the same director it would be a masterpiece..
Mike hit the nail on the head. This movie would have been infinitely better had it portrayed the characters realistically. They even have a part with Eazy critiquing Ice Cube's movie Friday ..when it came out a month after Eazy died. Would have been way more hardcore had they not sugarcoated anything
The 3rd Act was all over the place, but other than that it was a very good movie
the pac scene gave me chills but it bothered me that they had him playing hail mary when clearly they shoulve been playing something from all eyez on me like ambitionz az a ridah in order to be accurate wit their time periods...hail mary came out like over a year later!
F. Gary Grey already said he wanted the movie to be three hours long but couldn't because of the studio so they had to leave some stuff out. So hopefully we'll see a directors cut.
a movie can only be so long myke. plus when eazy seen the chronic sign, he looked sad to me! good convo :)
+noah perry Yeah they had to cut almost an hour and a half. I thought Eazy looked like he was proud of Dre deep down.
noah perry
That eazy chronic scene was so stupid. Eazy got paid of this shit why the fuck would he be sad😂
They missed out dr dre and dee barnes also
Just bought the special edition DVD today, the scene where eazy tried to bring the gun is on the unrated directors cut version
Mykes voice always b coming out da cut at the beginning lol
no talk about bye felicia scene
Myke be looking like Travis Scott
People singing at a movie like this!!! That's the point!!! If your not into the lyrics y would you be in that theater really!!!???
Great review. You guys' reactions to every scene was everything i was feeling too.
They should make a Run DMC movie next
+DominickPK And BDP or Juice Crew
Run dmc? Honestly don't find them is interesting. I would still like to see a movie on def jam during the 80s. We could see cool j, Beastie boys, public enemy etc.
I want to see a Vanilla Ice movie
+DominickPK i say PE should be next or 2pac
Already announced a sequel with PAC/snoop
Where was Arabian Prince though? haha
The guy they got to play Snoop Dogg seemed like he just walked on set that day was given some lines.
the director said they cut out alot of the movie. it was suppose to be like 3 and a half hours. thats why the dr dre beef with eazy e was cut off
According the Suge Knight's lawyer, the movie painted Suge in a bad light.
Ahem...I'm sorry but the movie actually painted Suge in a good light.
Damn I love this channel!
The way y'all get into these conversations is awesome!.....keep it up guys....oh and congrats on 100k.....
Money* not movie lol
My only issue with the movie was the way they portrayed Eazy-E at the end. They made it like he was down on his luck but in reality he was doing great. He didn't kill Suge but he out hustled him business wise and was getting paid by Dre and Suge w everything they were releasing. He dropped Real M'fing G's which is one of the best diss tracks of all time and it went platinum. Plus he just signed Bone Thugs. The actor who portrayed Eazy was great tho and they got his IDGAF attitude down perfect. He was def the Compton G of the group
u guys put out quality hip hop reviews along with an awesome sports channel i just found out about..and now movies, man what don't ya'll do?!
Wasn't a perfect movie but it was completely enjoyable. As a fan, I loved that they slid in the influences of 70s tunes from Roy Ayers and Parliament.
I swear feefo turns into a death grips instrumental when he stutters, mans doin get got live 😂
i think they ain't put the easy and dre beef in the movie ren and yella then nothing to do with that it was really easy vs. dre and ice cube was beefing with nwa no disrespect but in my opinion it kinda din't make senense to put that beef or dre beating them girls in the movie it was a nwa story i think if the made a easy biopic by his self or a dre biopic it would have beem perfect then
If you know bone thugs story you'd know it would be a GREAT IDEA to make a movie about them .
hopefully when the CD version of this movie comes out it shows some deleted scenes and all the other extras
hope you guys are working on the Wave[s] review!! great review btw
yeah I agree with mykes point about the muted beef depicted in the movie because back in the day when are and easy went at each other ,for a while it seemed like there wasn't anyone else on the planet rapping
fart at 7:58
Thank you for the most wonderful 20 seconds of my life
💀💀😭😭😭😭😭
Mc ren was the best rapper in nwa
one thing for sure that i love about this movie is the fact that have always thought or made to believe Dre was soft but if this movie is telling the truth. then i'm certain that Dre isn't as soft as most people made us to think.
Myke Mc Ren first solo album was dope. Final Frontier was a big hit song.
Beezy rocking them glasses lol. Dope
Every artist around Eazy has fact checked to movie, you would think the person who passed would be held up to highest regard of respect in the story.
lol in the beginning it was like every dude Mike turned his head towards confessed XD
Love ya, Feefo. You say what I'm thinking. :P I love when you and Myke get into the back and forth.
I kinda agree lol hate to say it
+Mr xo have you got any nwa albums ? Did you knw the west coast story b4 u watched the film ?
Yeah it was some bs
TheSincereb11 Yeah obviously, I knew everything about old school hip hop and nwa before the film lol, the film wasn't even that accurate, like the 2pac scene, I think tupac was locked up around the time and he's recording hail mary wtf he wasnt even signed to death row yet lol they missed the beef between dre and eazy, and they made eazy look like a bitch in the movie but it's still great anyways.
Also Snoop was free styling off the head back in the day so him spitting his verse for that Dre record seems believable.
Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and MC Ren didn't go to Eazy's funeral though so it was still some animosity there
Great Review! Are you guys going to review the new Ganagrene album?
Good video and commentary tho! Respect!
I like in the movie how Cube said "bye felicia" i was like yyeeaahh lol and that Pac scene was chilling when Dre saids "i got Pac in other room grinding!" gave me chills man. I also like how Cube was writing the most memorable scene for Friday when he was like "you got knock the f*ck out" i was like aayyee! lol great movie
.
