Did u say his parents are pretty much “white”? I thought he was mixed Guyanese & White, is one parent African descent Guyanese or East Indian descent Guyanese? Either way, why say “he’s pretty much white”?
He’s of East Indian Guyanese descent on his mothers side. We refer to his upbringing as mostly white because of the British colonialism that’s been deeply ingrained. There’s a lot of internalized racism there. Outwardly he’s treated as a POC, but internally they are very very white. I imagine this is what many colonized countries had to learn to survive, but a lot of their roots are lost unfortunately.
