Idk if you noticed but the newer version is actually faster than the older version. I prefer the older one when it was more heavy-hearted and personal to him.

Could you explain why you're saying that the new released version is not produced as nicely as the previous one? To me, the released one is more skillfully done!! I can clearly tell that Charlie put lots of effort into its production crafting in detail, and the result is truly MASTERFUL!!! Also, Dan&Shay adds more punch to it making the song FULLER, and their voice blends very nicely together. Don't get me wrong though, I DO LOVE him singing alone, it is so beautiful. . . . !!
@@reikomauer611 Just the way the new version of the record sounds, It's overall smoothness and tone. The new version Is well produced Don't get me wrong, but it's not like what it was. I think he nailed the sound and production the first time and compared to the new one it doesn't really carry the same emotion and thickness. The new version does pack more punch, which I like a lot. Especially in the chorus you can really feel the groove.. But the old one does a better job at telling the story which is why I think Charlie being the only singer on it makes it feel more real and true to self. Dan&Shays Vocals are great, fantastic even but It takes away from the main focus of the song. Charlie and his troubled relationship with this girl in his life that comes and goes when she pleases and her playing with his emotions. But then dan and shay are singing about her too.. So then it starts to come across to me as less personal and doesn't hold the same meaning. Mind you though, I have never really been a big fan of features on songs about one person with multiple people singing. Both versions have pros and cons but I prefer the old one with it's more voicenotes style to it. But that's just my thoughts on it, Not a massive deal but a couple nit picks here and there. Overall both versions are good I just like the old one a bit more than the new one. he probably wanted the feature because well he wanted to but also to change up the record a bit to add some sort of new reason to listen to a song that's been leaked in its entirety for 2 years. P.s. I agree, their voices do blend well.
