      Whats up Aaron, here’s an idea for your next video, you should do a gear breakdown / video statistic reveal where you get the analytics on your channel and see the follower and engagement activity as well as profit from youtube for the videos hope it helps give you an idea for some more informative videos !

    The best spearfishing channel on TH-cam hands down!! You keep it real and your videos are awesome, some of the best underwater footage on the tube!! One of my bucket list items is to go out on a charter with you. Keep the breakdown part of the commercial dive, it shows that what you do is not just for the money as some may think. You love what you do and it shows!

    I love the patience on display with some of those shots. I know just how hard it is when the adrenaline is high, but all those spine shots are cool takes all the fight out of em. I always found it super hard to shoot with a flashlight, it's like your brain is trying to aim two different things at the same time and it does not compute.

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice stone shots. As is true in big game hunting snd big gamefish spearing, taking that extra second and getting the shot right results in far less energy, less wounding, and time retrieving it. Good job!!!!

    WOW!!! What an awesome vid Aron. Love to see the wahoo showing up in big numbers like they are. Still al little slow here in Jacksonville but is getting better. Just out of curiosity, it would be cool to see a profit break down on your vids/channel. I also love the idea of making a supergun rig video for both your bottom and blue water rigs. I made a makeshift rig and isn't the greatest so I would like to get an idea on what and how you use your gun and rig. The Bluegabe and kelly collab was also very cool and entertaining. This was an awesome video! Love the channel, discovered it a couple of months ago, been binging when I can. Have you ever gone over how you find the wahoo? Do you have spots, then mark fish and drop the flashers and get in the water? Also, how many of those throw flashers have you lost to the depths? I like the transparency and would find a youtube earnings breakdown cool. So cool to see this channel grow and get more successful, you are a class act.

I'm too old now but I love watching your channel and respect your skill. I also empathize with your respect for the fish; not taking questionable shots. Harder with a Hawaiin Sling but we had our methods for loading up. Blue water spear fishing; just out of the question. Honest question with no BS behind it. Also as somebody who has only fish in the ocean once or twice but is an avid lake angler. Is it ethical to take that many fish of that size even if it is commercial?

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is, on a small scale being selective like this I don't see anything wrong with it. would never do it if the population wasn't thriving. we see literally thousands and thousands of these during the winter months. and that is just the fish that happen to swim by, its a big ocean. but you also have to realize a day this good comes once every few years, this isn't every day.

    • @KeyWestWaterman

      content is easy, just start making videos and put them out there, if you mean commercially. Starting from scratch is almost impossible, extremely difficult at the very least. it was 4 years before I started to actually get into the green with my charter/commercial business.

    For a video suggestion. Would you consider doing a tour of the area you live in Maybe show some local hangouts hotels and rentals that are available in the area. Show where your fish markets at local restaurants you like to visit. Nothing too specific we don't need your house address. But if I take a vacation to the keys what are some things I can do on A-day when there's 30 knot winds.

    Wow! What a classy man! I mean it; I’m not the type to flatter; I just believe in complimenting great things when I see them. At 64 years old, I’ve seen greed, evil, foolishness and stupidity that surfaces when opportunity to make money comes to the fore. In this video, you showed discretion in this situation depicted in this video with regard to safety by quitting the harvest when you recognized your fatigue. You showed concern for the market to which you sell your catch by only bringing the fish properly iced. You didn’t expose their prices for possible competitive exploration. Further, you’ve shown wisdom in so many other videos too. You are probably one of the most qualified TH-camrs to actually instruct in your type of work. You impress me with every video I see!
    I am interested in your TH-cam aspects of your videos, as I’m thinking of beginning some for my collegiate and ministry efforts, and I’d love to hear what are the best practices; where are the hurdles and any insights you can share. Honestly, my biggest regret in life is not having more men like yourself in my life as friends. I’d honestly love to drive from where I live near Gainesville, Florida to Key West to buy you a huge dinner just to meet you.
    I know you don’t know me, and all kinds of crazy happens on the internet. I’m not hitting on you, or looking for anything from you. I try to live a life of honor, respect and righteousness. When I see these things, I try to acknowledge them favorably, because I’ve conducted too many funerals for great people for whom neither I nor others acknowledged their wonderful qualities. Thank you for all you do and especially for the classy way in which you do things!

    amazing channel Erin amazing! I live in Edmonton Canada but I am from the northwest territories Canada. so we don't fish like that. I grew up at the merging of Canada's two largest rivers the McKenzie and the Liard rivers, the McKenzie is a muddy river and the Liard is a clean river and you can see the separation of the two for 500 miles. the volume of water there is 214,284 m3\s so a lot off water, it'ssoo deep that life jackets won't help because the water just drags you under.

    I love your channel and I’m not the type to be negative. But Your comment that the population isn’t in trouble because you see alot when fishing I feel is misguided. The fish in the ocean are in decline world wide. I love catching and keeping, but we need to promote conservation above all else.
    Stay safe sir

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To make a blanket statement that all species across the world are in decline is misleading, some fish are struggling, some fish are thriving. There's no better stock assessment in my opinion than physically seeing them in the water.
