Best way to sum this series up.... It's a little like an Isekai and Reverse Isekai at the same time. Also, Rory Mercury is best girl. I can't be convinced otherwise.
I've seen a lot of people commenting on the "JSDF propaganda" and personally, I just think it's the same as any OP isekai characters, only it happens to be japan's army. I think it's mostly the fact that for once, the military is actually useful against fantasy threats, if it were any other nation's army it'd be seen the same way.
I think I have heard that the anime is toned down from the original manga. The writer of the source might be the type that denies Nanking ever happened.
@@sea-envy3137 the manga is pretty much the same, the actual source material is a novel which might be where the propaganda thing came from, I haven't read it but it could absolutely possible
I've seen people hating on Outbreak Company(granted people in general seem to hate isekai) but honestly Petralca hikkikomori episode is what got me to fall in love with that series.
I liked this series since it reminded me a bit of the book series “Hell’s Gate”. A bit similar concept but things are a lot more balanced between the sides.
